It was an excellent experience dealing with Raheb. Most other plumbing services were charging a fee just to come in a diagnose the problem, and than would provide an estimate making the whole arrangement very open ended and uncomfortable.

On the other hand Raheb just told me he would by take a look and didn't feel it was a very serious problem. He was pretty straightforward that he would give a quote and if I liked it he would fix the issue than an there.

When I called Gary and asked for an in home estimate he said that plumbers do not usually offer that - which from my frantic research over the last 2 days I know to be untrue, but he said he could see what he could do so when I asked him when he might be able to come check out the problem he said to text my address and he'll try to get to me on his way home. When I pressed him for a time so that I am not waiting on standby all day, I also let him know I have others giving estimates today too because I have never needed plumbing work done, and needed to know what a fair price was.

He flat out declined to work with me stating that he "doesn't work on top of other plumbers". Obviously I don't need two plumbers at the same time, but I am certainly not going to let myself get taken advantage of so I WILL price shop, I am allowed that.

But apparently that worried him - so, good thing I dodged that bullet. Bad referral, and bad treatment, and sadly it reflects poorly on this company for referring me.

I need to replace my kitchen faucet and may be the one in bathroom, and may be adding water filter under the kitchen sink. I called them last Thursday, text the pictures, and never hear any thing back.

I can say that Raheb is a good plumber, response fast and so on, but the thing that impresses me the most is integrity, you can be assured that the job will get done and with a very fair price. He came in to change what we all thought a simple fix, which ended up being an arduous task that spanned three days, he stuck to it because the alternative is a massive work that would involve taking out the pipe.

Safe to say, we have found our go to plumber :) I found American Home Plumbing Service through yelp after finding a solid leak in my main water valve. Raheb answered right away and was here in less then 20 minutes.

He was willing to come back early (630 am early) just so I could get to work on time the next day. Instead he made a point of coming back after our consultation to fix the problem so I wouldn't get penalized on my water bill.

Raheb was quick, professional, funny and knowledgeable. In other words this was the most enjoyable experience from a bad situation.

Definitely use this company if you have any plumbing issues. I needed to have two shower faucet cartridges replaced that had become worn out and had started malfunctioning.

I called Raheb because he was nearby and was open on a Sunday. I couldn't believe that he answered my call at such an off hour.

But he answered my call, and requested I send him a photo of the faucet. He offered to come to my home that night, but I said the next day would be fine.

He agreed and came to the house as promised the next day with the necessary parts to make the repairs. Raheb really knew his trade well, and made the repairs quickly.

Now we couldn't turn the water back on because the shower valve would leak. And because life is a bowl of cherries I had to get food poisoning at the same time which meant a lack of running water for the toilet was a BIG issue.

But then we called Raheb this afternoon and he was at our place within the hour! After some careful extraction work, he was able to remove the darn thing without scratching the brass surround (which would have meant a very costly repair), replace it with the new cartridge and put everything back the way it was. Since he was there, we also asked about a sink in an unused bathroom that stopped flowing.

He fixed that in 2 minutes - showed me how to unscrew the piece at the mouth of the faucet to release the build up of minerals was preventing flow from the tap (doh!). So within an hour, we had 2 items fixed and our water back on.

Hurray for Raheb! I've had what I thought was a trivial toilet problem which came and went away for months. After trying to fix it I finally gave up and called Raheb.

He is an absolute gentleman and arrived exactly on schedule and on short notice. Problem solved.

I was impressed with the service and his positive and friendly personality, so I asked if he could take on another job of updating my water take fixtures to code and installing some missing earthquake straps.

It was not his fault since he was not well informed. We didn't have any ideas of other faucets that would work; there was no other faucet to compare it to that we knew would fit in it nor did we think we were supposed to do this.

Anthony had said he would bring choices, but this was not in David's notes. The faucet itself was the same shape Anthony had suggested (Anthony picked that shape.

It was nothing like what we had, but we were willing to try it.) but had a touch/electric component. The electric component was not mentioned with Anthony and we were unfamiliar with that feature.

We were hesitant, but again, we had no other faucet. This is not something we would have chosen on our own and after a few days, I know why we don't like it.

I am also not sure with the change of faucet type if the price should have changed. This is a small business and I am always happy to support small businesses, but given the communication issues, I think it's a concern.

We paid a lot for the faucet installation and are not 100% happy with the faucet choice (but it does seem to be installed well). If you plan to use them, make sure you have specifications of what items you want put in or you may be disappointed.

Had a toilet recently installed by Whilliam Mercado. Whilliam was very detailed in his assessment giving a quote, explaining the work performed and scheduling flexibility.

For future plumbing work I will use Plumbtree again and I will gladly recommend Plumbtree to friends. Our electrician had a mishap with our rewire project and drilled into a water line.

Anthony from plumbtree plumbing came and resolved the issue. He was extremely kind, professional, thorough, took before/after photos and left us with a much better setup! I wasn't home but my wife was when a water leak occurred.

She set up an appointment online and they came out next day, which was great! Mario showed up and provided my wife with 3 options to fix the issue, the cheapest being $750+. The most expensive being $1800+.

The actual problem was that a 1/2" copper elbow sprung a pinhole leak. The solution is to remove that elbow and solder in (or crimp) a new $0.50 elbow.

That's it. Nothing more, nothing less.

It's the simplest of all jobs, and takes even an amateur 10 min or less. I offered (over the phone since I was traveling) Mario $200 (which is too much, but i respect the trade and responsiveness) to do that job, but he refused.

So after he drove 30 min each way to our semi-rural property, instead of spending an additional 10 mins to fix this basic problem he left my wife without running house water. Thanks mate, that's some quality service.

These guys apparently also charge $40 for an estimate. The industry norm in the Bay Area for this trade (like most others) is free estimates.

I don't know how these guys have so many 5 star reviews, but this is the last place I'd call. There are a ton of quality plumbers in the Bay.

I've used many of them over the years for copper, galvanized, PVC, indoor/outdoor, you name it. I would recommend any and all of them over these guys.

UPDATE: So these guys said that the faulty elbow couldn't be isolated and hence the water needed to be shut off for the entire home, and also leading to the recommendation for an additional shut off valve. I got home last night and in fact there already are shut off valves on both sides of this elbow (video), so the issue can be isolated while water is provided to the house.

I had a sewer line with root intrusion (at the seam of the cast iron pipe mate with terracotta pipe), and Freddy talked me through my situation and options. He gave me peace of mind, which was important for the cost of the project.

I can not be more happy with it. My main water line broke in the front of my house which threw me into a tail spin and research mode.

Many years ago I spent a lot of money pouring a beautiful walkway up to my house and of the course the leak was under the cement walkway. First day I got a local guy to come out and detect the leak.

It was near the edge of the concrete but not repairable and from the 70's. There was no way I was going to tear up that walkway.

In my research I came upon "trenchless" water pipe replacement. With this no concrete is torn up.

I called a few companies but was especially impressed with Freedom Plumbing's website because I really wanted someone that specialized in the "trenchless" process. They are located in San Jose and my house was in Clayton so I had a feeling that was too far but called anyway.

Freddy answered the phone and was very informative and knowledgeable. You could just tell he knew his stuff.

He even gave me a reasonable estimate over the phone and was happy to come all the way to Clayton the next day to look at the job. When I met with him the next day he explained everything and answered all my questions.

Trenchless is the only way to go!!! Don't waste a lot of time calling around, just call Freddy. He and his crew have their act together and will leave everything like they were never there.

Freddy's team replaced the main between my water meter and house by working around a large tree and recently installed hardscape. Work was done quickly and his team also removed and replaced the plants that were in the path of the new main.

In addition he also found a leak in one of the values in my irrigation system and fixed that as well! I really appreciate the extra effort and would certainly use him again. Freddy's team do pretty good work as other reviews also mention.

They helped us in installing a new hard water line to the water sprinklers. They also worked on a couple other things that was pointed out in our inspection report.

Even hydro jets don't help. The clog is located underneath the carport concrete.

Freddy and his team opened up the carport concrete, replaced the clogged section on day one. On day two, the carport concrete was restored.

All done quick, clean and at a reasonable price. Very professional, friendly, clean, and Freddy took the time to explain everything beforehand.

I talked to the owner about a problem of my sewer line. The owner basically grilled me because I don't have enough plumbing knowledge.

What he claimed is that my house is too old and the pipes may not fit for today standard pipes. I had a hard time to explain the problems as it sounded that he was an expert to know everything, but just cannot understand my simple problem of replacing the sewer line.

He thought it would be a great favor if he comes for an estimation for free and he was very reluctant to do so. He promised to follow up but never did that.

On the contrary, I contacted another company and they did an inspection for free and finished the job the next day. Had Freedom do a re-pipe of my house.

Freddy came out and gave some suggestions. Estimate came back in one day and scheduled a visit.

Technicians came out and did a great job. They couldn't totally complete job due to HVAC obstruction.

They completed a partial re-pipe and lowered their estimate accordingly without issues. Appreciated the response and their service.

Our sewer gets backed up every so often so we wanted to see what was going on. The staff was friendly and quick to set us up with an appointment.

The price was fair for the service they provided. We got a USB video of the sewer inspection with a voice recording of the condition of the pipe.

I had to scramble to turn the water off at the meter. As soon as I did, I started calling around plumbers that could come out quickly to help me fix the pipe, as I had no water in the house of 5 people.

No showers, washing hands, or using toilets. 4 guys came out, Freddy from Freedom was 2nd lowest offer.

What sold me on his quote was that he was going to use a trenchless tunneling system called the HammerHead (minimize trenching and destruction of 50 feet of my yard) and the fact that he suggested that he install a pressure regulator without being asked (unlike the other plumbers). The pressure regulator is important because after replacing a 60-year-old corroded galvanized steel pipe with a brand new copper line, the water pressure in the house could go up dramatically, causing damage to appliances and pipes in the house.

Freddy even agreed to install a Flo by Moen leak detection system at no additional charge. I am glad I decided to go with Freddy, his guys showed up on time the next morning, as agreed.

His crew of guys (Christian and 4 others) worked non-stop, tirelessly, and professionally. I could definitely tell the guys take pride in their work, they all did a fantastic job.

Hired a detection leak detection from another company but the technician falsely identify the location and suggested smashing and removal of concrete along with repiping , along with calling US gas to mark gas pipe(luckily I went with Freedom Plumbing)...otherwise I may have ended up paying more than I should and project may even take longer. Freddy sent over the plumber Ramiro who quickly located the leak location which was NOT under the concrete as the other leak detection technician said.

The leak was caused by tree root which broke the irrigation pipe. After the locating the leak, the tree was removed along with root.

The leak pipe was identify, cut, and replaced. Mr.Ramiro has a very hard working ethic and determinaton who work tirelessly in the rain for 7 Hours.

Arrived at 8:25am, tree removed at 11am, remove small portion of concrete and replace pipe. After 7 hours working in the rain, Ramiro had to call it a day before the rain was too hard and the hole he dug for identify the the pipe was too continously filled with water regardless how hard the pump work.

So he called it a day and return 2 days later completing the project. Overall rating 5 stars.

It minimizes the work area and is only required to dig 2 open sections. After replacing the water line, they cleaned and left work area looking as the original landscape as possible.

You had the correct number as we connected both times...first time you said you got off the job late so not coming (after the scheduled window of time) and second time we proactively asked if you were coming out and you texted back a positive confirmation. Just last Wednesday, we finally got a small "damp" section of our front yard properly diagnosed as being the result of a leak in our water main. Umberto from Freedom Underground came over to look at the problem and give us an estimate on either Thursday or Friday.

After talking to San Jose Water Company, the work was scheduled for Thursday of this week. But on Saturday, the leak suddenly got a lot worse, so we had to call SJWC to get them to turn off our water.

(They said it was a 500-gallon/hour leak at that point!) I texted Umberto to tell him the problem, and he was able to reschedule the work for Tuesday of this week. The work went off without a hitch, but SJWC didn't show up to turn the water back on before Umberto and his team had to leave.

However, Umberto said that if I texted him after SJWC showed up, he'd come over to open the valve in our basement slowly, so as to let the air out before we started using any water. That was really an above-and-beyond offer, which I happily took him up on! And then this morning, Umberto and a co-worker showed up to replace the dirt over the new pipe (which I had wanted left out until SJWC blessed the new pipe as being leak-free).

To summarize: Freedom Underground gave us an estimate on short notice, changed the scheduled work date on short notice, fixed the problem in one day, returned to turn the water back on after-hours that day, and showed up promptly the next morning to fill in the holes left by the work. Kudos to Umberto and his team!!! Very thankful for the work Freddy and his team did at our church.

Some specialize in trenchless solutions, the others in traditional trenching. When Freddy returned my call he was friendly and efficient.

He was patient and informative answering questions. Very quickly I concluded Freedom Underground was the right fit, and Freddy's proposal hit the sweet spot for quality and value.

Freddy called USA first thing next morning and by early afternoon all utilities had marked their lines. The following morning Freddy and his team were on the job.

We also loved that they offer trenchless piping: they didn't have to tear-up the 50+ feet between our home and the city's main line at the street.

We just had them install a new water line from the street to our home and they did a great job. The existing line ran under our neighbor's property, so they had to bore underground so as to not damage the neighbor's landscaping.

It was far from an easy job given that there were lots of large rocks that made the boring process challenging. Given the difficulty, I think others would have likely just given up, but Freddy saw it through and was very responsive and great at communicating with us thru the entire process.

Freddy is one of the best ones out there in my opinion! We were getting some bathroom work done and the City / West Valley Sanitation district needed us to install a new property line clean out. We contacted a few plumbers and some of them flat out refused.

In hindsight I know why- the West Valley Sanitation district is pretty tough to work with and I actually think their (West Valley Sanitation's" 'draconian: processes makes it very hard for both home owners and plumbers, ultimately driving up the pricing for such jobs. Freddy gave us a quote which was right in the middle of other quotes, but he seemed to be most professional, courteous.

He came on time and his crew started work right away. It was a bit tricky to find the sewer line in our property, but they got that done eventually.

They had to dig a pretty deep trench, but they were careful with enclosing that while working and then in the evenings they covered it really well. The inspection schedule was tricky and we didnt expect inspection to spread over almost 3 week period- there were 3 inspection milestones.

and Freddy was patient and understanding of that. We feel he and his guys went over and beyond and were honest, trustworthy and the price they charged was worth the work they did.

We started out with what I thought was a pretty straight forward underground main line leak and it turned out to be a rat's nest of issues caused by the original plumbing installation. Freddy was patient and fair throughout the process over three days - even coming himself on a Saturday, as we found the each "surprise".

Freddy got the right people here at the right times and kept our water flowing through the majority of the project. They fixed things the right way stayed on the job until it was complete and verified.

Freddy was a friendly and courteous communicator by phone, email, and text, and he and his crew worked over the bizarre time between December and January holidays, mostly working while we were away on vacation.

They pulled the permit, dug the trench, and did the job in about 2 or 3 working days over a 3-week period, with no troubles or complications that I'm aware of. They safely covered the open trenches during the wait time while the city inspector was unavailable, and they always left our house plumbing connected & fully functional.

I informed them that replacing the yard turf didn't matter much to me as we plan to tear it all out soon anyhow, so I can't judge if they would do a great job on that if desired. Paid as quoted, done and good! Nice! The only thing holding Freedom Underground back from a 5-star review is that some of the formal communication follow-through never happened. One of my tenants got cranky when the crew showed up to work without prior notice (we'd cleared the general idea of when work might happen, but I'd asked Freddy to tell me when they actually would begin and he didn't), and I asked repeatedly for a copy of a final paper invoice and/or permit information - no luck there.

Still, this is relatively small stuff and I'd use Freedom Underground again, just so long as having precise notification of work and followup paperwork weren't mission-critical for me (they usually aren't for residential plumbing work, so that's fine). For me, the most helpful part about this job was that Freddy & crew were happy to do the job with my limited (read: near impossible) availability, so we never met in person, I was never present on site for work, and most communication was texts and after-hours voicemails.

My work life is busy and this is how I operate, so I appreciate others who can match my needs there, and it wasn't a problem for Freedom Underground. Freddie and his crew took on the tough job of finding a small gas leak in our main supply line after we were shut down by the PG&E for more than a week. Freddie's professional demeanor and absolute willingness to be of service to us in any manor possible came through as he greatly reduced the cost to us by working diligently to detect the leak when he could have easily sold us an entire new pipe line of over 200 Feet in length.

He had his assistant went up to the roof to examine the roof vent. As it turn out, we don't have a proper vent roof for the bathroom and that's why the bad gas has no where to go.
