I am thrilled to write this review for Repipe1. They have provided outstanding service - always doing what they said they would do and doing it on time.

Absolutely outstanding in what they do: repiping. Their bid was fair.

The work was quick and of excellent quality. They bypassed the four unit building's horrible, leaking and thoroughly clogged galvanized supply lines in just two days.

They worked to minimize disruption of the tenant's apartments. Even the plaster and drywall patch guys worked lightning fast and did excellent work.

Why the four-star review then? I also had them do some plumbing things that where out of their core-competancy such as adding a drain and vents. That part of the job did not go very well.

For example, they left raw cast iron drain (it should be threaded) sticking way too far out and very much in the wrong place. I ended up having to bring in a different plumber to resolve the drain hookup.

But if you stick to just repiping, they can't be beat. To say that I am disappointed with Repipe 1 would be a huge understatement.

The short story is: We hired Repipe1 to replace the pipes and drains in our house. They didn't finish the job and did serious damage to the house.

Here is the long story: Since the problems are so numerous I am putting them in a list form: 1. Floods and leaks The first leak/flood in the basement closest to the street due to improper connection.

Fixed within 24h but did not clean. We had to clean up the water.

The second leak/flood in the basement close to the back stairs. Never figured out the reason.

Again, minor but it did get out camping gear wet. The third flood was under the house and this time quite a bit of water accumulated.

The reason was that there was debris from the old pipes not cleared out that created blockage. It took a while to soak up all the water.

A lot of our tools and winter sports gear got wet. The forth leak/flood was pretty major.

Around dinner time on Mother's day water started to rain from the boards on the celling coming from the 2nd floor toilet. It lasted hours.

There was damage to a cabinet and it's contents, floors, walls and it leaked all the way to the basement. There was a lot of water everywhere and it got us worried about mold.

It is also hard to watch so much water go to waste. The explanation was that it had something to do with a pressure valve on a toilet on the second floor that they forgot to bring/install.

When we called Ramiro, the project manager, to report the leak he refused to come saying "What do you want me to do? Leave my family and deal with you?" We were shocked by such a rude response.2. Damage to the house and appliances: The workers broke one of the antique windows in the hallway.

While cutting the celling a wire was accidently cut, which is no big deal it took about 10 minutes to fix it when they finally got to it, but we were left without a light in the kitchen for almost two weeks. After the work on the kitchen pipes was done and we were told all is good to go we ran the dishwasher.

After some time I smelled something burning. I checked the dishwasher and saw that there was no water coming in and it was running on dry.

Thankfully I was home and caught it before a it caught fire. Again, the explanation was that there was some debris left unchecked in the pipes that prevented water flow.

Initially when they started drilling nothing got covered for protection. Only after I pointed out the thick layer of dust they threw some plastic on the beds, but by then all the bedding had to be washed and we spent hours wiping the dust, vacuuming and mopping.

When work was done on the toilets on the 3rd floor, the floors, again, were not covered and the pieces of drywall were nor cleaned up after the workers left, which resulted in scratches on the floor from opening the door. For some reason the water heater on the second floor was disconnected, the copper pipes leading to were cut and taken without our knowledge or permission, leaving us without hot water.

Our pleadings for taking care and respecting our home were ether completely ignored, or rudely answered with: "Don't worry, we'll clean it/fix it latter". There are scratches on the floors, dings on the doors and window sills and trim, scrapes, pint, palm and finger prints everywhere on the walls and celling.

On occasion they didn't even bother cleaning up their food leftovers(we try to keep mice away). When they finally put up some plastic to cover the walls it was so sloppy with the wrong tape(white) used, it created more damage.

By trying to "fix it" by smearing some paint over it they made it look even worse. Then there was the issue with the sidewalk in front of the house.

They made two large holes, loosely covered them with sand and left like this for weeks. The city inspector came and told us that that's a code violation and they have to be covered with something hard, like a board.

Now Repipe 1 is telling us that the work is complete and demand the final payment. The Senior City plumbing inspector was here yesterday and assured us that there was no final inspection and the job is not completed.

We were very patient and understanding as Ramiro and Carlos gave us explanations for all the problems that came up. We listened to all the excuses and promises as they didn't show up on time, or didn't show up at all, or come unannounced and told us they are about to shut the water off for the day.

This project was to be completed before the end of May 2015, almost a year ago, and the Inspector is telling us that the permit is about to expire. When I call the Repipe 1 I either get a "We'll look into it and call you back" and no call back, or and get yelled at by some guy named Sam.

We are left with unfinished and questionable work, extensive damage to the house and pretty shaken by the whole experience. Don't do the same mistake we made, hire someone else! My original review left out something.

I did not mention that , as the job neared completion, the installer and his boss both said that they could not finish the job without replacing the main, at a cost of another $1,800. Both the installer and the salesmen had agreed before starting the job that the main did not need replacing.

I had no choice but to agree to have them dig up the old main, which they assured me was galvanized from the street to the house. As I was looking at the mess they made of my lawn and landscaping, I noticed a 4 foot length of old looking 3/4 inch COPPER pipe on the ground next to the trench.

Upon inquiry, I was told that it was the old main. The worker pointed to where the end of the old pipe projected from the side of the trench they had dug.

It turns out that the galvanized pipe only went a foot or so into the ground, and was copper to the street. It was too late to stop them, since they had cut both ends of the pipe and laid their own.

I took pictures so that I could show the management. Sam, the manage,r had a hard time believing me, until he saw the pictures.

He begrudgingly voided the $1800 charge for the unnecessary work. He made a point of saying that there was no warranty on the work because I was not paying for it.

HERE'S the kicker. I got a call from Sam after I posted the review, asking why I was so negative.

I explained that I had gotten tired of calling his crew chief over and over and still ending up with things that were not fixed properly, so I finished things up myself (crawlspace vents, holes in the garage drywall, etc). Today I got a bill for $1,800.

When I call their billing department, I got Spartac, who reviewed the whole list notes on the account, and informed me that Sam had reinstated the charge because of the negative review. If this is business as normal, you probably can't trust the reviews here and on Angies list.

Spartac then claimed that the reason the charge was reinstated was the pipe they took out was obviously faked as it was too small to be a main. In short, they were claiming fraud on my part.

I did not mention this part originally because Sam blamed everything on the salesman and crew chief, and said the responsible people would be dismissed. Today I was told the crew chief is still on the job, so obviously the same thing can happen to others.

5 or so years ago, Repipe1 did a complete repipe of our house using Uponor PEX. I called Repipe1 on July 10th to inquire about changing 1 line (~20') that supplies the Refrigerator icemaker.

The original line had a shutoff valve (at my request), that was no longer needed and I wanted to eliminate the access door in the ceiling. I understood this was a SMALL job, but thought since Repipe1 did the original work, it seemed logical to ask them first.

I explained the entire situation on the phone. The response from Repipe1 was: "We only do complete house repiping.

You need to call your neighborhood Plumber". Say what? You call this 'Customer Service'? Wow, if I knew this company cared so little about their past customers, I certainly would have selected a different repiping company 5 odd years ago.

Beware. 2015-7-13 Update.

Sam the Account Mgr contacted me a couple days after my above posting to explain Repipe does not have a Service Crew to handle the small jobs. He explained that they would need to pull someone off of their normal installation crews in order to handle my job.

With a company the size of Repipe1, it seems logical they should have 1-3 Plumbers on call for these little jobs and Service call, but that is my opinion. I was happy that Sam contacted me and even offered to send me $100 to cover more than half the $175 cost.

For this responsiveness, I have updated my above rating from 2 start to 5 star as Sam went the extra mile to address my concern. It is not easy to find Plumbers to do small jobs on PEX tubing, which made this situation more of an issue for me.

Thank you Sam for being very customer focused even to this customer from the past! 2015-7-18 Update. My attempts to contact other Plumbers to replace my small PEX refrigerator waterline were unsuccessful.

So I contacted Sam the Account Manager at Repipe1 and asked him again about doing my small job. Sam got his crew of 3 guys there on time and did the job for cheaper than anyone else.

I can say that Sam went above and beyond to make this customer satisfied. I would not hesitate to recommend Repipe1 to anyone needing a PEX pipe job.

The quality of the work was great. They said the repiping with pex would be a three day job and it turned into a six day job.

Tina was the office contact and was a terrible communicator. If they would have broke down the process when we first spoke to Bill, this would have been a better experience all around.

Instead it lead to many more days that my man had to take off of work. The bottom line: These guys are great at repiping and I would highly recommend them for that.

They are only okay plumbers though, and I would not recommend them for other tasks outside repiping. The salesperson, Bill, will promise you the world, and you will be disappointed.

Also angry, because you will spend a lot of time on the phone straightening it out. The details: We repiped our whole (tiny) house from the original 1920's steel to copper.

When we got the quote, Bill swore it would be a piece of cake to replace a leaky shower valve, install a laundry box for a washer and a gas line for a new dryer. When the guys showed up, they were ready for the repipe but they knew NOTHING about the other work that Bill had promised.

In the end, after a few frantic phone calls and a 7am trip to the plumbing store, the plumbing and gas were installed. However, despite Bill's promise that the washer/dryer would be installed, we had to hire a third party to do the installation.

In addition, the Repipe1 guys did not do a leak test on the gas line, and we found a gas leak later that had to be fixed. We're not completely sure it was the result of this work, but we did find it shortly afterward.

On the plus side, the copper pipes are great so far, and the price was good too. I had my house in Los Gatos repiped last week.

The job was especially challenging because my house was built in 1950, the bathrooms have no crawl space, the pipes are in the attic, and most of my exterior and interior walls are made of concrete blocks. I received 4 bids for the work and Repipe1 provided the best price.

The salesman, Bill Landers, was totally professional and patiently addressed all my questions and concerns. The guys showed up at 8 am as promised and completed the job by 9 pm.

The project manager Ramiro and his crew were very pleasant, neat, professional, and knowledgeable. The copper pipes were installed in one day.

Ramiro promptly followed up on a few things that needed to be addressed, and scheduled the inspection and the walls to be patched. The work easily passed inspection and the wills were nicely patched..

The entire process went well. I am very happy with their work and would recommend Ramiro and the company to anyone needing repiping.

Got several quotes and chose Repipe1 because they had good reviews and also didn't charge extra for hooking up a new water heater and shower valve while doing the work. I was amazed that they could get to all the plumbing on our two story home with minimal damage to the drywall, and the best part was that they patched everything before they left! Very quality and quick work, recommend them highly! Repipe1 did a good job from the initial contact through completion.

When the work was done, an old faucet started to drip and they came out with a "kit" of new washers and fixed it. The job should have taken 1.5 days.

Rather than create a second day of work the team asked if they could stay late and complete it. That worked better for us to so we said go for it.

They banged it out and the work was done well. After the final inspection and permit was signed off, they sent out a sheetrock patching pro who did a five star job of blending the texture.

I initially had it scheduled for Monday the 13th, but was asked if it could be done sooner--over the weekend. I consented and they arrived on time Saturday A.M..

The guys worked hard and they were nice enough, but I expected more. For example, they did not post the permit to replace the water pipe and when I asked, they didn't know whether a permit had been pulled.

Also they provided no safety barriers to cover the trenches that must remain open until the job is inspected-two days from today if we can get the inspection on Monday. This leaves me liable if someone falls into the hole and injuries themselves.

This is totally unprofessional surely they had this issue on previous jobs. Lastly, they did not install a pressure regulator on my new water pipe although it was included in the price along with shut off valves.

These guys came in and worked 15 hours straight repiping in all copper. They didn't make a mess, their sweats and connections were great, and everything looks as good and it could.

Their price was right in line with most of the other companies. I recently had a hot water pipe in my slab start leaking.....a week before Xmas.

I talked to Bill on the Thursday the 18th and on Sunday the 21st Ramiro and his crew showed up at my townhouse at 9am, walked through my place explaining everything that they were going to do, covering up furniture, protecting valuables, masking off areas from dust, etc...I had my whole bottom floor repiped and running hot and cold water by 4pm. At 8:30 monday morning Juan and George showed up to repair all of the holes in the sheetrock, and they also explained everything to me and made sure everything was masked off.

By Tuesday the 23rd at noon everything was done, all holes patched, taped and textured. As they promised I was not able to tell it had been patched as they were able to match the texture to the rest of my house, all that's left is for me to repaint which I expected.

They even repaired a few places that needed it, that had nothing to do with their work. I'm not saying this whole process was not an inconvenience , because it was big time, but between Bill, Ramiro, juan, George, and the other workers, they made it possible for me to have a decent Xmas thanks to them following through!!! In order to hook up some basic connections, they worked till 8:30PM the first day, working through a few difficulties as are probably common with the kind of vintage house that needs repiping (small house- 1.5 baths). They were prompt and dilligent.

They did excellent copper work, but did cut corners in a few places. The PEX piping was laid a bit haphazardly, one section was too close to a flue, and the drywall patching was only roughly done- a good bit of extra, if minor, patching and sanding needed to be done to bring the sections to a paintable state.

But on the whole, a much better deal that we were looking at from any local plumber, both in terms of doing a complete job, and doing it for a reasonable price. Had a washer line leak.

They never fail to accomplish the most difficult jobs we send their way. On this occasion, our technician Jason arrived ahead of schedule, had all of the parts and items on his truck ready to go and made quick work of an install.

Not only did he complete the job to perfection, he left the area surrounding the new water heater cleaner than he found it. We will always make our first call Gotelli Plumbing.

When you're calling a plumber, the likelihood is that you're probably facing something that is beyond your means to repair, potentially even an emergency. I'm happy to report that I received excellent service from start to finish with Gotelli.

Long story short, I had a tankless hot water heater that was on its last legs and even caused a leak in my ceiling over the Christmas holiday due to a failed recirculating pump in my attic. I called Gotelli the next day and they sent out a technician right away who showed up 45 minutes later and we we walked through the problems I was facing and the potential solutions.

The weather was dreadful, pouring buckets, yet they still took their time to answer all of my questions to make sure I had as much information to make my decision as I could. It took me a few days to compare prices and availability, and since this happened between Christmas and New Year's, scheduling was top of mind.

While figuring out what to do. I received a follow up from Gotelli asking if there was anything else I needed to decide on how to proceed.

I found this to be very helpful as there were a few questions that I had, which were easily answered and we quickly figured out the next steps and scheduled the installation for the following Tuesday after the holiday. This was on a Friday before the long New Years weekend, and I have to say I was impressed with their ability to squeeze me in.

I was lucky enough to work with Jason Ralph and his apprentice, and they did a phenomenal job with the install making sure that all the details were taken care of. They even saved me money as it was determined we did not need an extra recirculating pump for the kitchen sink which was a welcome surprise.

The installation looks amazing and I'm super happy with my choice of Plumber. They even added an expansion tank to my system which has helped with the knocking in my pipes, which was an unexpected benefit.

It just goes to show you that working with a professional pays off in many ways, some of which you don't even realize at the time. I've read many reviews on this company, and it does seem to be a little hit or miss, depending on what your experience was.

Not only are their prices exorbitant, but their expertise is not to par. We initially hired them for a simple toilet repair, which they quoted at an outrageous price compared to other plumbers.

Desperate, we reluctantly agreed, hoping their supposed expertise would justify the cost. We were wrong.

First of all, I don't understand why looking into the tank and diagnosing the pump as an issue wouldn't also identify immediately that the rubber below the flap was falling apart. There are only 3 parts there.

A trained eye would have noticed that before even starting. Isn't that the idea behind the $120 consult to figure out what's wrong? To inspect all parts? Each fix led to another issue resulting in us needing a new toilet.

The quote for a new toilet installation was $1200 (NOT including the actual toilet). Yup, you read that correctly.

This is for 1-1.5 hours worth of work. We relied on Gotelli's expertise to find a similar fit.

The new toilet left us with a new issue to replace the floor because the new toilet has a smaller base something they should have known or made sure of. We ended up paying a small fortune for multiple visits, each one leaving us with a new issue.

Gotelli prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction. They overcharge for basic services and then compound the issue leaving you with a $1800 bill, and a mismatched toilet.

My recommendation is to look elsewhere. Came in at a short notice to replace a leaking pipe.

The work was done well, efficiently and is of good quality. The prices are a bit on the expensive side but nevertheless we are satisfied with the services provided.

Gotelli plumbing was able to get two plumbers to me on the same day of my call. Jason and Adam were the two plumbers that arrived.

They were professional, efficient and fair. I highly recommend Jason and/or Adam to anyone looking for a trust-worthy hard-working plumber.

Jason did a great job on the disassembly of a water tank connected to a solar system. Somewhat complicated configuration while he worked through the process with logical steps and a welcome solution.

He is a highly skilled pro, efficient, and has great workmanship. Courteous, friendly and offered several suggestions that will serve me well.

Tom Robertson of Gotelli provided excellent, responsive , and reliable service. Tom was able to explain our plumbing problem and recommend clear and specific solutions.

I would definitely recommend him and the company as well. They're probably fine....but I wasn't going to pay close to a hundred bucks just for a water heater estimate.

Other companies didn't have that policy and they got my business...? My usual plumber was unavailable so I decided to try Gotelli. I had a drip leak of my outside home water line.

It appeared to be a worn out washer or seal of some sort. The employee came, looked at it for a minute or so and typed into his iPad.

He told me the project would cost around $1,600. When i asked for the breakdown of the pricing he said they done give that out .

He also offered a "free" inspection of my water heater...he said I had a leak there too and that would be an $8,000 project. Serious upsell and not trustworthy.

I paid him the service fee and had Burkell Plumbing come out at the recommendation of a neighbor. A washer fixed my leak and I was only charged $75.

They charged us a price of $475 to snake one outdoor drain that wasn't even able to be cleared. It took them a total of one hour from start to finish.

Do not recommend. They tell you that they have an $89 fee to come out and assess that is waived once the job is started.

They don't tell you how expensive it is upfront to snake one outdoor drain. We would have found a more reasonable and fair company like Roto-Rooter that at least gives you its fees upfront.

I have had two experiences with Gotelli plumbing. In 2019, when I was out of town, my wife needed to call a plumber for an emergency.

She called Gotelli. The plumber who came to our house, Jeff, gave her an estimate for the work and then grossly overcharged her when the job was done.

She felt cornered and had no choice but to pay the bill. When I got home and learned of the situation, I wrote a long and highly critical letter to Gotelli concerning this treatment.

However, last week, we needed to replace several of the aging pipes and connections underneath our 60-year-old house. I received bids from 3 highly-rated plumbers and decided to give Gotelli another chance.

Tremendous decision. I was especially impressed with Joey who came out to survey the job and provide me a fair quote.

It was not the lowest quote, but I felt good about him. A week later, Joey and Sebastian showed up at our home and fixed the main job and a few other smaller jobs.

We couldn't have been more pleased with the quality of their work, their professionalism, and their overall fun attitudes. I would strongly recommend Gotelli and also suggest that you ask for Joey.

Called Gotelli first thing this morning for a plugged toilet. They had a man out within an hour or less "during the holidays".

Had to take stool off the wall to fix. After putting the stool back and taking care of the clog, the water to the bowl no longer shuts off.

It keeps running after the flush fills the bowl. This wasn't an issue BEFORE the fix, so why should I have to pay nearly $600 (and that's the add on price! The stand alone rebuild price was around $800/$900 to my recollection) for them to fix something that was obviously caused by them servicing the stool!? I called the office to explain the situation, express my discontent and see if they could offer me a solution I would be happy with.

Nicole offered to let me speak to the tech who tried to charge me to fix something that wasn't broken before he worked on the clog and I said why would I want to speak with him? He's the one trying to charge me to fix something he caused to happen! I think I need a supervisor or manager. She says, and I kid you not, "Before you CUT ME OFF, I was going to offer you the supervisors voicemail too" with a tone of voice and attitude my teenage daughter has perfected.

Her reply was way out of line, not at all conciliatory. I wasn't using profanity, I didn't raise my voice with her, I didn't insult her, I admit I was upset, indignant about the situation, and yes, I interrupted her telling me I could talk to the tech...But the clapback was very unprofessional.

Kind of like charging someone to fix something that was working fine before you "fixed" the thing it's on. I think anyone would agree if you call someone to unclog your toilet, and they do that, but you still can't use your toilet because he shut the water off due to it running all the time because of something that happened when he was fixing the clog, you'd be upset too Nicole.

That was crazy. I won't use them again.

I think a company should fix your issue, not cause one. And for a thousand dollar unclogging, I expect my valve to work as it did BEFORE you unclogged the toilet it was attached to.

This is the third time I have used Gotelli and once again the experience has been exceptional. I called in a panic that my tenant had called at 8:00 in the morning saying that they had no hot water.

I called Gotelli and Joey Bernsten was at their house within an hour. Joey was so easy to work with.

He explained what the problem was, what needed to be done, and of the time and cost and took it from there. Once Gotelli is on the job you know you can sit back knowing the job is in good hands.

We had a small clog issue in the bathroom sink last week and 2 technicians were able to come out the next day and fix it. It was a bit more complicated than expected, but they had the tools and the knowledge and fixed it cleanly.

I appreciate that one of the technicians kept booties over his shoes for the whole service, keeping my floors clean. These guys did the job in less than 20 minutes and they worked efficiently.

Steve was on time and put in a new faucet in our kitchen and then repaired two p-traps in our two restrooms. He completed all of the work in a very reasonable time and I was extremely happen with his work.

I highly recommend Gotelli Plumbing for a quick response and a completed job to my satisfaction. The staff interaction has been clear, concise and helpful.

Gotelli is the best. We woke up today to no hot water.

I called Gotelli and within an hour, Fernando arrived, investigated and resolved the hot water heater issue, plus did a review of the entire plumbing system. He is professional, personable, outlined the options, and got the job done.

Garbage disposal went out. I called Erwyns Plumbing Inc.

and he told me $400. I decided to call around though.

Dumb. I called Gotelli and they told me they would come out for $89 to diagnose and apply the $89 to the disposal replacement balance.

Big mistake. The $89 is not refundable if you change your mind.

They came out and said the garbage disposal DID need to be replaced but they wanted $669.08!!!!!! What I should have done was eat the $89 and called Erwyns Plumbing back. Gotelli guy replaced it in less than 20 min.

I GOT TAKEN FOR A RIDE! Oh well. Won't do that again.

Gotelli is overpriced! Any company that's worth anything won't charge you for diagnosing an issue. They only took 20 min! :( We used Gotelli Plumbing before, and our experience with their team has always been outstanding.

We had to do our annual backflow preventer testing. Nicole, who scheduled our appointment, was very friendly and joyful.

Sam is highly knowledgeable, courteous, and talented. I was surprised to learn that Sam had 18 years of experience as he looked in his late 20s.

If I could give Sam and Gotteli Plumbing 100 stars, I would. We will continue to use and recommend Gotteli Plumbing.

Came out to asses a leak which turned out to be a faulty bathroom faucet. We had a replacement faucet on hand.

I would agree that the vanity was small and it wouldn't be a super easy change out due to space issues. However the quote was at first $900+.

When I balked the price was lowered to $800+. I asked how long he expected it would take to change the faucet.

2.5-3 hours he said. Since when do plumbers make $300 and hour?? That rate is exorbitant.

Be careful when you have them come out. They don't charge by the hour but by the job.

Faucets change outs cost $900+ as their standard charge. If you don't have them do the work you are out $89 which they were clear about up front.

This review is way overdue. Tom with Gotelli is a miracle worker.

We decided to bite the bullet and call a plumber a couple of days before Christmas. We had one shower that was leaking and out of a commission for quite some time and another with a broken handle.

We put a request out to yelp and Tom contacted us almost immediately and said he could come out the next morning. He gave us a super fair quote and got started right away.

While working to repair both showers he discovered a water pressure issue that we didn't really know we had. Within no time we had two working showers and our water pressure was amazing!! Not only was he super knowledgeable and efficient he was just an all-around nice guy.

I cant recommend him enough. Thank you Tom and Gotelli Plumbing :) My last review was about an outrageous quote.

$6500 for a conventional water heater replacement. In that review, I said I remembered a good friend's brother was a plumber, we did it ourselves.

I had put this on another company's yelp review with similar quote but at $8k LOL. So either one of these companies reported me to the county about not having to pull a permit.

Well, the county told me that they hear this often, wonder why. I thought it was a scam to have to pull a permit, never heard of that for a simple water heater, we not building a pool.

But ok I pay for a permit $85, your quote was $400 to "pull a permit". It is a 10 minute online app, you don't have to wait in line at city hall and fill out by pen, this ain't 1990 anymore.

Why you charge $400 when its about $100? An inspector came and said everything was done perfectly, PASS. And it wasn't an all day job as you guys mentioned.

Also, PRV replacement for $900!!!??? The expansion tank needed to be replaced with water heater, that was throwing off the pressure. $60 tank at Lowe's that you guys quoted $400.

No need to replace PRV, online part is $200??? Got water heater at Lowe's most expensive one $1500. Lowe's offers installation and got quoted $1200 including a permit.

So $2700. I could of done that but rather give that money and help a friend's business.

I mean if you guys were around $4k I would of went for it, local business and I am sure you guys have the experience over Lowe's, years and years but come on, COVID times, everything is more expensive and lots of people are struggling. You need to make your margin, but not this crazy.

That was until a different bathroom shower wasn't draining well Then another shower was had and whoa! Huge sewer back up into our downstairs bathroom. AWFUL! We called Gottelli at 8:30 am and our man Jared was here by 9:30am It turned out our sewer line to the street was plugged.

He unclogged it as best as he could We need to contact the city now about replacing the connection. Tree roots are involved too Jared had been out before to install a circulation pump to the hot water heater.

No more wasting water while the water gets hot Anyhow Gottelli and Jared are awesome Did I mention that Jared is not only professional, knowledgeable but good looking too! I had Gotelli plumbing come out to inspect our crawlspace, under the townhouse, for a sump pump, as we have some water pooling there. The service was very professional and setting up the appointment was easy.

They told me that they charge $89 for coming out and I was fine with that. The technician who came out was very professional and courteous as well.

However, when I took him to the crawlspace, he said that they charge $385 to crawl under the Townhouse and inspect it! This was a shocker as I had specifically said that I wanted the crawlspace inspected when I setup the appointment. They should have told me this when I first setup the appointment.

Further the technician told me that they don't work with HOAs anyway! Wow, they could mention this on their website or even ask when they make an appointment! I ended up paying $89 for absolutely nothing. Gotelli needs to do a better job sharing this kind of information up front! They are so professional in other respects.

Joey arrived early and he installed the parts I had purchased. He offered me a senior discount which I very much appreciated.

Called them to fix a toilet that was running. The work seemed okay, but the repair guy was there less than a half hour and charged almost $400 ($393.66 to be exact).

When I asked them for a breakdown of parts and labor, they refused to give me one, and said that everything was by "the job" --- which leads me to wonder how it came down to EXACTLY 66 cents... (guess they are trying to make it seem like there was actually some "calculation" involved in determining the price).

I know everything is expensive these days, but this really seemed excessive and felt very ripped off. Would never call them again and do NOT recommend.

Overall a mixed experience. We had a leak under our sink which we could not diagnose.

We called this company to come fix it, and they scheduled us quickly and professionally. The plumber came and spent some time diagnosing the problem, and he recommended changing one old hose and the garbage disposal.

Total cost $900. We accepted the quote and he went ahead and made the changes.

He did it quickly and left the area clean and presentable. So far so good.

Unfortunately, this did not fix the leak at all, so our $900 and a perfectly good disposal were both wasted. I called the company angrily the following day and they sent out a plumber and a seemingly senior plumber, diagnosed the leak again and seemed to find it this time (in the hose in the faucet) and replaced it.

I have not seen the leak recur but I will obviously update this review if it does. Overall, we paid $900 for work that we did not need, but at least they did not try to charge us for the work they did to diagnose and fix the hose that actually was the problem.

I would have left this as a 4 or 5 star review if they had offered to refund the cost for the labor to install the hose and disposal that we didn't need that they did yesterday and only charge me for the parts (only fair since we are keeping the disposal) + the cost of the parts and labor needed to actually fix the problem. But at least the leak is gone.

And the new disposal is a bit quieter than the old one. My wife and I moved from the Central Valley to Petaluma two years ago, during the Pandemic.

Our "new" house is about 20 years old. We knew that we wanted new appliances but it's difficult to do everything at once on a fixed income.

So, long story short; we finally saved up and went out and bought all new kitchen appliances. We found a good price at a big box store near us.

The appliances were delivered and some installed, but the house was not set up to accommodate some of the hookups for the gas and/or water requirements. That which could be installed and hooked up, was installed and hooked up.

The workers indicated that I was going to need a plumber. I called Gotelli and they sent a man out the same day.

Tom Anderson arrived and assessed our situation. He also diagnosed a leak inside the garage wall and installed a new water heater! The problems with the appliances were fixed with an expertise and level of ability that is rare in this present day.

Along with that, Tom noticed that one of the new appliances had been installed incorrectly. Suffice it to say; Tom did everything right.

His affable, easy to like personality stands in the shadow of his "old school" work ethic, attention to detail and 100% dedication to customer satisfaction and quality service. We could not be more pleased and satisfied with the job and work performed by Tom Anderson beneath the umbrella of the Gotelli Plumbing Company.

In this world, you get what you pay for. Gotelli Plumbing is worth a little extra because of the quality and customer service provided.

I would not hesitate to call them again for any plumbing related needs. Tom of Gotelli Plumbing is a wizard.

He knows what to do as soon as he sees it and makes sure it's done right! Nicole in the office keeps everything going and is always sweet on the phone. Highly recommended! Wow, I failed to read the reviews about all the formerly satisfied customers that have turned irate over fee structure changes.

Wish I had. Now I'm out $817 for not paying attention.

We have used Gotelli before and were satisfied with both the quality of work and the price. Unfortunately, their billing model has changed.

It's now over the top outrageous. First, off, yes, they charge a $89 diagnostic fee and it doesn't go towards any work.

While that feels greedy, I can understand their point of view. We had them out because we had a list of small plumbing issues such as dripping faucets etc that needed attention.

They came out, spent an hour on the diagnostic and then went and wrote up a bid for the items that needed attention. After presenting me the bid and picking my jaw up off the floor, I agreed to have them do two small tasks; replace two outer hose bibs and change the washer responsible for a drip in the bathtub.

This work took an addition 45 minutes. The final bill for 1.75 hours of work was $817.

Outrageous. Not sure why they're willing to let all these loyal customers abandon them, but so be it.

PS - I should note that my wife and I don't like to slam small businesses on social media without giving them a chance to defend themselves. My wife called the office and shared our displeasure and she was met with total dismissal.

So they're free to cash our check and we're free to warn you to guard your wallet. Gotelli no longer breaks down labor and material costs, but quote a ridiculous 'task' fee for any job.

So they tried to charge me nearly $1,000 to replace a kitchen faucet and a couple of angle valves, using parts they had in the truck. Look elsewhere unless you like getting ripped off.

I have used them for many years for multiple tasks and always happy, but after today sadly it will be my last time. I had a simple job of unclogging a shower that took no longer than a half hour and paid $274.

Ridiculous. They now tack on a diagnostic fee of $80 that does NOT go towards the cost of fixing the task.

Called to price a tankless water heater and they wanted to charge $90 (actually $89) to give me an estimate which others do for free. That takes a lot of gall! Granted they would do a plumbing assessment which I do not want.

They wouldn't even an estimate or price of just the unit either! Well congrats you have succeeded in scaring me off, I am going somewhere else and suggest you do the same. Wow, I just had Tom here from Gotelli Plumbing and he was amazing.

I am always looking for that obsessed with doing it best and right person. This is that company and definitely this Guy! We were at first alarmed at the cost but quickly the way he was able to assess our layout other items of query, you knew he TOTALLY knew what he was talking about.

Quickly grading and assessing other people work and installment. This put us at ease immediately and realized okay, if this is the price to have this guy, we will do it cause in the long run he's planning and saving us from other problems that may lay just ahead or even in the long term.

His is a very interesting and personable guy. So glad I was referred this company and well now,Tom's our guy! He came to address a water running sound in one of our old toilets- needed a new seal.

And flush out our Noritz Wall hang Water Heater~ we know it should be flushed every year but we were a year behind and this pandemic is not helpful. He came in a mask and had booties if he came inside.

A well prepared guy. I highly recommend this company and Tom! I have used Gotelli Plumbing off and on for 15 years.

They no longer charge by the hour, instead they give you a fixed price on the spot for the work. If you refuse the estimate, you have to pay a fee and then find another plumber to come on another day.

They grossly overcharged me and refused to adjust the charge. I wound up paying $833 for 1.5 hours of a plumber's time.

About $600/hour. I suggest you find a plumber that charges fair rates.

Not Gotelli. We had purchased our home just six month ago.

Unfortunately, one of our under the sink pipes started leaking. Gotelli came out the day after I called them about the problem.

The plumber was professional and friendly. He investigated and found a cracked fitting and one lines washer/fitting was smashed inside.

He replaced the brass fitting and the water flex hose. All within a reasonable time span.

I highly recommend using their services. I have been a customer of Gotelli's for 25 years, but NO MORE.

In shock, pressed for time, and dealing with a difficult tenant, I agreed to pay $490 to replace a toilet flapper and a out door hose bib. It took the plumber 35 minutes to do this.

I asked the plumber what the hourly rare was and he responded that they no longer use an hourly rate. Future customers beware! I had a pretty bad experience and this company.

They were able to come out the same day, which was great. But that's where it went down hill.

The technician they sent quickly went to work on cleaning my sewer line, but neglected to ask me if i have a sewer ejector system. And because he didn't ask (and I didn't think to tell him), he winds up snaking my pump and severing the power line to it.

He then blames me for this mistake because i didn't tell him. The problem was far bigger than he could handle and he so wound up leaving after he fixed another toilet for me.

He winds up charging me $800 basically just for fixing a toilet and cleaning a line that didn't fix the problem. In his defense, the pump could have been broken before he further messed it up, but there are plenty of explanations that wouldn't require such a big expense.

He then tells me he'll replace the broken pump for $1900. For perspective on how absurd this price was, another company came over the following day and was able to clean out the sewage and replace the pump for $1600.

Huge fan of Gotelli Plumbing! We had Sam out this spring to install a new hose bib for an irrigation project. He was efficient, friendly and super competent--we have an old house with funky plumbing, and he was able to really think through the project and actually simplify our weird pipe situation.

We'd had another plumber out before who just added to the madness, whereas San really took the time to think about it and do the best possible fix, not just the easiest one. Fast forward to a few days ago and we had a different outdoor pipe spring a leak! Gotelli didn't have an appointment the next day, but they were able to put us on a waiting list in case there was a cancellation.

Amazingly, there was a cancellation and Sam was able to come back out first thing in the morning! Once again, he did an extremely thorough job, thinking through the project and coming up with a quick AND thoughtful fix that leaves our system in better shape than it was before the leak. Huge thank you to Sam and Gotelli for getting us back up and running so quickly! I wish I could give 0 stars.

Be forewarned!I called for a leaky pipe fix for my shampoo bowl in my salon. The leak was fixed well.

The problem was the man who fixed it also decided, without checking with me first, to change out my drain and stopper. I am not sure what he was thinking by doing this.

It cost me more for him to do this as well. I am a busy hair salon owner and decided that what was done was done and I thought that it would be ok and moved on.

I am short on time, he would have had to take it apart again and I am sure the old drain would not have been able to be put back in. My old drain and stopper were fine, it was a fairly new shampoo bowl.

It was not ok, it was a weird drain stop and I had to keep taking it out to let the water go down. I tried to find another drain stop, could not find one in my limited time.

Hair was building up in my drain. Several months quickly went by and I had to call them.

They refused to fix it saying I had a 30 day window and if I was unhappy, I should have called then. They admitted that a plumber should always get an ok when doing anything other than what was asked.

But they still said if I wanted anything done, I would be charged. Not cool.

Prompt, fast, efficient I called the office at 930am and Jared showed up sometime before noon. I'm still waiting to hear back from the other guys - The hardware on the shower was 50 years old and it started leaking last night, made me crazy to be wasting this water so getting someone here fast was a priority.

Ask for Jared, this guy was fast, knowledgeable, he had to do many workarounds with the generic store bought fixtures I provided to make everything fit, knew exactly what he was doing. By the way, Home Depot was a mess, a total sh-show in their bath fixture dept, every box of hardware was open so I wouldn't risk buying an incomplete kit, good ole Goodman's to the rescue.

Look, I had a great experience with these guys and would absolutely call them again. Go elsewhere.

Plumbers are nice enough but you better hope everything goes perfect. We had THREE visits to address what should have been a simple fix to a bathroom vanity.

Visit 1 caused a new leak, visit 2 didn't fix the leak (we paid both invoices) and visit 3 finally fixed the leak. We expected they would do the right thing and waive the visit 3 charges but no..

Threatening emails and calls from Laura and Danielle made us actually feel like the Italian Mob was after us and they went straight to threatening collections which is a huge turnoff. Then they indeed put us straight into collections and sent an email diatribe full of word salad as to why they're right and we're wrong.

Try to reply to the email...it gets bounced back by their mail system. Disgusting.

Classic study in how NOT to build lasting customer relationships with reasonable people. Should have looked at all the other negative reviews (with their combative responses) before selecting them.

#nevergotelli I called Gotelli after my sister-in-law informed me her kitchen sink had been back up for the past 3 days. She told me that a technician arrived the same day I had called.

Actually it was within an hour of me calling! She said the technician, Cory Nielsen, went above and beyond, was extremely polite, professional and helped guide her about her plumbing issues and any future work that should be done. She said she was extremely impressed and wouldn't hesitate to call them again! Same day appointments are almost unheard of in Marin but not only did the company return my call within the hour but offered two different time windows for that sane day.

Jeff was very knowledgeable and made suggestions to prevent a future plumbing crisis. While the pricing was high, the level of service received was well worth it--the "you get what you pay for" adage rings true in this case.

I will definitely call Gotelli again in the future based on my positive experience. Great service, ridiculously high prices!!! As you can see from some other recent reviews, Gotelli has changed their 'fee structure' and are now charging incredibly high prices for simple services.

For example, they snaked my kitchen sink line 18 months ago for $175. Not cheap, but in Marin County, it's probably a fair market price.

One week ago, same exact service, same sink, same problem...$460. How can you possibly explain a threefold price increase in 18 months time? And keep in mind, just to show up, they're going to charge you $89.

So you've got an acute issue you need help with, you're already $89 in, they figure you'll just agree to whatever they ask for, no matter how exorbitant it may be. To be fair, the plumbers are professional and honest and deserve credit for their work.

But the management is price gouging and seems just fine with it. I called the office and got the "you were aware of our new price policies, etc.

Thank you for sharing your concerns." Unless you're driving a Ferrari to work, I would strongly advise you to seek out other estimates because their prices are completely over the top unreasonable. After calling couple plumbing companies around town, we decided to have Gotelli replace our current tankless water heater, which broken after about 10 years.

Laura was the one who helped me, very nice lady. On the day of appt, Danny showed up on time, he has to relocate the WH due to the code has changed over the years and it has to be 4 ft away from windows and door, pain in the butt but he was able to do it.

Overall, a great experience dealing with Gotelli. We will continue to use them for any future plumbing needs I have never taken the time to write a review but I must take the time to write this one.

RIP OFF/DON'T USE....The rep came and within 5 min he said I needed a new hose for kitchen faucet which we were already aware of. He wrote out the estimate at it was going to be $590....for a 10 min job and the hose costs $90 (because my dad ended up purchasing the hose and put it in himself).

We also had to pay $89 which they were up front about and there was no issue there but when the rep said I'm not charging you the $89 I said oh is that deducted from the $590 and he said NO that is with the deduction. Totally feel taken advantage of as a consumer and lifetime resident of Marin.

I want you to know they gave us the estimate before working on the job but we while I initially said yes. I thought hmmmm seems very high and went back to my husband and told him the details, and at that point my husband declined the job.

The rep was annoyed and I can understand why. My father actually called day later to talk with owner who was just walking out the door, and could not take the time to talk so I decided to take the time and write this review.

Jim and Terry I used to love Gotelli's and used them for 15 years. Unfortunately, their new pricing policy has sent me looking for a new plumber.

They now charge $89 to come out and perform an assessment. This is on top of the cost for any work you want done.

I know exactly what needs to be repaired (leaky faucet) but they still insist they need to do an assessment first (and charge the $89). I called several times and asked to speak with a manager (I've been a good customer for 15 years), but the manager refused to speak with me.

I'll miss their guys, but if they don't want my business, there are other plumbers in Marin. Just before October's "atmospheric river" hit, Jared of Gotelli Plumbing saved us from certain disaster.

We had had the downward-sloping driveway to our garage repaved, and the paving company (who shall remain unnamed here) had left the drain in front of the garage door totally blocked. Meanwhile, a member of the paver crew had shown up unannounced to "fix" the problem.

Diplomatically coordinating with the crewman, Jared, who had only come by to look at the situation and provide an estimate, was able, on the spot, to install new PVC, connect the drain and a secondary line from a French drain, and snake to make sure everything was clear. Hours later the storm hit.

Were it not for Jared's quick action, our garage surely would have flooded, as well as our home's lower level. A narrow escape, thanks to a great plumber! I had used them in the past to snake my clogged pipes and have been overall satisfied.

I'm disappointed in that they now require a $90 assessment charge to go through a quick checklist (took 5 minutes) to verify if there are other plumbing issues in the house. All this entailed was flushing toilets and running faucets to see if it drained properly.

I knew that when I called that I just needed them to snake my bathroom drain and that is what I should've been charged for. So it ended up being $185 to snake the drain plus $90 to "assess" other plumbing issues.

I thought Sam was a 4/5 in the service he provided, but the fact that they ripped me off knocks off all stars. I'll go somewhere else next time.

Tom from Gotelli is a quality guy and an excellent plumber. I have 100% confidence in his process and methodology for trouble shooting, sourcing the problem and coming up with at least two solutions (typically a lower cost fix and more expensive replacement/upgrade - which is fine.

he is expedient yet thorough. I would have Gotelli a five on this latest service were it not for the new higher pricing process.

My only hope is that it will save us money in the long run because they know our house and can get right to the issue without additional analysis. We will call them back and have used them in the past.

Kudos for Tom! Gotelli has be our "go to" plumbers for several years. Every year we need our front line cleaned because of a Chinese Elm with invasive roots.

Very simple procedure: we have a very accessible clean out valve in the front, it usually takes around 30 minutes, and has cost around $200. However, today the cost was quoted as almost $800 !!, with them saying that additional work needed to be done.

We have lived in our home for 35 years, this is a known problem, and we know the cost. From other reviews, it appears that Gotelli has changed their pricing policy, but no way should the same job close to four times as much as it did last year.

Obviously, this is our last call to this company. We called this company to change out two bathroom sink faucets.

They charged us $89 for just coming out to give us a ridiculous estimate of over $1400 for just the labor. We already had the new fixtures.

We ended up going with another plumber who was much friendlier and charged us only $330. I will never use Gotelli plumbing again as they seem only interested in getting their $89 service fee and then bid a crazy amount to actually do the work.

On a Thursday, I called 5 plumbers, left 4 messages and when I called Gotelli Plumbing, an actual human answered. They came out the next morning, replaced the plumbing under our kitchen sink.

The person who did the work was pleasant, did the job in a reasonable amount of time for a reasonable cost, and cleaned up after he was finished. I would definitely call them again! Grazie mille! Tom provided superb service above and beyond expected.

He cleaned up a plumbing nightmare under my kitchen sink left over from the days of galvanized. He was extremely helpful and explained the job as he went along.

Also, very respectful of the space. He kept his tools and parts organized and on a matted area off the tile.

The dispatch reception women, Rhonda and Lindsay, we're both extremely helpful and pleasant on the phone. From the easy going, friendly and professional attitude of their staff, it's clear that Gotelli takes care of their employees.

Sam from Gotelli was terrific! We had problems due to someone else installing a new sink, dishwasher and shower fixtures. Sam from Gotelli Plumbing came in and saved the day.

He resolved all the issues quickly and efficiently. He was masked and professional.

I will keep Gotelli on speed dial. By the time the 'Other' plumbing company returned my calls (they are supposed to open at 7:00am & due to a meeting put my call on hold for 28 minutes, I found this out when they finally called me.), Sam was here installing a new pilot light unit for my hot water heater.

It was helpful to speak to Laura who could directly help me resolve the problem and tell me when someone could be at my house. The Other company called me 3x AFTER the job was done by Gotelli Plumbing, to set up an appointment tomorrow.

BEWARE. Gotelli, like a few other larger plumbing companies in the area, has moved to a system where they have set fees for certain jobs, and they are listed in a book.

These jobs are not billed on the actual hours it takes, yet on a set fee regardless. We recently had a gas leak, and were referred to them.

They came out, spent maybe 25 minutes charging our line to determine if there was a leak, then maybe another 15-20 minutes replacing a gas cock on our water heater. He was at our place for maybe 90 minutes...but we'll say 2 hours for the benefit of the doubt.

The fee? $1100!! Nearly $600/hour and all he did was determine that there was indeed a leak. Didn't fix anything.

Then told me he wouldn't be available to come back out to fix it for another 5 days. We ended up having someone else (reasonable) come out to replace the whole line.

He was at our place for a full day and a half (12+ hours) and charged us $2285 for labor AND all parts. I will NOT be using Gotelli again.

This practice leaves you feeling completely taken advantage of and vulnerable. Make sure you fully understand the charges before you move forward with this company.

And the manager/owner was "unavailable" to speak to me. UPDATE 8/8/19: After sharing my displeasure with the way they charge flat fees for jobs regardless of the time spent, Tina contacted me today to let me know they were waiving the $89 "evaluation" fee, as well as reducing the charge for the gas cock.

While I still feel I was greatly overcharged for the time spent, I appreciate this gesture, and do feel "heard". RIPPED OFF!!! I've used Golelli's before so when it came to my H20 heater going out and a backed up drain in the master shower of course I called them first..

Who knew they'd screw a client over and loose a $5500 deal because of it!! $82.50 Cost them the deal!! Allow me to explain,..... Joey showed up took a look at my H20 heater and said no dice you need a new H20 heater cant fix it, no real detail as to why other than its full of water,.

He's the professional so I said ok, Tankless is the way to go he said,.. How much I asked.,.

he chuckled and responded "EXPENSIVE" very expensive but worth it, I'll have my boss call you,.. no other suggestion to a resolution was presented like the other plumbers.

So we moved on to the Shower,.... he turned the water on in both showers and sinks and in less than a couple of minutes said YUP,.

Its your sewer line,. we don't do sewer lines you'll need someone who specializes in Sewer lines and recommend Roy's Sewer Co..

I responded really?? There's no way to snake it?? NOPE,.. It's your sewer line, sorry!! Call Roy's,...

He went downstairs and came back up to let me know that since he couldn't do anything they'd give me a break on the cost of $165 and only charge me half since he was only here for 20minutes... He's the professional so I cut the check for $82.50 and said good bye and began looking up "Sewer Plumbers" after doing my research online I came across and write this down folks cause he was awesome and honest!! "SMART ROOTER & PLUMBING" Sam showed up at 5pm,.

first thing he did was pop the lid off the sewer line out front,. and said Mam,.

"YOUR SEWER LINE IS FINE" of course I responded No No Gotelli's assured me it was the sewer line and they couldn't fix it,.. He came inside ran the water as well and within 30-40 minutes snaked both showers BOOM problem solved.

When I told him Gotelli's charged me $82.50 and did nothing he shook his head and said they should refund me as it was fixable,.. I agreed.

So of course feeling taken advantage of by Gotelli's I asked him to look at my H20 heater as well,.. he agreed it was full of water and offered a few solutions including a Tankless at $5500.

I thanked him and said let me check the budget as I'd rather go Tankless than put a "shortie H20 heater in" HERES WERE IT GETS GOOD,.. The next day as Sam had said Gotelli's shouldn't have charged me since they actually could've fixed it and didn't and I paid $82.50 for nothing I called the office, a very nice lady was surprised that Joey told me they didn't do Sewer lines and she'd call me back,..

When she called back I had to laugh, she said " I s/w Joey and well generally speaking when the drains back up like that its the sewer line and I would've had to send 2 tech's out to fix it at $350. so actually you saved money by us only charging you for 1/2 the call, our base fee for showing up is $165 for an hour, I could charge you that instead if you like",....

HUH??? WHAT??? I responded that would be true if in fact it was the sewer line was backed up, but it wasn't. I would've rather paid the $165.

and he did the job as he should have" She repeated herself to say,. "well he thought it was the sewer line due to the back up" I responded that I paid for a professional to give me a professional assessment and had he taken the 2 minutes Smart Rooter & Plumbing did and looked at the sewer line he would've known that and completed the job, He never even tried to snake it" I would've rather paid the $165 for a completed job than $82.50 for nothing,..

Told her I do need a H20 heater and if you guys do the RIGHT thing I'd still consider them and chalk it up to a mistake on their part,.. We have used them on various projects for the past 20 years and have been very satisfied. However, we were given a quote of $3100 for work that ended up taking 4.5 hours.

Needless to say they just lost a long time customer. Highest praise for Gotelli on replacing our old on-demand water heater! Same day initial assessment, and replacement three days later.

Customer service was friendly and helpful. Could not be more pleased.

Good service = happy customers = repeat business! Gotelli Plumbing came to our rescue when we needed someone the same day for our clogged sink. I was amazed that we could get someone the same day.

Jeff was our plumber and he was the best plumber we've ever had. He was courteous, respectful, explained what he was doing and gave me some good advice for future.

He was a really nice person and was great with our dog. Jeff/Gotelli will be my go to plumber from now on.

I have used Gotelli Plumbing for almost twenty years and received good service and good workmanship. I am sorry that I did not check reviews before calling them the time.

We had them come out to fix a kitchen faucet that was leaking slightly. We had the parts ordered necessary to repair the faucet.

The end result was that the plumber took the faucet apart, could not put it back together. When he tried it was leaking all over and completely unusable.

We ended up with a bill of over $1100. The company would not do anything to correct this situation.

I will not use Gotelli Plumbing again. Beware!! I have been a loyal customer of Gotelli for years, spending thousand of dollars on repairs and major upgrades so it saddens me that I have to write this negative review.

Gotelli recently change their pricing policy from hourly to a cost per job. This is not unreasonable if the estimates are, at least, close to the actual work.

We had a clogged downspout drain. The technician came out and informed me that the this will take at least 4-5 hours and the cost will be $800.

After two hours the technician told me that the roots are too invasive and he will not be able to complete the repair, but was still going to need the full payment. This means I paid $400 per hour for job they could not complete.

I tried to call management to discuss and all they would say is that you agreed to pay this. I asked to have the owners call me to discuss, but after several days I have not received a response.

Apparently, they are making so much money off of their new pricing policy that they don't care about retaining loyal customers. It is clear (especially if you read other reviews on Yelp) that they are significantly overestimating the cost of jobs and have no problem ripping people off.

Time to find a new plumber. We have used this company in the past with great results, and the service techs are nothing less than professional.

However, this last call was very expensive for a family on a fixed income. Given that the job was similar in the past the cost to repairs where extremely high for work performed in less than two hours.

Reconsider using these guys only if money is no object. I called for a small job to fix our sink.

They had a technician 30 minutes after the call and fixed the problem immediately I love this company Prompt efficient clean I first called Gotelli Plumbing to install a water presser meter and they did a great job so when I decided to remodel my bathroom so I called them again. However this is what I have been left with - A bathtub that was not properly placed and continually needs caulking, and soon after installation the tub developed a small hairline crack, a toilet ring that leaked water into the garage that soon needed to be replaced, recommended expensive Grohe fixtures that have tarnished handles, scratched floor marble related to a pedestal sink that was installed, and now the piping under the pedestal sink is leaking water and staining the marble.

Responsibility denied for the bathtub fiacso and now I have another plumber cleaning up this mess. I chose Gotelli based on its reputation as a local family owned business and reviews.My experience was not a good one.

The plumber assigned was clearly not capable of handling the job, a small basement leak found by a contractor. The plumber identified the actual source of the problem after performing more than $500 of unrelated work.

At the end of the visit he reported that he had figured out the actual source of the leak. The next day, after calling in his manager and 2 extra workers, and spending the better part of a day, he accessed and replaced the leaky pipe.

I eventually recovered the first day's bill. I now have walls to repair and a hefty credit card bill.

Unfortunately, billable hours seems to trump honest, professional customer service . It is disheartening when a well regarded company falls off the rails.

I now know who not to call. I've never written a negative yelp review.

But I will now. I needed to reduce the temperature on my tankless water heater and have the tub re-caulked.

The guy came and left without fixing either. His behavior did, however, sufficiently bother my wife that after about 10 minutes she wanted me to ask him to leave.

I should trust her intuition more often. I called the office and spoke to a very nice person who conceded that this guy tends to rub people the wrong way and that this was not the first time a complaint had been made.

In the future, a different plumber would serve our account. Great, right? Problem solved? Nope.

I got a very unpleasant and very unnecessary call this morning from Gotelli. It was Laurel Lee who, I believe, is the president of the company, but I'm not sure if that's how to spell her name.

Regardless, without asking me a single question about my experience, she began to list reasons why the guy wouldn't do the caulk. She gave all sorts of excuses like, "the gap between the tub and the wall is too large" and "mold is a liability," and other attempts to complicate and redirect.

I couldn't help but start laughing when I responded. "Come on, Laurel Lee.

You weren't here. I'm telling you that this guy didn't give any of those reasons.

Don't give me all these other reasons now. That's not why he didn't do it.

He just didn't want to because he said "that's not what I do and I don't have almond colored caulk." I told him that I'd go to the hardware store 5 mins away and get it for him. That's when he flat out refused to do it and said we "should be using grout instead of caulk." "Well, mold is a serious issue." She said.

"Mold has nothing to do with it." I said. "He didn't say anything about mold!" She hung up on me.

It's clear to me that with this company, it's really hit or miss. As you can see from the reviews on Yelp, people are either very satisfied, or very unsatisfied with the work Gotelli performs and/or the way they are treated.

Honestly, based on my interaction with the receptionist, I would have given them another chance. But after my interaction with the president, no way.

Laurel Lee should learn from her receptionist that at least half of customer service is listening. The other half is solving the problem -- not defending and employee's poor performance with new excuses.

There are plenty of other plumbing companies in Marin. I'll use one of them for my next job and definitely would NOT recommend Gotelli Plumbing to a friend.

*UPDATE* My response to Laura Lee. The fact is that Tom did not solve the issues, at all.

This has nothing to do with how I feel. The temperature setting on the water heater is still malfunctioning and I ended up doing the caulking myself.

My complaint here is NOT that I should be refunded due to Tom's inability and unwillingness to resolve my issues. As I wrote in my original review, I would have given your company a second chance based on my interaction with your front desk staff.

My complaint is about YOU and your attempt me to "straighten me out." I'm a business owner too, and I would NEVER call a customer or vendor and treat them the way you treated me. It STILL infuriates me.

Your attitude, your tone of voice, your attempts to cloud the issue with irrelevant details, and your automatic defense of Tom's strange behavior are the reasons why I wrote this negative review. You were pissed off when you picked up the phone and dialed my number and dumped all that frustration on me.

And for what? Because there was a note on my file that we'd prefer a different member of your staff to serve our account? In the future, maybe you'll learn to treat your customers with some respect, listen to their issue, and come up with a solution according to their complaint. I called when the business opened for a valve problem in our kitchen. The well spoken in the office was very polite and said they had an opening between 1:00 and 3:00 that day and gave me the rate for the hour.

Tony showed up at the very beginning of that time frame. He was clean and welled dressed in his uniform.

No plumbers crack here! Tony brought in his own map to make sure there was no mess. Our business was conducted quickly and my problem was fixed! I have no idea why the one star reviews on these guys.

Unreasonable high price, comparing with their name "Economy". $575 for unclog just using snake.

No other company can "beat" their price. Moreover, they came and used snake to unclog our sewer system but unfortunately it didn't work, still slow draining.

It's unbelievable they wanted to charge $575 without fixing anything. And...

they started having attitude and bullying my girl friend who were the only one at home. It's really a shame for them I couldn't find any reason to use this company.

GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! I GOT RIPPED OFF AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN FIX IT. I scheduled a $48.88 snake job over the phone.

The person over the phone confirmed it would be that price and scheduled someone to be over in a few. That is awesome! I have paid $150 a few times including one time on new years day I thought I was getting a deal.

I could not have been more wrong. When the guy showed up he asked what was wrong.

My lady explained the shower drain was clogged. He then started working and hit her with a bill for $325 after 20 minutes of work.

Super greasy I called the company and got to the manager and told him the situation. He stuttered and said that he would look into it.

He never called me back. I called back and they couldn't put me through.

Obvious bait and switch. It is unbelieveable that on top of all this when I get home I turn on the shower and it is still backed up.

They screwed up the wood shower bench too. Over the years of owning a home, plumbing issues arise.

I always call Economy Plumbing. They are courteous, professional, and honest about what needs to be done.

I would never call anyone else. I had a toilet that wouldn't flush and was advised by two separate companies to get a new one.

Economy plumbing fixed it in 45 minutes by removing the calcium deposits in it. These guys are the best.

CANNOT RECOMMEND UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! At the bare minimum, I can confirm that their pricing structure is far above what their competitors will quote and I was left unsatisfied with what I received for the amount of money I did give them. My issues was that an independent landscaper had damaged a section of piping, which caused flooding in the yard.

Now, while I did send out a few messages to different plumbers on Yelp, I don't recall asking any of them to come to my house. The technician somehow showed up and immediately started asking questions unprompted.

Took a look around and dug/bailed water for maybe 5 minutes at most. I was not informed beforehand that a quote would cost $150 prior to any real work being done.

I was then handed an invoice for the $150 as well as $1250 for the actual work and material if I wanted to proceed. I guess my mistake was that after consulting with higher rated companies, I assumed that the estimate would have been free.

The real kicker is that after I received a free estimate from a different contractor, the total amount I paid that company's service was less than half of what this technician quoted me for. "Economy Plumbing" does not live up to its name.

I will also note that I am still trying to figure out how exactly they got my information, as I currently have no record of contacting them directly via email or phone. At the time, I had sent off a few different quote requests so I had assumed they were one of the higher rated companies that I did initiate contact.

The only good thing I can say about this experience is that it taught me to be more aware of whom I contacted via Yelp. Always double check the identity of the individual that arrived and always ask EXACTLY what they will charge before they start doing anything that can even remotely be construed as "work".

If your time is short: -Charged an estimate cost without notifying me beforehand. -The work to be done quoted was over double what other companies charged, even without the estimate cost.

I am reluctant to call what happened a scam, but I will say that there are much, much better options in the surrounding areas. Both in terms of cost and quality.

Spencer is the person to call for the best service with Economy Plumbing. We had work done by another plumbing company and was almost sold a main sewer line replacement costing over $14K! Panicking, I called several other plumbers but no one wanted to come out after hours.

Spencer came out the same day after dark, even used his camera to see inside our main sewer line to see if we really needed replacement. Spencer reassured us we did not need to replace any part of the main line and that our pipe is good for decades to come.

The other dishonest plumbing company said we had clay pipes and the pipes had shifted and that we needed urgent replacement. Spencer didn't charge us for the camera fee and even replaced for free the vent cover the other company did not install correctly.

We trust Spencer wholeheartedly. Ask for Spencer and you'll be in good hands! Thank you so much Spencer! Contacted Economy Plumbing Sewer & Drain ("EPS&D") Friday evening as well as a number of other plumbers with a request to replace my tub spout.

While a handful of others responded sooner before saying "we charge blah, blah" Dan offered to provide a free estimate. His technician Oliver showed up on time and with my living in Shelter Creek, this is no easy feat.

After agreeing that the tub spout required replacing, it took all of five minutes for Oliver to accomplish this. In fact it was so fast that by the time I walked to the front office to obtain a parking permit, he was done.

It helps if you get the parts first. After calling 2 other Plumbing Co., they were the only one who responded on 11/21 just before Thanksgiving weekend.

I had a cracked clay pipe on my mine line which caused major sewage backup into the garage. Tech Albert analyzed the situation w/a camera to pin point the problem & proceed from there.

He pin pointed to where the problem or clog was & decide to break ground to clear the roots to bring it back to normal flow. The goal was to break ground to replace the whole pipe from clay pipe to cast iron so it's good for the next 25 years even thought they warrant to 16 years.

The total job came to about a tad over $18K but after seeing it I can see why the cost. The pipe was easily 24ft angled to the sidewalk clean out.

The fact that the job was crucial given the timing that it happened & Economy full filled it. Given no one makes a social call for a plumber unless they're needed.

Economy U ROCK. $385 for snaking a drain -- I called because they are located near by.

The receptionist didn't give me a quote and said the technician will give me a free estimate. When the technician came and to snake my drain he wants $385! The heck is that.

He claimed that's the price has been that high for sometime. Which I know it's bull.

I negotiated to $825 and paid because I made time. The technician was a little wise guy too.

If I could give a minus one star I would. Plumber called Henry came out worked for maybe 30 mins gave me a bill for $650 dollars to unblock some grease in pipe.when I call d company back they offered $100 off my bill which I have not received yet.

I called them back as still have blockage problem and phone call not returned. Called for a free estimate and was charged over 180 dollars even though no work was completed.

I was told since they diagnosed the problem I owe this amount and it would be deducted from The quote which was over 1800 dollars. What?! I am appalled that they would take advantages of a situation for profit.

Don't advertise free estimates when this is not the case! SCAM ALERT!!! My elderly aunt called for a clogged drain. Apparently the sewer line was "broken@ and needed to be replaced.

The method that these guys work is unscrupulous, dishonest, and a complete rip off. They charged her $3,600 to replace a short section of the sewer line.

She was taken advantage of by these scumbags. They will be reported to the authorities for elder abuse.

My son is a licensed plumber, he does estimates for a living, he says jobs like this are $1,200 to $1,500. Do not use the guys.

Yo "Business Manager" you're busted!!! You owe my aunt a $2,000 refund, we will get it! The guy gave me an estimate without entering the house or seeing the problem. Somehow that doesn't seem right to me.

SCAM ALERT!! They told me they snaked and hydrojetted my badly clogged kitchen pipes and that they couldn't break the clog. That was a lie, they did not hydrojet, but told me they had done it!! Then they said I needed two men to work all day, to replace 20 feet of clogged pipe under the house.

The job would cost me $3500. This is what Douglas told me.

If it were possible, I would give this business 0 stars. The plumber, Henry, took advantage of my senior mother -- a complete rip off for shoddy service.

The work was to replace a kitchen faucet, a basic single handle faucet (replace in kind). He purchased the faucet and refused to provide a receipt or the warranty.

The install took 30 minutes and the bill was $950. The bill was not itemized and he wasn't able to provide a cost for labor.

The faucet he installed was damaged and when he came back the next day, he still refused to provide the warranty, and tried to fix the faucet by hammering it My mother now has a damaged faucet and we're going to have to call another plumber to fix it. Complete rip off! I had an emergency toilet clog & called 4 plumbers before finding Economy's ad on the cover of the phone book (who would have thought of that?!?).

They showed up in an hour and fixed it in 5 minutes! Then Tony noticed the tank was leaking, so he replaced the flapper. He was done in 15 minutes total!! Were that the end of the story, this would be a 5-star review.

But then he handed me the bill. $275 for 15-minutes work? That's more than $1000/hour!!! He knocked it down to $250, but still that's outrageous for a business that advertises economy rates! No wonder they are available when other plumbers are busy! Don't get me wrong, he did good work & was neat & efficient.

I guess I should have asked first. Lesson learned.

I called yesterday due to issues with my pipes, and was informed I would receive a call back soon when the guy is on his way. It is now into the second day, no call back and no response from anyone.

After reaching out to others, this has been quite common with them. They lost my business.

Chris was prompt, friendly, helpful, and cleaned up after himself. He did a fine job on the repairs and I was still smiling after I wrote the check.

Pretty rare for me! I had called a number of places on Yelp and Economy Plumbing was the first to get back to me. Kudos all around! My parents had some issues with an old toilet, so I decided to call Economy plumbing to get it replaced.

They had someone come out within the hour and the plumber Macky was very nice. Replaced the toilet for a great price and did an amazing job! Will definitely call ECONOMY if I ever have any other plumbing issues!! Very reliable and affordable! Okay so- my dad is definitely familiar with plumbing and everything and he is usually the one to fix these things for me but he was out of town and I was helpless with a faulty toilet at home...so I did some yelping and stumbled upon this business.

I called them and told them what I could about my toilet and they got someone out to see me within an hour. I forgot his name but the process was pretty much straightforward and he was really nice about everything.

Most places would try to charge me more and even delay the whole process of fixing what needed to be done- but not this place! I highly recommend! I used the Magnet ad of Economy plumbing which I found it fr yellow pages, I called their office and the lady answered in a very accommodating voice and technician will be there half an hour but he came less than half an hour bec their office is closed to our home. Oliver the technician is very knowledgeable about what he's doing, his confidence and expertise when he answers our questions made us decided to take their company to fix our pipelines bec my concerns is why I kept getting clogged kitchen sink and smelly toilets after flushing it several times.

I knew fr the very start that Oliver is honest, respectful and knowledgeable about everything with sewer and drain. I knew that I made the right choice and decision doing the services with Economy.

Oliver and his team was fast, efficient and they did the job well done and kept their promise it'll be done in two days but done in one day and 4 hours. All of my family are now very happy with our new and no more stinky smelling pipelines and drain.

We will contact your company in the future for our next plan with the sewerage and our other home in Pacifica , we will request Oliver and his team to do it the next time too. It's nice to know that we still have honest, respected and good people taking care of our plumbing needs without you guys we can't deal with this stinky smell that also causes carbon monoxide!!! Who knows who wrote them? Look at the four one-star reviews - all within the last six months. Based on my friend's experience yesterday, they are true.

I'm writing this for him because he is 85 years old and does not use the Internet. That is why he was almost swindled by this plumber, Chris; he wasn't able to check reviews on Yelp or other sites.

As with at least one other reviewer here, he saw Economy Plumbing advertised on the front of the phone book and called them. There was a hot water leak behind the master bath tub.

Chris removed the faucet and told my friend that there were some broken parts that would have to be replaced. He was no more specific than that.

He said he would have to buy the parts and would come back Friday to do the repairs. He provided a verbal quote of $2,300.

He provided nothing in writing. I suggested my friend check with a couple of other plumbers for comparison.

I gave him the names of two other businesses who had done excellent work for me in the past. I told him that I had had a hot water heater installed - a complex job requiring two men and taking several hours - for $1,600, including removing and disposing of the old heater.

In the meantime, my friend called Economy Plumbing and told the lady who answered that he was cancelling the order. Chris called back quickly to ask why.

My friend told him he simply couldn't afford the price. Chris immediately offered to drop his quote to $1,800.

My African American friend may be older and a little frail physically, but he is no dummy. What honest and professional service provider, he asked me rhetorically, would quote a huge price and then reduce it by 30%, when he encounters a little resistance? My friend called one of my recommended companies.

Jacob, from Sovereignty Plumbing, came out immediately. The problem was a disintegrated washer.

He bought a new one plus a couple of small ancillary parts from the local hardware store and returned and installed them. He charged my friend $350.

Economy plumbing was the first one listed on google's preferred vendors and rightfully so thanks to Joe! I called rotor rooter on 9/9/17. They sent a kid didn't know what he was doing, was trying to charge $450 per hour.

Kitchen sink nightmare turns into a plumbers dream job. With the sink being clogged for about a week , our pipes had enough rice and oil and other food goodies to clog the drain, after trying to take the plunger to the hole and snaking the pipes myself, we find a bigger pipe in the garage made itself a waterfall, which led us to call economy plumbing.

Quick and very professional Robert came by, checked out our waterfall feature and the next day was able to make the plumbing up to code and upgraded all of our water pipes in one day! So they dropped off one of those Goofy Yellow Pages and on top there was two refrigerator magnets with plumbing Rooter which turned out to be Economy Plumbing and on it they talked about a $48.88 drain cleaning special. I spoke to the young lady a couple of days ago who assured me that as long as it was snaked or a plunger was used it would be $48.88 anything other than that would be an added charge! So Robert came out today and he immediately told me it was too $289 talk about bait and switch! He did indicate he would be speaking to the dispatcher because that's not the way they operate but how is a consumer to know unless you talk to the front line person on the front lines and ask questions and you should always ask questions with these folks.

He and Emanual took care with every aspect on assessing multiple issues causing drain backup and leakage in my kitchen and bath. They worked efficiently to get everything repaired including replacement of my entire kitchen sink pipes that were busted and the main drain to the basement: It wasn't cheap, But after comparing it to the estimated of 2 other companies -it was very fair.

I'm super happy with the work and their professionalism. Would definitely use again- these guys are my new plumbers! I am always pleased with the work they do and especially the attention Chris gives to every job.

We recently needed some emergency work done the day before Thanksgiving. As I was introducing Tony to the problem he quoted me $1600 for what I thought was not that big of a project but we had used them before and I didn't think they were unscrupulous.

I left for work and my partner remained at home. When I got home that night I found the bill was $1900.

After researching what was actually done I should have been charged half that. Never again and I'd advise you to stay away too.

Initially called to snake the bathroom drains, which they charged me $305. Shortly after they left, water was leaking from a sewer pipe, they came back and used a hose which seemed to push the clog further down, so now they had to snake the kitchen drain which worked fine before, and replace another leaking pipe which was fine before.

Albert said it was going to be another $1200, which was ridiculous I told him, so he quickly reduced it to $1000. I figured there must be a lot of work to fix.

He finished in half an hour and gave my tenant the bill. These guys base their charges on how desperate you are, if there's water all over you floor and drains leaking they have you over a barrel and will rob you.

If I was there in person, I never would have agreed to their ridiculous estimate. would never use them again.

Had economy plumbing come out a second time for a different issue (clogged shower drain) another 5 star experience with Henry. He used the power snake and after going about 20 foot into the drain a glob of Hair came out.

What's nice is they will come out and give a free estimate which many other plumbers will not do- and their prices are negotiable ! We came to a price we agreed on which was less than my home warranty or another company would charge just for a service call and he got the work done quickly . They also arrived within an hour of calling .

We had a leak in our dishwasher on a Sunday afternoon. We called that Sunday afternoon and they came out to our home about an hour later! Aris showed up at the door and he was super professional, courteous, and super quick in fixing the problem! Total cost was $175.

He was efficient, clean and very helpful. He fixed the problem and didn't suggest repairs that didn't need to be made.

I was frustrated, trying to find a plumber that could unblock our tub drain line, juggling work from home and kids that wanted to shower after a work out . Finally, against my better judgement, I went for the catch promotion in a local mailer, and called Economy to snake my drain.

First visit, Joseph, the technician, noted that not much had come out of my drain, but thought the line was unplugged. Oh, and that $49 catch special for clearing drains, wound up being a $145 charge for reasons that were never clear, so no bargain.

Especially not a bargain when I had to have Joseph visit again the next day because the tub was backed up again. It turned out there had been a miscommunication.

The tub drain stopper assembly was probably blocking the drain. I watched as Joseph tore apart the assembly in frustration, only to realize that he did not know how to fix it, now that the assembly was in pieces, he also realized, he could not find a replacement plate which would cover the hole, since he could not put the destroyed assembly back together.

Since Joseph was not very resourceful, I took two hours out of my work day, went to Cal-Steam to show them the parts and confirmed that this guy was, in the opinion of everyone at the counter - a complete bozo. They gave me the phone number for T-Kor, who sent out a crew of two, arrived in 10 minutes.

T-Kor somehow miraculously grafted a Kohler backing assembly (which they had on their truck, they did not have to go hunting for parts) onto my ancient large tub lever plate, and got this tub working perfectly again in 10 minutes flat. T-Kor is at 650-743-5363.

Accidentally broke off the threading to our house's front hose pipe trying to replace the leaky bibb on my own this morning, and knew I had to call in a service for resoldering before we could turn the main water valve to the house back on.

My call was received politely and professionally at about 2pm today. Service window was set for 3:30-4:30p.

I got a follow up call at 3p that the techincian was on his way. Joe arrived right on time at 3:30p, took a quick look, headed out for some parts, and had everything fixed, tested and working by 5p.

Oliver was great and friendly! Normally I won't review a business until I've had at least two interactions with them, but I think for emergency-plumbing needs we can agree that one is enough. I had a water shut-off valve go sideways in the guest bathroom and the hot water go out.(Yeah terrible luck) The toilet was running and the valve wouldn't fully shut off the water supply.

Older plumbing in this house built in the early 1900s(Victorian Home) So I checked Yelp and a couple other sources for recommendations on plumbers more local to my area. I couldn't see myself calling any of the plumbing contractors who advertise on the radio, and I was hoping a more local plumber who offered 24-hour emergency service would also be able to make the service call sooner.

The dispatcher(Michelle) who was very friendly willingly to assist me, immediately connected me to the on-call plumber (Albert) who talked through potential scenarios with me. He guided me through checking a number of common causes of leaks, and then, when we decided the tank probably needed replacing.

He was able to bring everything he needed with him after I texted him a photo(Tech Savy plumbers :]) of the water heater and did an inspection before beginning. Then he told me exactly how much it would be and wrote out an itemized list that I signed.

Albert, was fast, professional, and courteous. I'm glad I found Economy Plumbing on Yelp, because the total time from valve break and water heater to finished repair was under 2 hours.(Usually at least a 4 hour job altogether, WOW!).

I called in for a Kitchen Clog and I wanted to get this issue FIXED ASAP so I can watch my Giants! I spoke with the representative there, I believe her name was Michelle. She was really nice, and helpful and was able to get someone out to my office in less than an hour.

When the technician came -- Albert was so prompt and really accommodating. Since I work in the servicing industry, I appreciated the fact that he was courteous and willing to explain things to me.

They have a 48 dollar special online which we mentioned on the phone. Also, on Yelp they have a 52 dollar special.

Also they said they would do a free estimate.... No one showed up after 12 so we called.

They said they would call us back with an update, never did, so we called them again, they said 15 more minutes. When the plumber showed up he said it was 48 just to show up (what happened to the free estimate?) and 150 to fix the toilet (what happened to that promotion deal?)! We explained that we had mentioned special website price but he said no: 150 and the 48 show up fee.

The man was also incredibly rude. TERRIBLE.

I found a slow draining bathtub on a Saturday. I tried to snake it myself but my snake broke.

(I had a coupon for $48.88) the tech arrived before the time window. He snaked my tub, gave me some line about a clogged fill tube in the toilet in another bathroom and charged me $289.00! He put the stopper back in but left a mess in my bathroom.

I would not use this company again! I would not recommend them! Yesterday I had to call a plumber to come and install a faucet that I bought at a property I mange. I had called two plumbers before and gotten Ridiculous estimates.

I saw this coupons and the cover of the Yellow Pages saying 20% off, I thought "that's a good start.". I called Economy Plumbing and they said they would send someone within and hour and sure enough Thomas arrived on my door step.

I could not have asked for a more polite helpful plumber. He explained to me, in words I could understand what he was going to do and how long it would take and gave me and estimate I could afford.

I called Economy Plumbing Sewer and Drain, Daly City branch, hoping to find an honest plumber to fix my senior father's leaking shower faucet. The plumber arrived and assessed the situation.

He said that he had to pick up a part. He returned after an hour and a half, saying that the part that he needed, was a special order part, and he had to wait until Monday, because the part place that carried it, was closed.

He gave an estimate of around $650.00. In the meantime, the faucet was even leaking worse that it was before he got there, and he was going to let it leak until Monday, where alot of water would have been wasted, and make the next water bill very high.

I could not wait until Monday, so I called Economy and cancelled their services. I called another plumber, who came out immediately, and repaired it within a short period of time, saying that it was just a bad bushng.

The total bill was only $125.00. This Economy plumber was going to take advantage of my 88 year old father, and say that it was a bigger problem than it actually was.

On top of that, he knocked off one of the eyes for the garage door opener, and didn't replace it. We discovered that when the garage door would not function correctly.

I do not recommend the Daly City Economy Plumbing Sewer and Drain, because of this dishonest plumber that they sent out. Shame on him! I called on a Saturday night because of a major toilet blockage.

They couldn't send anyone until Sunday, but that was OK. Marc came out on schedule Sunday.

He was friendly, polite, and did a great job. The repair wasn't cheap, but Marc had to remove the toilet to get to the blockage.

And I didn't expect an inexpensive plumbing job from a weekend/emergency plumber. All told, if I need a plumber after hours again, I'll call Economy and request Marc.

Economy plumbing has snaked my drains twice now (snicker, always silly to say). Anyways, they have been available outside of normal business hours so it made scheduling this last appointment very easy.

I had some problem with water not draining for my toilet and bathtub. They came by a couple of weeks ago and were here for hours.

They charged me a lot of money. When they left, the water is still not draining properly.

I called them and they said they will come by and take a look but never shows up. These guys are fraud, they took my money and runaway.

If you ever get scammed by these guys and you paid with a credit card. Just file chargeback for fraud and get your money back.

Unfortunately, I paid in cash because they insist, which is a big red flag. Avoid them at all cost and look elsewhere! Macky was very nice and fast in resolving our plugged Toilette.

On top of that, one of the pipe connections came apart with water spilling out. My elderly mother spent back bending hours removing all the water which spilled onto her entire kitchen floor and into part of the dining room floor as well.

I had to call another pluming company to fix the problem. He found that the culprit was the very cheap very thin washer installed inside the pipes which helps keep the pipes and the metal ring tight so water stays withing the pipes, not out.

He had to install a real good quality washer. Before this added expense occurred recently, my mother had called this same company for an estimate on another related water pipe drain clogging project.

But found the word "Economy plumbing" a contradiction given its prices are not any lower than plumbing companies who do not advertise the company name with "economy". So she used another.

If Economy Plumbing can't even afford to install a durable rubber washer for the $1000. price paid them, then we expect other problems to occur later.

It is not likely we will recommend, nor use this company. Oftentimes, it is the little size problems that create bloated expense of repairing again.

I had a front yard water valve for the garden hose replaced as it was leaking water big time flooding our lawn water running down the street. After calling the guy claims he saw the problem that he would have to replace the valve..

He mentions about the galvanize pipe needing replacement. I know my roommate just wanted the water to stop leaking on a Sunday Night, The service/driver was Spencer who was punctual & polite.No Senior discount was the only minor thing for my roommate being over 60 years old yet otherwise everything went fine, problem promptly resolved.

No more water running down the street.. I had a hot water heater emergency and Macky came out and installed a new one the same day in only a few hours.

I do not think I will be using this company again. Although they did a fast job fixing unclogging a drain, the price was too high and according to the technician the specials announced on their website were all expired.

If they are expired they should not be on the website. The person who showed up at my house was very helpful and he had good intentions, but there is not much he can do when he has to deal with situations like these ones.

The person who runs the company should keep an eye on these little things to avoid annoying the company's clients. I wouldn't recommend this company.

They couldn't unclog the drain and he wanted to charge double the price than Ace Plumbing (who fixed it in 20 minutes) I think he was just inexperienced. He gets 2 stars because he was a nice kid, but I wouldn't use them again In the middle of a huge downpour, on a Sunday night, my garage roof started leaking onto all of my belongings.

What to do??? In my case, call Economy Plumbing! Nilo and Douglas came at 8 PM, did all that they could for several hours and found that a drainage pipe was obstructed. Early the next morning, still pouring, but with new pipes in hand, the job was done, professionally and courteously.

These guys are plumbing lifesavers! Hey. If you want to be ripped off and ignored when you ask basic questions, call these people! They refused to give me a price to come do a basic snake of my sewer line.

Clean easy access, 10 minutes and out. But no, only the plumber can do that.

They were early and in an unmarked van. I took the guy out back and asked him to snake the line.

He said he recommended pressure washing it instead. No reason given.

I asked how much it would cost. He ignored me and made a series of phone calls.

His compadre shows up with equipment as I am raising my voice demanding to know how much he would be charging me for this work while he tried to set up and get started. I block him and ask again.

He finally says it's $275 for the pressure wash. And how much to actually snake, I ask? $350.

I told them to get out of my house now. I am shocked.

But not surprised. I found my paperwork for Rooter Hero who will be doing it for $79 using an Internet coupon.

Know your prices and don't pay emergency prices for a set appointment especially when Rooter Hero is even coming by tonight! Don't use these guys. Plumber came to fix a leak from the shower.

Quotes me $1650 to tear into wall to replace shower handle thats leaking inside wall. Comes and does the work and charges me $1900.

$250 extra to repair cracks is fiberglass shower. My contractor comes to repair the drywall and notices NO WATER DAMAGE in my wall from the faucet.

My contractor shows me and says the water leak couldn't have come from the faucet. I ask the plumber to come back and help me understand why.

The plumber says there was a very tiny leak from the faucet and most of the leak came from cracks in the shower. I ask him to show me the water damage/evidence from the leaky faucet.

He said he couldn't. Somehow this leak didn't leave a trace.

Today we needed a plumber to snake out our drain in the backyard. Thomas came by and walked me through everything and helped me understand what was causing the problem.

He was incredibly helpful and polite and knowledgeable. He finished the job quickly and within the estimate.

Thanks, Thomas! Woke up Monday morning to a sewer line clog. I called at least four different places that weren't available until 4pm.

Thankfully I found Economy Plumbing, they were at my door within an hour of my call and even though it was a big job (digging up and replacing a broken pipe!) they completed it same day! I am so thankful for the Economy Plumbers right now, they are true heroes in my book! I can flush again! Yay!!! I should also mention that the Plumbers who did the job were super nice (don't remember their names). I am very disappointed with Lowe's Customer Service and with their Affiliation with AO Smith Water Heater and with Ecomony Plumbing.

My dad is 95 years old and had to replace his bathtub due to mobility issues. Mind it, we are not part of the 1%.

He had to replace his water heater with a 40 gallon to accommodate the tub. My daughter went on line and purchased a water heater from Lowe's, unaware that the models are for different installation types.

Anyway, the water heater was installed by Economy Plumbing. After installation the water heater pilot would go out every couple of days.

We called Lowe's who referred us to the manufacture A.O. Smith.

They arranged for someone to come out and replace the gas valve unit. The unit continued to go out every couple of days.

They then sent out someone to replace the burner unit. The unit continued to go out.

I then placed a call with them and they said that it may be a ventilation issue and to send them pictures. From the pictures it was then known that the incorrect unit had been purchased for our location.

I then called Lowes to ask if we can exchange the unit for a 50 gallon that would work with our side chimney flue and we would pay the difference. They said we would need to get an RA from AO Smith.

I called AO Smith and they refused to give an RA for anything except a defect that affects all of their equipment. Basically recall guidelines.

I then called Lowe's back since I had been told that this is a stock item and it was up to the store. Again, they say we need an RA from manufacturer.

The loop for an $800 ticket item is ridiculous. I could kind of understand if I said I wanted to return it and get my money back, but that was not the case.

I was then asked if I wanted to purchase another and set up an installation, when before I was told that they didn't do that. Are you kidding me.

After losing out on $800, plus installation charges. You've got to be joking.

Now the other culprit to this is Ecomony Plumbing who installed the unit. This person installed the unit, evidently without looking at the specs.

This unit should not have been installed. We should have been told that this is the incorrect water heater for our flue.

Beware!!!! These companies will take your money and leave you high and dry. Worst customer service and remedial options.
