I hired Rick for a toilet overflow at my home that I shared with my family. When I called he was there within 15 min.

He helped figure out , clean up and resolve a serious leak problem necessitating almost a new kitchen, involving my dishwasher, hot water heater, and EBMUD water pressure. I had thought the problem was resolved after the last 2 very damaging leaks, but the pressure release valve had been installed incorrectly.
He is really prompt, calls in and/or updates ETA's, photo documents what he's done. The best plumber I've met, and in the last few years I've worked with 6 other ones over the last few years due to this problem.
Some were good, but Rick is great. Last week my water pressure became very high.
So I called Rick on Thursday he came to check at same date. He replaced water main valve pressure regulator valve, expansion tank per my schedule Saturday the next next day.

Pleased with the service Seriously could not ask for a better experience!!! This guy is hands down one of the most reliable and quick responding people I have encountered in a long time. We had a clog somewhere in our drain line from the washer.
He was able to come out the same day and work on the problem. He used a smaller snake and it seemed to work.
But then realized the back up was still happening and used a longer snake. My washer now drains well again without poring out water all over my garage (really annoying to clean up).
However, he also took the time to just check what was up under the pipes and went I got he crawl space and checked all my pipes. Come to find out there are areas where the drain pipes are cracked and water is leaking out every time we run the water .
He took video and photos and sent them all to me. He was reasonable and price was appropriate for us.

Rick was referred to me by another heating specialist because he had expanded expertise with tankless water heaters and radiant floor heating. In no time, Rick and his team had (i) replaced a 50ish year old, 1970s Sears Roebuck dual wall heater furnace, (ii) serviced a tankless water heater that had been neglected on my part, and (iii) sourced a hard-to-find thermostat replacement for the radiant floor heat in our kitchen.
This was all done at very reasonable prices compared to other estimates I received. We had a slight issue with the new furnace where it kept switching off, but Rick and his team came out in the evenings and weekends to make sure the issues were diagnosed and addressed with the tenants.

Ricky was really sweet, kind and very efficient. He was fair on his prices and I'm happy I booked him for the job.

Charged 1600 for labor because he brought in 4 guys to do the job of 1, maybe 2, at least some of which was spent going to fetch materials. On top of that charged 700 for materials without providing receipts.
Very very bad experience for building customer trust. In the end the problem was fixed to my satisfaction but will not use again.
Would also actively discourage others from engaging Rick's services because he was not transparent about his pricing. Update: Just wanted to update and say another person contacted me to say they received similar treatment from Rick.
Don't not use this service I contacted 5 plumbers and at least three landscaping services and this was the only one that responded instantly. Rick showed up within 30 minutes and unlike other plumbers I've worked with, he didn't just come to access, he came to actually work on the problem.
Like a scientists he meticulously hunted for the leak. We had another plumber come by to access and he was completely wrong about where the leak was coming from.
Rick not only tracked it down but within an hour, a crew showed up and they attacked the leak like it was their purpose in life. I''ve never seen a crew take a job so seriously, they worked hard into the night.
I told them they could take off if it got too late for them but they kept on working until they completed phase 1 of the repair. I thought it was going to take a week to get the job done but they did it in two days! They cleaned up the site and treated the property better than I do.
Will use again for future jobs. I'll start this review with a three letter word, wow.
They did absolutely just that when it came to replacing my combination water heater/boiler that does the hot water for my shower and radiant heat it was not an easy installation but with their skill set they made it manageable And efficient with timing, scheduling, and completion of project. They left my house cleaner than when before they started.
Will definitely be using them for our future re-pipe of our domestic water system because there are sections of galvanized steel water pipes that aren't not good for our combination boiler and overall health. The water heater was his recommendation, and it's perfect for our needs. And the wall they opened was patched up and painted so it looks like nothing even happened.
The other jobs included replacing basket strainers and drainage piping on a 3-tub commercial kitchen sink, as well as a single tub sink. We worked out a schedule that worked for both of us and they got it all done on time, very accommodating group of workers.
My favorite thing is being on site to get all of Ricardo's insight and feedback and other observations, I love learning about how things work! I'll be contracting him for a couple more jobs coming up. 10 out of 10 would recommend! We just moved to our new home and with the giant rainstorm, we were surprised by the flooding on our yard and the water approaching our house.
We were able to remove some water ourselves but couldn't keep up with the pace. After making my way through plumbers, Rick answered and said he could be at our home within 45 minutes.
He arrived and did his best to help us pump out more water and when that didn't work, he made a trip to Home Depot for supplies to fix our drains. He was friendly and it was obvious he really wanted to help us.

(He even more than patiently put up with all the bureaucracy our home warranty people put us through which I wouldn't wish on anyone.) As for the plumbing project itself, he handled both the emergency job (so we had working plumbing that night) and the major repair (fixing the underlying issue which was a ticking time bomb for another likely far worse emergency) incredibly quickly and thoroughly.

I just bought a house, and the atmospheric river provided a great opportunity for me to learn that my sump pumps don't work. Sunday morning, I woke up to a flooded yard and water entering my laundry room and garage.
I called one plumber (who was advertising IN RICHMOND on Yelop who said they don't service Richmond, another who said there was nothing they could do until the rain stopped and they could come Monday morning. Rick called me back right away and said he'd be over in 20 minutes.
He pumped out the flood, cleared my drains, and left me with his sump pump all day and overnight (I would have flooded again without it). He's been dealing with my home warranty to get them to cover the replacement pump.

He is the kind of guy who took off his boots without me even asking. Ricky spent almost an hour with me trying to problem solve how to move a fridge water line to the other side of the kitchen at my house, but due to old funky construction it was going to be quite a complicated job.
He always recommended the right way to do things and didn't recommend short cuts. He also was honest that the work was significant if we hadn't 100% set on keeping the fridge where it is it may be better to hold off on the work.
Again we didn't end up doing with with him but his professionalism was one of the best I have seen and will definitely call you again for upcoming plumbing needs. Rick responded to the early morning call and was out to our place in Richmond by 1pm. Returned within the hour with his crew, found the leak on the water main (fortunately they did not have to dig too far down into the saturated ground), repaired the leak, repaired a toilet, installed a recirculation pump - all by that evening.
We were so happy with the work we had Rick come back to install a pressure relief valve and an expansion tank. Quality work and definitely would use again.
