So they not only replaced the hot water heater, they made major improvements. They anchored and braced it properly, installed the correct pressure valve and routed it to an outside hose bib, and installed a drain pan where I can place a leak monitor.

They basically brought us into the 21st century and their pricing was very fair. They're a small, family operation, so you have to have patience and flexibly when working with them.

If an emergency comes up, you might be rescheduled. But guess what--when you have an emergency, they will be there for you.

Regardless, your patience will be richly rewarded with best-in-class plumbing at prices you can feel good about. I love that they are a family operation and not some big company that bills at big prices and sends out rando dudes with cheap parts and cheap brands that won't last.

And that reminds me--I'm impressed with the quality of the parts and brands VRG Plumbing uses. They don't cut corners.

I cannot say enough good things about Victor and Victor Jr, his son. I have now used their services a few times and every time, they excel.

Two days ago our on-demand water heater died. Victor came right over and by the end of the day, yesterday, he installed a new (and more efficient) water heater.

Victor is very responsive and makes himself immediately available when we have an emergency. He is very friendly, reasonable, and super professional.

He's definitely my guy! We were painting and removed a pedestal sink in the bathroom to get access to the wall. We turned the water off and when we removed the angle stops we realized the threads of both the hot and cold water supply pipes were rusted out.

There was no way to get the new angle stops on so we had to keep the water main completely off. This was an unexpected nightmare and it was time to call a plumber.

I immediately looked at Yelp and jotted down a few local plumbers. I called VRG and spoke to Victor, who answered right away.

He was very receptive and asked some questions and told me to text him some photos, which I did at 2:31 pm. He said he would see if he could come by in a couple of hours.

At 3:28 pm he texted me that he was on his way. He arrived quickly with his son, looked at the rusted pipe threads, explained the options, and clarified the risks of trying to remove the two inch stubs which included possibly breaking the pipes because they were so rusted.

If the pipes broke, we would have to open up the wainscotting wall. I agreed to have Victor try to remove the stubs.

He carefully and quickly removed the two stubs without any issues. Victor and his son were able to obtain the replacement stubs at a nearby hardware store, installed them, and put on the angle stops.

We chatted a bit about possible bathroom remodel options and Victor gave me some great tips on replacement toilets. Victor and his son left at about 4:20 pm.

Amazingly, we had our water back in under 1 hour. Excellent customer service, friendly, professional, focused and courteous.

I had a major clog in my kitchen drain and drano didn't work. VRG responded quickly and scheduled a next day appointment.

Victor was 40 minutes late, so had to send somebody to finish the job the following day, but they did a very thorough job by replacing the pipes l, drain, and snaking. Victor also informed me that I was missing a P-trap and he explained the importance of a P trap.

I appreciate his thoughtfulness. His son did not wear a mask in my house, but I did not set the boundary of asking for him to wear the mask, so I do take some responsibility.

Next time I will ask. I also had ask to get a receipt a few times so that I can get reimbursed by my landlord.

Giving a rating of 3 stars because I was told a price which I assumed to be a flat rate but ended up per hour which I came to understand when time to pay up 1.5 hrs later. Pretty important detail imo especially when you're trying to pay in cash.

I chose VRG because the price I was quoted was significantly less than all the other businesses I was in communication with. In the end I paid close to the same cost as the other quotes so I did not receive the savings benefit I had hoped for.

We immediately set up an appointment and he came out to diagnose all of my problems and answer all the questions that I had about plumbing. We had just bought a home and he helped to clarify many of the questions we had about the home inspection that was done and their recommendations for repairs.

Victor said he'd come by to clean it out but was in San Francisco and would come over to our north Oakand house afterwards. He later called to say it would be six before he could be over and then called from on the road to say traffic congestion was delaying him.

He arrived around 645PM and after running the snake about 25 feet in , his machine broke a key part. We thought we'd be without toilets for Thanksgiving, But Victor did no give up.

He went to Home Depot to rent a machine and completed the job by 9PM. Service beyond the call of duty.

Victor and his team are amazing. His team was pretty busy so I thought I would use another plumber for my rough work, that didn't work out so great.

Once VRG was available they fixed all the issues from the other plumbers. They also had creative ideas on how to customize some of my faucets for a more perfect fit.

They are really quick when they get there and their pricing was very reasonable. If you have faucets/plumping that needs to look amazing and work great, VRG is the place to go.

We had an emergency pipe blasting water in our upstairs, and Victor came within 15 minutes to save us from emptying buckets and swamping all the electric downstairs. He needed a part and tried to get it, but since it was 9 at night everything was closed, so he figured it out and soldered some stuff together to fix our problem.

An emergency, a holiday, and still the price was totally reasonable. We later had him do some other stuff, also complicated and we were worried because you know how it usually goes, but he finished the day of quick and clean.

Recommended. I'd used this company once before years ago to clear some bathtub drains in an apartment building and was satisfied with the work.

However, on the latest job, the technician (Mario), working from inside the apartment unit, could not clear the bathtub drain. One option Mario provided is to drill a hole in another part of the drain pipe and put a snake into that hole; but, he says there's no guarantee that it'll work.

I mentioned to him that on the previous job, a technician (Ray) had to clear the drains via the vent pipe protruding on the rooftop. But according to Mario, working from the rooftop is against company policy due to liability issues.

I opted not to drill a hole in another section of the drain pipe. So, I ended up paying $330 without any resolution.

Ben was amazing! cleared out our drains in a jiffy. I had an issue with our main line to the street line, caused by the construction in our neighborhood.

After going on Yelp and sending out a note to several plumbing companies, we went with Precision Rooter because they were responsive and offered a competitive quote. I know there's always apprehension about choosing a company to perform emergency services like plumbing, but I guarantee you can't go wrong with these guys.

It was easy to schedule an appointment and Ray came by on time and was very easy to work with. I had an issue with popping open the metal covering in my drain in front of our garage (it was full of dirt and grass was growing from it) because I hadn't been able to get it open.

Ray offered to look into it for me and he was actually able to open it with some tools he had. How many places would try to charge you an extra arm and a leg for that? I was so happy once he was able to do it and I told him I could clean it out while he worked on hydro jetting my pipe.

Unfortunately I paid them and they were unable to unclog the drain with a snake and left after 40 minutes without solving the problem. My handyman (who was unavailable before) came with his snake and unclogged it in one hour.

What happened? Mario came to snake my clogged drain pipe. He was very nice and friendly and stated that it would be one hour charge if there were no complications.

He tried but was unable to unclog the drain with a snake from the drain opening. He then explained there would be a $50 additional charge for him to drill a hole inside another part of the drain pipe and I agreed.

After drilling a hole and snaking he said there was too much mud in the pipe and he could only hydrojet for an additional charge of $1000 or I should have someone else replace the pipe. So basically I spent $375 with no resolution.

As my wife was draining the tub, water started coming out of the base on the toilet. The bathroom was partially flooded before we plugged the tub.

I messaged Precision that night, they got back to me with a prelim quote. Next day, I called to make an appt, they showed up the same day.

I also had 2 other plumbing companies visit to provide estimates. One was very similar in price (and the owner followed up and was very diligent for the business) and the other was quite higher, but all were very prompt and professional.

I had a clogged toilet in our basement bathroom, being in the bottom unit in our condo building, which was possibly caused by a clogged sewer lateral in our building, as suggested by a previous handyman. The plumbing job was to both unclog the toilet and to hydro flush the sewer lateral.

I tried using a manual toilet auger on our toilet first, but that didn't work, so a plumber was needed. Precision came on time with Raymond and his assistant.

Both were very professional and hard working. Raymond started with the hydro flush first, finding all 5 cleanout ports for our sewer in the building (2 more than I had noticed), and flushed all those plus the cleanout on the outside sidewalk.

He also tried snaking our toilet using a similar manual toilet auger, and with a little plunger work, cleared the toilet, without needing to remove it. (It was a brand new toilet from Home Depot we just installed 1 month earlier.) He charged me for the hydro flush job, and didn't charge me for the toilet unclogging (estimate showed a few hundred for that, 2 prices for keeping toilet on, or for removing toilet first), as that part turned out to be very quick and simple.

An overdue review. Woke up on a Sunday morning with multiple leak notifications so my husband had to shut off the main water outside the house.

I called and a gentleman picked up, he was able to send someone out to take a look for no cost with same day service (keep in mind, this happened to be on a Sunday.) Shortly after, the assigned plumber, Gil called and was able to stop by the house within the hour. We explained the situation and he ran some diagnostics to figure out the exact location of the leak.

Ultimately, he informed us that the entire water line from the main water meter to the house needs to be replaced from PVC to copper. He quoted us a price (labor and materials included) and it was fair, considering the cost of copper is high and this happened on a weekend.

We agreed to have him perform the work and he started the job immediately. To make the process as efficient as possible, he also reached out to another plumber to help with the job.

They had to dig a big trench to get to the old water line in order to replace it with a copper line. The digging took awhile, they started the job at around 1 pm on Sunday, worked till 5:30 pm that day.

Gil and his colleague returned on Monday at around 9 am and continued the digging. They were done at 1 pm with the job.

Over 30 feet of the water line was replaced. Both plumbers finished the job as quickly as possible and left our front yard spotless.
