My sprinkler value had a leak and we had flooding from the lawn onto the street. I called Drain Mob and even though Drain Mob could not perform the service for my area, the manager Billy spent almost 2 hours helping me look for someone who could help and service my area.
I appreciated this because it was almost impossible to find someone to fix an irrigation issue at 8 am on a Saturday. Most other businesses were closed, did not service my area, did not perform the type of service needed, or simply were booked.
Even though I was able to find a different technician, Billy told me that he would still have his technician on stand by if I needed it and helped guide me through the process so I would not get up charged. YOU WILL WANT TO READ THIS REVIEW!! First of all, as a relatively new homeowner of a 75-year-old home with mostly original plumbing, I have finally found my GO-TO plumber. Let me just say I am beyond relieved that I found Drain Mob.
They literally saved me $7500, no joke. The company I had out first told me I needed new in/out clean-outs, pipes, and a hydrojet cleaning.
I had no reason not to believe him at first because one, this is an old house, and two, he seemed honest. HOWEVER, something made me go and get ONE MORE opinion.
Rob came out and checked everything out. Then he asked to see the toilet (the problem was there was not a strong flush; nothing was backing up or anything) -- and he quickly diagnosed something the first plumber would have never found bc he didn't even ask to see the toilet --- hard calcium deposits inside the siphon jets! He pulled out chunks and then advised me to get some muriatic acid and dissolve the rest, which I did, and my toilet is now back to full flushing! He also said that my in/out clean-outs were fine and did not need to be replaced.
Total cost was only a $125 house call! I am blown away by his honesty, because I was ready to believe anything. I was THISCLOSE to having to get a home loan to pay that original $7500 the other plumbers wanted.
And get this: Even if I had paid that other company the $7500, it STILL would NOT have fixed my issue because the hard calcium deposits would NOT have been addressed. Imagine how I'd feel after paying that and not having the problem solved yet! Now, I'm sure that I may eventually have to address that old clay pipe that goes to the main -- maybe I'll outlive that happening, who knows ? - LOL.
BUT if and when that happens or if I get a backup or need a hydrojet cleaning, who do you think I will be calling? You got that right -- DRAIN MOB. THANK YOU, ROB AND DRAIN MOB!!! Knowing that I at least have an honest and reliable plumber/sewer line specialist on my call list is such a big relief.
They were referred to us by a plumber we used, since he did not have the equipment and upgraded service that he can provide us, which included hydro jet and better cameras that can look deeper into possible other issues. They came right away and in less than 5 minutes knew what would help our drainage issue.
And was done in less than an hour. On top of that? He gave me some lessons on what to do weekly to keep our drains and old pipes open and what to never ever put down thru garbage disposal and drain and why it is so bad for it and causes clogs.

Hank arrived the same day, in fact, he called to see if he could come 2 hours earlier than promised! Wow, I was thrilled. It took quite a bit of time to get to the source of the backup and Hank was eager to try all the methods available.

We had been using our home warranty for the repair twice. This have never happened before...
First when the storm was happening late January, we drained the bathtub which led to water rising in our shower and water seeping on the side of the toilet. It took about 40 mins before it all started gurgling and it all drained.
The plumber from the home warranty came out and since there were no issues he could see, he concluded that there was probably a backup from the city that caused the sewer valve to close. Two months later, two of the toilets downstairs weren't flushing all the way.
The home warranty sent their plumbers and they said that it was toilet paper that was causing the valve to close. They recommended to not use toilet paper or to use less of it.
That didn't seem to be an acceptable answer for us unless we install a bidet. The warranty company said that they may cover it if we have someone else come out and they give a different resolution.
We called Drain Mod and they came out the next day. They looked at the sewer line and said it's about to back up again.
We all agreed to remove the sewer flap/valve. We requested them to run the camera down the line to make sure it's not something else blocking the line.
They waited patiently while I called the warranty company since they said they wanted to speak to the plumbers while they were there. (The refused to cover the fix but that's whole other story.) Overall, we were happy with the service we received from Drain Mod and would use them again.

Technician honestly told us which drains were clogged so that we didn't pay to flush drains unnecessarily. Costs were super reasonable! They did what they said they came here to do, which was clean the rain gutters (the ones that are underground and go to the street).
Only, when I tested it, the water took forever to flow. I called my general contractor/handyman and he found soooo many roots, like sooooo many, fully clogged pipes..
When I initially called this place the representative said they would pressure wash inside the downspouts (came to find out that they don't do that once the actual workers came), and the representative said that the power wash can break up most roots, which again, was simply not true. When 2 of the 3 toilets in the household stopped flushing, I needed to get a plumber to help - pronto! But when I called the one we used 2 years ago, they said no one could come out until the next day. We found Drain Mob thanks to Yelp and they dispatched a technician to our place within a 3-hour window (North Escondido area).
The plumber (Brian or Ryan?) showed up at the beginning of the 3-hour window estimate (pleasant surprise!) and got to work. We explained the situation - he checked the main line outside the house and after ruling out a few things, cleared both toilets.
He was competent and in & out in a short amount of time. It seems like plumbing always ends up being an "emergency" situation, and we are so glad to have found a trusty company to add to our speed-dial, for whenever the next time we need them! I don't really know how to review this place- great customer service, were able to get me in quickly, nice technician.
I just feel $175 for hair removal that took all of 3-5 minutes, is excessive. I was in need of their services and paid the price.
But, that is a steep, in my opinion. I called Drain Mob to fix a leak (that would start when I turned the valve on) and a clog, caused by my kid throwing something down the toilet.
I didn't know beforehand that these guys are not licensed plumbers , just "drain guys". The technician came to my house to fix the problem while I was at work (around 8:20am).
My wife let him in to do the work. When I got home (around 5pm), I noticed water damage and leaking in the ceiling.
The technician left with AN ACTIVE LEAK! He did not call to tell me that there was leaking, nor did he turn off the main. There was evidence that he placed paper towels down then left.
When speaking to his supervisor about the incident, he refused to accept any responsibility, and said I had originally called in about a leak, so therefore I caused the leak. Furthermore , he continued to gaslight me and blame me for the leak and "faulty hardware".
I had to have a real licensed plumber come out at night to stop the leak. The professional said the fittings were not properly reattached, and it looked as if some "bumped" or "knocked" the attachment at the valve hard enough to cause it to continue to leak, even when turned off.
This business never admitted their mistake, blamed me, and the supervisor was rude. They are dishonorable and unprofessional.
My advice is take your business to a reputable, honorable, licensed company instead safe the heartache of water damage. (I have video showing the steady leak but I can't post on Yelp for whatever reason) Both kitchen sinks backed up after using the dishwasher and these sinks have been a growing issue since moving in.
The building I live in have a very well known sharp turn of a pipe that is a challenge for many snakes to get through but Drain Mob was patient and were able to help clear the clog and also clean the mess in the pipes left behind by the previous owners. Their first technician couldn't get through it and so they sent a second tech the next day that was able to clear it.
It took about 3 plumbers to fix this kitchen pipe issue as I hired someone else previously who ended up not having the experience and was trying to suggest cutting a hole into my wall to get to the clog. We had holes in our sewer line and he fixed it with a liner for a great deal and comes with warranty. So glad we can use bathroom again!! Yeah! Let me apologize up front for the long read, but I think this story deserves to be told.
Technician Joey from Drain Mob was recommended to me by name by another plumber, who wasn't available to respond to our backed-up kitchen sink drain. I had tried to snake the clear-out blockage myself and followed up by using a new, medium-size Husky water bladder from Home Depot to clear away remaining blockage.
I attached the bladder to our garden hose, inserted it deeply into the clear-out, and slowly turned on the water. The bladder inflated and proceeded to fill the pipe downstream with water.
It then went quiet--not a good sign. The pipe was now under pressure.
Thankfully, there was no backflow into my kitchen--the bladder was doing its job. I turned off the water to the bladder and waited a few minutes, then tried again.
This time, the drain filled up and went quiet as before, but only momentarily. What I heard next was a swoosh sound and rushing water, hinting that the bladder pressure had punched through the blockage, clearing the drain--I only wish.
After "flushing" the drain a little longer, the water was shut off and the hose and bladder were retrieved from the clear-out. To my surprise, the hose came up without a bladder attached! Yikes.
It had completely severed from the threaded end, and was now hopelessly lost down my drain! I tried the snake again in an attempt to spear the bladder, but with no luck. Time to call the professionals.
Enter Joey. Drain Mob's receptionist indicated that Joey was already on another job, but she would contact him to see if he could fit me in--we had a dinner party that evening.
Half an hour later, I got a call back that Joey would be over in the next couple hours. He arrived and I explained my problem and the bladder mishap.
We discussed billing and I gave him the green light. He grabbed his gear and got to work.
His plan was to try to snake the bladder through to the main drain rather than retrieving it. Once confident he had reached the blockage and punched through, he retrieved the snake in preparation to scope the drain and hydro-jet the bladder the rest of the way to the street.
When the end of the snake reappeared, low and behold, the rubber bladder had nicely gloved itself over the end of the snake. Jedi Joey had speared the bladder's opening with the snake tip and it had stayed together until pulled from the drain.
Amazing! The pictures tell the story! Joey continued to hydro-jet and scope the clear-out until is was clean, and then continued jetting the main line from outside the house toward the street to remove remaining sludge. I couldn't have been more pleased with Joey's work and the entire experience given how things started with the bladder.
Our clear-out is located on a kitchen island which apparently adds additional risk of flood damage when hydro-jetting, should things go sideways. Joey indicated that many plumbers won't even risk hydro-jetting a kitchen island clear-out.
In summary, hiring a professional plumber is rarely inexpensive or convenient. But if it becomes necessary, it's nice to come away with a great experience and an interesting story to tell.
That couldn't have been more true for me. Drain Mob gave us same-day, over-the-top service, and professionalism from an experienced technician who also happened to have mad skills.

He is very professional and knowledgeable about sewer line repairs. Drain Mob uses an epoxy-felt sleeve of substantial thickness to line a cast iron vent pipe communicating with the main sewer line below the slab.
This type of durable lining allows subsequent clearing of the line with rotor rooter techniques or water jetting. Not all linings are strong enough to tolerate these maintenance procedures.
The lining is guaranteed for 20 years, with a life expectancy of 50-60 years. I plan to line the entire main sewer line under the slab with the same technique next month.

Luckily, I found the good people at Drain Mob. I was able to easily set an appointment for a date and the technician Kyle communicated with me his ETA as he finished up his earlier appointment.
Once he arrived he explained the entire process to me; how storm drains have essentially no building code and issues he could run into which could be problematic. He also clearly described their hourly billing model and then he started to work.
He finished up within an hour and showed me all of the gunk and roots he was able to extricate and also provides guidance on how to properly dispose of it so it doesn't just end back in the drain. The "atmospheric river" of rain we received this put his work to the test and thankfully all is well again.

Where do I even begin? This is going to be a long review but worth the read! Short version in case your toilet is overflowing and you need to find a plumbing company fast... 1) 200% yes, give this company your business because they have trustworthy, experienced, educated plumbers who aren't scamming home owners into doing unnecessary jobs.
2) Ryan is the MVP (most valuable plumber haha!) and should get some type of bonus or something for being such a good employee but also just a solid human. I had a very stressful day and had 2 different plumbing companies at my house prior to Drain Mob sending me Ryan.
And truth be told, Drain Mob was supposed to be cancelled as I thought the 2nd company that came out gave me a solution to my plumbing problem so was no longer needing Drain Mob's hydrojetting services... I was told that I had a collapsed pipe and it needed to be replaced so hydrojetting wasn't even an option for Ryan to do.
Since Ryan was already at my house, I explained what happened and what that other company told me about my pipe. Much to my surprise, Ryan didn't agree with what the other company said was wrong with my plumbing based on my story and descriptions of what I saw on the camera.
I was so over everything, and really didn't want to have to pay a 3rd plumber and overwhelmed with the thought that I was lied to by that other company. And I'm sure that Ryan could see that on my face because Ryan took the time to really explain why what I said made him believe that the pipe wasn't collapsed and that it was just a clogged pipe and hydrojetting could solve the issue for much cheaper and without having to tear up my driveway to replace the pipes.
He felt so confident about it that he was able to say that he was 95% it wasn't a collapsed pipe and wanted to put his camera down into my drain and look around. He was so confident and sure of it that I couldn't say no.
Ryan quickly gathered his tools AND BOOM THERE WAS NO COLLAPSED PIPE! Just a bad clog. Yet this other company tried to scam me into paying $3200 for this collapse pipe that needed to be fixed.
He could've just walked away after I told him I already had another company. He could've just said "they are quoting you $3200, we'll do it for $2900".
But instead he realized I was someone who didn't know shit about plumbing and was stressed to the max about the whole thing and decided to just be a good human and help me out. By doing that, you gain a forever customer because he proved that your company hires plumbers that are trustworthy.
Ryan literally saved me from getting scammed out of $3200 worth of unnecessary work! I can not thank him enough. Next time I need work done, I will be contacting this company and requesting Ryan again.
