The total job included a lot of service requests but we were able to schedule an appointment with him quickly and he completed them all in one day, on a Friday. He explained the issues we had and gave us tips on how to avoid some of the wear and tear that our old stop valves had.

responded to my automated Yelp request for an estimate with a "$1750 flat rate", significantly cheaper than other responses. When I provided more details (need an expansion tank to get up to code), the quote went up to $2075.75 "out the door".
Again, this was much less than other quotes. I realize that quotes can change due to specific job-by-job details, but I felt confident that I'd been thorough in the requirements and wouldn't be surprised.

We live in Lake Arrowhead but our daughter is renting my parents old home from us in Escondido.The house was built in 1971 so it had plenty of dated plumbing.What started out as a leaky shower faucet in the guest bathroom turned into about 4k worth of repairs.Pure Plumbing was the only oufit of 4 or 5 called that offered to send someone out to take a look,everyone else just texted an estimate after seeing some pics.Their price was the lowest and the repair was made that next day when they came out to give an estimate.I told their technician Bryan of other plumbing concerns in the house which he investigated.After speaking with him on the phone he sent lots of pics of the potential work to be done.A detailed estimate was quickly sent out so I contacted their office to schedule the job and talk over the costs.Pure Plumbing has a few different options as far discounts go,so work your best deal!Bryan returned to finish this extra work and again supplied us with plenty of before and after pics to show exactly what was needed and what was done.Bryan was always on time,courteous and hard working.Our daughter was very happy with Bryan and the work he had done.We would use Pure Plumbing again in the future and highly recommend. Problem is, once it died on a Sunday night, I realized I was without hot water until I could get it replaced. JD was able to come in the next day, do a comprehensive assessment, and give me 4 different options for top of the line Navien tankless water heaters to fit both my situation and budget.
He was friendly, professional, and very prompt. His prices were better than other quotes I got for lower rated models.
Plus he was able to do a gas line extension project I had been putting off for a while. Many plumbers didn't even offer gas work.
It took about 48 hrs to go from first contact to endless hot running water. Bottom line: if you need any kind of plumbing work done, especially in North County, you should give Pure Plumbing a call.

BEWARE. For replacement of valves connected to the main water line, California Regulations require that plumbers must obtain a Permit from local City Council BEFORE any job is started.
John from Pure Plumbing has replaced 3 valves in my house over the years without obtaining such Permits. In the last instance, he did obtain the Permit AFTER the installation.
This was only after I heard of this Regulation from an Inspector sent by Carlsbad City Council. So I reported this matter to Contractors State License Board (CSLB).
Apparently CSLB has a two-step procedure for such violations, the second one is obviously more severe. Getting a Permit requires two visits (one before and one after) to complete the job.
John avoided this hassle by completing the jobs on arrival thus saving another visit and cost of the Permit. If Yelp allowed, I would have given negative stars instead of one.

On Christmas eve, I found out the main water supply line to my home had a pin hole leak. Fortunately, the city placed a compression fitting on the pipe to get us through Christmas weekend.
I texted PP on Christmas eve and the response was quick and welcomed. They would be out on Monday to repair the pipe and YES they were on time and did a great job.
The second time I needed them is a bit unusual. PP installed a new water heater in Nov.
About a month later, I noticed we had no hot water. Hmmmm, very strange.
The pilot light had gone out so I relit. Then a week later it went out again.
I contacted PP and Jonathan came out to replace the master control valve and pilot light assembly (warranty work). Great all fixed.
Nope! It went out again several more times in the next couple of weeks. PP came out again, did trouble shooting on the pilot light thermopile and found it was malfunctioning.
They replaced the thermopile and the heater is working as expected. PP contacted the water heater company to manage the warranty issues, obtain replacement parts and made the repairs quickly and professionally.
