Review and analyze now for company Gibson Plumbing and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''I have worked with this company many times and at different property locations and they have always been thorough, honest, and reliable. I'm not sure why they gave low reviews because they have been the best and plumbing company I have hired.
Reasonable prices and professional. Absolutely amazing! We woke up to a water leak in our front yard on a Sunday.
We called around to inquire about fixing it, but all we got was that they were closed or quoted us an insane amount to fix it. Until we decided to see about the warranty that came with our home.
We called and had to leave a message, a few minutes later Gibson Plumbing told us they were sending someone. A gentleman by the name of Art arrived, fixed the issue and knocked on our door to say everything was done and our water was back on! Great service!! So glad we have them as our plumbing company.
I called Gibson plumbing almost a year ago, they were supposed to cover plumbing for a year under warranty but the issue has not been resolved and they did absolutely nothing during this year or tried to avoid the issue. Months ago, I called Gibson plumbing to fix a leak that has been their responsibility at the end of our driveway, it had been consistently leaking, and all they did was "fix a valve", well, the leak stopped for a little bit and I called Gibson again once the leak started to reappear after a month or so, to which they came by, "fixed" the issue again and left a note on my door saying "I fixed the leak at the water meter, the actual leak is coming from SAWS so you will need to contact them".
Well, I contacted SAWS, they looked at the issue and stated it's an "owners leak". Gibson is blaming SAWS, SAWS has been blaming Gibson, and it's been back and forth since I closed on my house, and the issue has not been solved since.
Now the leak is so bad that it looks like a miniature pool at the end of my drive way. I got desperate so I contacted another company since I have lost any sort of trust with Gibson, and they are quoting me $2000 to fix a PVR and Shut off valve + digging up my front yard..
this, according to the new plumber I hired, he said that this is a HOME OWNERS PLUMBING ISSUE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED THROUGH MY WARRANTY WHEN IT WAS FIRST DISCOVERED. Gibson was constantly blaming SAWS because they did not want to take on the responsibility.
I have uploaded a picture of Gibson saying it was SAWS, but here is the quote from another company I got not long after, and Gibson proceeded to wait until my warranty was over so they did not need to come and dig the area to search for the leak. The entire side had to be dug up and fix a Pressure valve, and the plumber said the leak was so bad that it was shooting out onto the street while he was fixing it.
I called Gibson maybe 1 month after my warranty expired and they wanted to charge me $150 to "diagnose" the issue, when SAWS diagnosed it as an owners leak much before my warranty expired. Please do not use Gibson plumbing - or for any new home owners, if they blame SAWS, make sure Gibson digs up the area and does a full inspection so they will not lie to any more people.
I live in a new home and they are doing work here in wylie. They have no respect of the people living here.
The run stop signs blocking the road when they see you coming. Safety of other when driving a company truck should be your first priority.
No regard for anyone. The staff members are incompetent and did not get the job done on time or properly.
They were slow and did not follow clear instructions. There is a lack of urgency and documentation controls in place.
The schedulers need to be let go and replaced with better and newer ones. I called Gibson Plumbing this morning and they sent Daniel out this afternoon.
Daniel was knowledgeable and professional and let me know my issue was with my sprinkler system and not my plumbing. He still took the time to turn off my sprinkler system so that it wouldn't leak.
If I have any other plumbing issues I will certainly call Gibson and specifically request Daniel. Follow up to my previous review.
Gibson contacted me after writing my first review. They offered me 1/2 of the bill I paid for a competent contractor to come out and fix their faulty installation! I guess, in their minds, I'm 1/2 responsible for their crews crappy service install.
I am writing to let y'all know whenever dealing with this contract, get names, dates, times and record your conversation with them. We called them out awhile back when trying to install a new dishwasher that was having some installation issues and they were able to get the new one installed quickly and for a fair price.
Had them out today to do sink repair and they were efficient and also looked at another minor issue. They were professional, fairly priced, responded quickly and pleasant to chat with.
I will recommend them to neighbors in the future if asked. They will screw your house up, make a mess and leave it a mess.
They tech that came to my House was apparently in the need of life lessons as a child. You make a mess, you clean it up.
You break something then fix it. If you can't fix it then bring it to my attention and find someone that can.
When coming to a scheduled call knowing the issue, bring the proper equipment so you don't have to schedule another day and inconvenience the home owner with your incompetence. This company gives the stupidity of a plumber stereotype truth.
I will be fighting with the builder so that they lose their contract bc I don't need another tech like that in my house. These guys were very professional and nice.
They arrived during they appointment window. They investigated the source of the smell in my bathroom and gave me some tips as it wasn't currently smelling.
Gibson plumbing installed the plumbing in our new McMillin home. We have had 5 major leaks in as many years.
Also, numerous plumbers have told us about poor installation and sometimes missing required code installation whilst repairing these leaks. Gibson is unresponsive and does not care about the home owner.
We are thousands of dollars in repair costs and stuck with their shoddy work. Insist your builder not use Gibson! If you purchase a home and the builder uses Gibson Plumbing for warranty, run away and do not purchase the home.
Gibson doesn't answer their emergency calls or call back and they don't back their warranty. Any other plumbing company is better than them and worth paying for.
They have been awful since the beginning- they did not tie our sewer line into the main sewer line so three days after buying the house the sewage was backing into our house!! Toilet was bolted down too tight and cracked and flooded our house! Same toilet leaked again! And now under our sink is leaking and they tell me I have to pay a 250 dollar service fee!!! Obviously they can't do their job correctly so will never use again or buy a house that they have touched!!!! Avoid this company! Avoid this company! I probably shouldn't even call them a company. They would not honor my 2 year warranty even though my claim was within 2 years of the installation.
The main person I talked to in the office was Susanna Delgado and she was by far the worst customer service person I've talked to in years. She was rude and inconsiderate.
Please notice she has left a google review giving this company one if its few 5 star ratings. She is obviously bias so you should disregard that review.
I haven't had hot water for over a week and she had no urgency to fix it. She sent a service rep out and he couldn't fix it.
After they tried and failed she said "it's out of our hands". Umm hello you are the company that installed it and it's been less than two years so I have a contractual warranty and you're a plumber so how can you not fix it? I'm going to cut my losses and move on and never talk to these people again.
I'm looking forward to use a plumber who cares at least a little bit about other people! Please stay away from this company! Zero stars! I forgot to mention they improperly installed the unit when building the house so they can't even do their job right! They straight up left out a part that is required to keep the unit dry so water got into the unit and ruined it. I even read the manufacturer's user guide and it explicitly says this part is required upon installation otherwise it is improperly installed.
Gibson Plumbing came out to fix a backup that I already informed them that I had already snaked 75 ft and couldn't reach. They showed up with a 75 ft machine and couldn't reach it.
They had to reschedule for next day with a longer snake. The machine wouldn't fit in pipe so they cut a hole in my sheet rock the cut out a section of pipe, still couldn't get snake in larger pipe.
They stated they didn't know what else to do and left! They left the section of pipe cut out and hole in wall! I had to take 2 days off of work for this service? I called Lex's plumping at 469-605-2449 and within 30 minutes of arriving he had blockage cleared and fixed the pipe that Gibson Plumbing cut out! Gibson was awful and Lex's rocked! Hired Gibson Plumbing to replace my hot water heater vent pipe after it was damaged by a roofing company that installed my new roof. I provided them with pictures showing the part numbers of the vent pipes.
They came out and verified what needed to be ordered, then returned weeks later with the parts. The owner told me that his company does not flash and seal the pipe where it goes through the roof.
This surprised me. The plumber who originally installed the hot water heater flashed and sealed the roof after he installed the water heater and vent pipe.
Nevertheless, I was prepared to call my roofer and have them come back after the install, to flash and seal the roof. When the installers came with the parts (all three of them) on December 29th, my roofer was out of town for the holidays and it was supposed to rain the next day.
I was curious as to why they don't flash and seal the roof like other plumbers do, so, I asked them. They had no answer.
They went outside and called the owner. They came back in, took the parts and left.
I never heard back from them. The one star rating I'm giving is only because this system won't accept zero stars.
Don't ever use this company they installed my water heater completely backwards. Hot to cold cold to hot.
Almost ruined my water heater. As pervious reviews people said about this company, totally agree with them.
do not call this company for any services. This company people are rude and customer service rep.
The quality of their work is poor. Gibson does not care about their work.
I am planning to buy new home then I find out Gibson Plumbing company did plumbing in the new home. I refused the deal.
They were who my builder had install the plumbing 2 yrs ago. My pressure regulator valve went out 2 yrs and 1 month after install (1 month after the 2 yr warranty expired).
So I called them to see what they could do. They said that they could send a tech out that morning since they were on a job nearby.
6 hrs and 2 additional phone calls later they finally showed up. Even though the part failed, they didn't cover it since my warranty expired, so $220 was the cost to replace.
The tech had to dig to access the pipe, but he could have taken a little more care to make it easier to put the grass back together but no, he flung grass and dirt everywhere. Had to get additonal soil and grass seed to patch the area back up.
And he did not like the fact that I stood there and watched him do the repair. Sorry but if I'm paying someone to do a job, I have the right to watch and make sure it's done.
My overall experience with this company is poor. They probably have decent price for builders but I would never call them again to do any future work on my house.
I do not recommend this company for any homeowner to hire, look someplace else.'''.
