HOAs - please avoid this company due to their lack of understanding HOA processes. Save the Day Plumbing did a great job fixing our plumbing issue quickly and at a fair price.

However, the payment process was frustrating. While the technician, Danny, initially seemed professional, he became insistent on immediate payment the minute he finished his work.

As a project manager, communication is essential for my work. I explained that our HOA property management company handles invoices and would be in touch with him regarding payment.

Unfortunately, Danny seemed unaware of standard HOA payment procedures. He pressured me to pay out of pocket and seek reimbursement from the HOA later, which is an unreasonable request.

Every HOA I've encountered has a net 30-day payment cycle for vendors. Typically, our HOA takes pride in the fact we pay vendors within 5 business days.

It was surprising, as we've worked with over 30 vendors in the past, and none have ever demanded immediate on-site payment. While Save the Day Plumbing delivered quality work, the payment pressure detracted from the experience.

Daniel put cloth coverings over his shoes in order to enter our house even before dealing with our back-up. Daniel quickly unclogged the back-up and then verified that it was back to normal by having us stress the system with lots of water.

Junior came to our house in less than an hour. He inspected the faucets and spigots outside.

He found that we had a problem with our very dated water softener. The filter was clogged and prevented water from flowing through the pipes.

Junior flipped the bypass valve on the water softener system and allowed water to come through. We now have regular water.

Will likely be changing out the water filtering system. I also asked Junior to check our water pressure, which he did.

And Junior didn't even charge us. He explained everything clearly.

Hugo came out and did the initial inspection of our sewer lines. Getting a quote and scheduling the work was a breeze and Eric and his crew were there a few days later (after it stopped raining) to replace a broken elbow in our sewer line.

They did an excellent job and we were very grateful for how well they filled in the trench after they were done -- you couldn't even tell that they had to dig a large trench in the yard to get the work done. We were very impressed with their work.

They also did a smoke test which identified a leak behind our washing machine, where we had some odor coming in. We will schedule that repair next and I'll update with that experience.

Fernando showed me the grease that had accumulated in the pipes and tested the sink drain to make sure there wasn't any obstruction. The job came with a 30 day warranty which I thought was a nice touch, in case the problem is deeper than a regular old grease build up.

Based on my interaction with Fernando, who seemed very honest and genuine in his approach to plumbing and the technical know-how, I'd definitely hire them again for any future plumbing issues in the house. Fernando and pops came through December 19, 2019.
