Review and analyze now for company Cornett Plumbing & Heating and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''Called Cornett Plumbing to fix my garbage disposal and was able to get someone to come out same day. Dave O tried repairing the garbage disposal but recommended replacing it due to its wear and tear (including some corrosion and leaking at the base).
He was able to fix it within 2 hours and also fixed the water pressure in my kitchen sink. Pricing was fair for the service.
Highly recommend Cornett Plumbing! Had a slab leak so i called cornett to have pipes rerouted. They showed up on time and did a great job.
Explained everything to me as the day went on. Gave me a good quote and dis the job and finished sooner than expected.
A+ I can't say enough good things about this company. In the ten years we've been using their services they have consistently offered great service at reasonable prices.
They are quite responsive when called and schedule their visits quickly. We've had them install clean outs as well as deal with smaller issues and the plumbers they send are always courteous and helpful.
Dave did a wonderful job replacing a corroded water valve under a sink. Immediately, the company responded to my inquiry and I was able to receive service the next day.
Dave was very engaging and polite, at first a man of few words, but diligent and focused on the job at hand. I was able to ask him some questions about a few other concerns and he shared his knowledge with me to help me make an informed decision.
Thanks for your help! I had a broken HVAC duct that needed to be repaired. I received the best quote from Cornett against 4 other companies.
They truly paid attention to my needs and most importantly took care of the problem. This company is very honest, very professional, and certainly provided us tremendous value for the work they have done.
I will continue to use them and certainly refer them to any plumbing/ HVAC needs in the South Bay Area. Thank you Dale & others from Cornett.
Today, Dave installed our kitchen & patio faucet so perfect ! Wow he fixed them so fast, this is the 2nd time we called for a break down at home, Dave is so great, loved his work, perfectly, perfect if we could rate him as 10 * we would. Thanks so much Dave.
Lee H. When I called Cornett on 7/3/24, the day before the Fourth of July holiday weekend, I fully expected to arrange an appointment for the following week to fix some annoying but non-emergency plumbing problems.
Instead I was informed that a technician would arrive between eleven and two that day! As a long time and well satisfied Cornett customer I expected good service but this was above and beyond. Roger arrived at 1115 and diagnosed the problems in a few minutes and informed me that, luckily, he had the cartridge needed to fix one of the problems on his truck.
In about an hour and a half, my bathroom was again functioning as it should. If you need plumbing services or any of the associated services listed on their website, give these folks a try.
They know what they're doing and they run their business the way a business should be run. It's a pleasure to deal with them.
Our water heater started leaking during the holiday weekend, but Wayne was quick to respond to my inquiry. We have always used Cornett for our plumbing and heating needs and they didn't fail us this time either.
George came today and did a great job installing the new heater. Always happy to support a local small business! Just waiting for my final bill, but they have always been fair with their prices.
Thank you, Cornett! Excellent response time and service. Wayne was able to identify the issue with our furnace within minutes and ordered the part and installed next day for us.
Thanks, Wayne! TERRIBLE SERVICE! Do not use this company. I've called for several days to set up an appointment and on my last attempt to reach someone, I get this rude woman on the phone who says her name is Minel (spelling not sure because she said she doesn't have to spell her name!) who apparently thinks she can be as rude as she wants to be and it's ok.
When asked to speak to the manager she says she is the manager. Who ever the owner is of this business please be aware you have the wrong person answering the phone! There are lots of plumbing companies out there so pass up Coronett and find one that treats people well.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! To the business owner's reply...THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT WHAT THAT CONVERSATION WAS ABOUT! WE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO THE FEE! And if you don't think she was rude, then that explains why she was rude. You let it be ok! Shame on me for not asking more questions, but when I asked them about a loose tile under my toilet that I suspected was the result of a leak, they said they'd have to send a person to see if that was the case and said nothing else about a charge for giving the quote.
When the plumber came, he said he couldn't tell anything without lifting the toilet up and breaking the seal. For that it'd be 250, or 700 to just get a new toilet entirely.
When I asked him to write down the quote so I could ask my husband who wasn't home at the time, he charged 125 for just showing up to provide the quote. Having gotten quotes for non-urgent plumbing jobs before without being charged for a quote, I was shocked.
I understand some plumbers have service call fees, but to not be upfront about it ahead of time means I'll never use them again and stop recommending them to my friends, neighbors, and Nextdoor. Wow! I called on Monday to say i needed a new water heater.
Said they'd be out in 2 hours. I said thank you but how about Tuesday morning.
They said yes between 9 and 11 AM. On Tuesday morning they called me a little after 8 AM and said they were on their way.
As I was leaving the house for a few minutes, I said give me a half hour and I will be right back. When I got home, they were out front waiting for me.
They removed the old water heater, took it away and installed the new one in a very reasonable amount of time. The two guys that did the work were very polite and informative and thank you Cornette plumbing.
I will definitely call you for the next issue. Roger from Cornett Plumbing was excellent in fixing a noise issue from the hot water circulation pumps in my condo.
He followed thru and assisted when the boiler company showed up. This is commitment to excellent customer service.
I would recommend him highly without any hesitation. Very knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service.
Thank you!!! Aug 2023: Sold me an AC unit that broke then charged me a fortune to fix it and it didn't even last a 6 months!! When I texted to come back and make it right he blew me off!! Run away...they take advantage of people Great service! Wayne was punctual, professional and very helpful. He went out of his way to take a look at my clogged bathroom sink (and fixed it free of charge) although he was not there for that.
Serviced the tankless water heater promptly and accurately. Recommend him 100%.
Thank you, Wayne! Our faucet burst in the bathroom sink and water started overflowing the entire bathroom. Mikey from Cornett was the absolute best! He was at our apartment complex helping another unit, and popped over right away to help us.
He fixed it immediately and even patched up a hole which was unrelated. We appreciate the service at Cornett and will always be calling them for any plumbing needs! I heard a faint noise in the bathroom from under our raised foundation and suspected a leak in our water line.
Was able to confirm when I turned off our water supply line. Called Cornett to explain, and thru question's asked by the dispatcher was able to confirm.
Dave was at our house about 90 minutes later. Dave dawned his Tyvek suit with forehead mounted flashlight, crawled under the house, found the leak and repaired.
Cornett has been servicing our plumbing and HVAC needs for well over 20 years. Where else can you get Journeyman Plumbers such as Dave who have been with Cornett for 42 years! From HVAC repairs, Kitchen and bath fixtures, water heater replacement, water pressure regulators and drain cleanout, their service is and has been, "SECOND TO NONE"! Again, for over 2 decades, Cornett has given us value to our home Plumbing and HVAC needs! Both my sister and I used their services quite a few times.
We trusted them although their charges are getting more expensive which we understand things are changed after Pandemic. The recent call was not satisfactory at all, workman went, could not complete the job as it was a community public issue, workman did call me to provide reason for not completing the job, but left without putting back what he removed.
I called their main line, emergency hot line with no response, called the workman and he hang up on me at the moment he answered and I said Hi. Believe me, the charges were ridiculous high for an incomplete service.
The 3 stars was rated overall satisfaction of all the services in years. Once again, Cornett came through for us.
Mark diagnosed the main line blockage problem, scoped it, and went to work. Everything was put back to as he found it.
A very responsible company that we're used exclusively since 1979. What a difference experience makes! I bought a shower/hand held combo from Kohler.
I was assured... simple...
just take off your old fixture and screw in the new one. Nope! Had to have a pipe"nipple" installed.
I called a plumber who came over, charged me 200$ to tell me he couldn't help me! (Why?? I still dont know? Inexperienced? Didnt care?) So it sat there for months while i tried to find someone to help. I remembered that i had used cornett before so i called.
They sent Dave over... experienced, efficient, and no drama repair! He even mounted the shower bar onto the shower tile with no problem!! Dave from cornett is my hero!! I so appreciate his expertise and experience! We had an issue with our kitchen sink backing up.
Roger was sent out to address the issue. I received a call 20 minutes prior to the 2 hour window they gave me letting me know they were going to be there early (I wasn't available to attend to them before scheduled time).
First time out, he asked very few questions and was in an obvious rush to move onto the next job. Visit took no more than 20 minutes (all he did was snake the pipe), and charged me $225.
The invoice states that the work included a 30 day warranty. After a few days we noticed that when the water ran for an extended period of time, it would start backing up again.
Contacted Cornell to have them send someone out to investigate further since snaking the pipe didn't ultimately solve the issue. Roger was sent out again.
He arrived with a terrible attitude, was extremely rude and unprofessional. Would not let me speak or explain what was going on.
After a few minutes he explained that he was pissed off because he had been waiting around for me, I tried to explain that the doorbell doesn't ring inside, so I couldn't have heard it and that I had no calls from them in attempt to reach me. He said he did call (later found out they called the old number on the account which I updated the first time I contacted them).
At the end of the day, this all could have been handle with SOME professionalism. It was completely uncalled for giving me such a nasty attitude and being so rude.
Clearly I wasn't trying to waste his time, it was simply a breakdown in communication. Not even an attempt to have a conversation without storming off and telling me to hire someone else.
Unreal. Also, it would be great if he could be taught how to write legibly on invoices to reduce the need to dispute the legitimacy of the "work" he claims he performed.
Grow up man. Terrible experience with Roger (just like the review I just saw from last November).
He did not know how to do a simple faucet replacement and damaged our finishes while trying to figure it out. He then said he could not do it and left without cleaning up the mess he left.
When we called the company, they said we must not have been nice to him (remarkable since no one had talked to the plumber so it was just a generic excuse and also since we were nice even when he walked out on us). Amazing they would blame us and avoid talking about their employee incompetence.
However, they sent Brian out to follow up and he did an amazing job. Ask for Brian! Wayne is professional and honest.
My unit is 45 years old. Instead of asking me to replace the entire heater, he fixed it.
After spending a few hundreds, the unit works well. I appreciate Courtney's trying to save their customer money.
We've relied on Cornett since 2015 to install/service a tankless water heater, change cartridges in shower valves, install faucets, clear sinks and main line clogs and patch leaks. We've worked with most of the team here.
The leadership of the founding family attracts and retains talent. Their plumbers have always been reliable and professional.
They have consistently solved our problems. Their pricing is transparent and fair.
As a result, they will always be our first call. And speaking of that first call, the kind lady, Manal, who mans the phone lines, is fantastic.
We've also worked with them on the HVAC side. They are excellent there too.
They've earned and rewarded our trust. Highly recommend.
We recently had a central A/C unit installed. Wayne gave us a great estimate! He didn't push replacing our existing central heating unit that other companies were recommending.
Further Wayne didn't try to sell us a larger more expensive unit as he felt we didn't need it, this was also in contrast to other companies. Cornett Plumbing and Heating is honest, does great work and is very reliable.
I highly recommend them for your A/C needs. I had a great experience with installation and removal of my old furnace.
Wayne & Miguel were fantastic! The job was Professionally done, cordial and explained everything to me and they made sure everything worked properly! They cleaned up nicely and all at a fair price Highly recommended All I can say is Wayne was amazing. He is honest, fair, and most of all reliable.
We have had a bad Ac unit which wasn't blowing out cool air. I got multiple quotes from different companies and even got someone to try and fix it.
Let's just say, it was a very long drawn out and stressful experience. Then Wayne came into the picture, diagnosed the problem, and presented possible solutions the problem.
He was able to replace the whole unit and have us up and running within 1 week. It was a very stress free and pleasant experience.
He gave us a fair deal and now I'm sitting here as cool as can be. Don't hesitate and book them! Thanks to Cornett, my AC is back up and running! In the height of this unprecedented heatwave, Cornett responded to my cry for help and saved me and my family.
Kind, knowledgeable, and reliable. All the things you're looking for.
After a few attempts of being taken advantage of by larger HVAC companies during a heat wave, Wayne provided an honest, fair, and no-nonsense assessment. Installation of a new AC unit + the addition of dual zoning took 2 days.
Wayne and Josh were extremely respectful, clean, and efficient during the installation and provided information, explanation, and tips along the way. Please consider calling Cornett for your HVAC needs rather than calling a larger company that focuses on upselling, warranties, and fear tactics.
We recently had flooding in our garage due to a slab leak. We called Cornett and left a message.
It was late at night so we honestly didn't expect them to call us right back although the yelp site does say they're 24/7. I called again the next morning and talked to the secretary who told us someone would come take a look that morning.
Sure enough, Joshua came within an hour to take a look. They're super busy these days so his earliest availability wasn't until two days later which wasn't ideal but fine with us.
He said the job would take a day and a half but he was actually able to finish it all within a day! He did an excellent job and was very friendly and professional. We could tell he has a lot of experience and he knew exactly what he was doing.
We were so stressed out about the leak but his confidence put us at ease. He even talked to the HOA office for us and confirmed that it would be fully covered.
I highly recommend Cornett for any plumbing needs, especially Joshua! After purchasing our first home, we had two leaks within the first two months. I worked with other plumbing companies who were much more expensive, less reliable and not as responsive.
Once I finally started working with Cornett, everything became exponentially easier. Plus, their entire team (every tech I met) is so warm and easy to work with, which is a bonus.
I'll continue working with them from here out! But let's hope I don't have to. ;) They provided a 2800 dollar estimate to fix a leaking drainage pipe in the garage.
It was based on two guys spending all day. They worked for 3 hours, went out for 1 hour and finished in half a day.
So basically, the estimate was worst case and they charged as if it took the full day. That is 600 dollars an hour (2 guys) to fix a leaking drain pipe.
I emailed the company, left messages, and asked them to do the "right thing" and adjust the bill based on the actual time spent. They never responded to any of my inquiries.
Cornett does good work, but has always been more expensive than other companies. They've done several jobs for us with high quality work, but if you can't trust them to bill responsibly, then it is a sign of lack of integrity in their business practices.
Trust is an important part of hiring a contractor and I have none left for Cornett. I can't imagine trying to get a warranty call with this company when I can't even get an estimate for a new install.
I'll begin with the receptionist, they lack the art of customer service, when I first called, I mentioned I was looking to get a quote for an AC and Heater installation on a property. They seemed reluctant because I wasn't the home own, although I had full authority to get a quote started.
The receptionist was unwilling to help out to proceed with a quote for the property till finally, I had the home owner call them and tell them that I was authorized to get a quote. I mean, I understood their hesitancy with it however, I did not understand their lack of effort to help me out to move it along.
So finally, the appointment was made for the technician to come out and provide us a quote. The technician was on time, nice and respectful.
He took about 10 minutes to look around and mentioned, yup, we do these installs all the time. He mentioned we'll get that quote out to us soon.
Well a couple of weeks have gone by and haven't received a quote yet. I called for an update and once again, the receptionist wasn't much help again.
A couple more weeks went by and finally, I called again and asked to speak to the owner. When I spoke to the owner, I mentioned before I left a negative review about the service of your company, I hoping that you'll be able to remediate it and give you guys a fair chance.
I mentioned I understand how things call fall through the cracks but please note, this is us try to hire you and give you money for a service your company provides but it's getting me very nervous if I would ever need a warranty call on the installation. He mentioned he'll look into it and get back to me.
Well the owner of the company, much like the receptionist and the serviceman, did not get back to me after weeks of waiting. I always say that customer service is always a reflection of management and this once again proves it.
This also seems to be an ongoing issue with this business. I would strongly recommend that you call another business for a quote at the same time, in case they don't get back to you too.
So if customer service isn't a priority, then Cornell might be the company for you. Again, I didn't have the opportunity to hire then and experience their work but they were way below my level of customer service expectations.
Update: 05/25/2020 Oh, I don't mind you guys choosing not to work with me, but let me know. Don't leave people hanging for a response.
Again, I can't imagine trying to get a warranty. I've already installed a new unit and paid someone else $10k.
Mark came fixed our leak in no time in closet last october. Now Have bigger problem Jason is heading this job.
Waiting to get walls scanned to find leaks. Jason recommended a company in 818 area code waiting on them Goldek 1-3pm time of arrival.
Will post more later but Wayne and his hole Crew A #1 Tops in the business! Thanks again Cornett for awesome jobs and Job being done now!!!!! Don We used Cornett for our HVAC needs in our home a few years ago. My wife who handles all the household repairs was so impressed with Del, the owner, who came out.
She had no problem remembering Cornett when she thought our AC was not working up to par during this recent heat wave. She contacted Cornett and had an excellent experience with Manelle and another receptionist who were very kind and accommodating.
She helped us fill a cancellation the next day! Ordinarily they are booked a month in advance, so we were lucky. They called to let her know Wayne, the son, was on his way.
He even called while on route. My wife was again impressed with his thoroughness and expertise.
We can wholeheartedly recommend Cornett, and will certainly use them again. Had a great experience with Mark on a tricky under the house leak ! Very quick reply and on time with a winning personality!! Amazing and nice company.
Came and replaced a broken heater without any issue and everything works perfectly! I had a leaky sewer cleanout and a recommendation from my general inspector that I hydrojet the sewer line. I had 3 plumbers over in total, one quoted a ridiculous price up front; another wanted $3800 to dig a trench and pull out the pipe.
Then Cornett Plumbing came over and took care of everything (no hydrojet was needed in the end) for $325. They are going to be my go-to plumbers from now on.
Floor heater stopped working right-- sometimes working & sometimes not. Got a referral from realtor friend for Cornett company.
Was serviced by heating tech Dave .. great & professional service!! I could tell he was experienced & extremely knowledgeable in heating repair/ operations.
He also had another guy to help. The other guy was young & I could tell he was obviously not as knowledgeable /experienced but Dave was great training & guiding him.
He got it working & called the next morning to check if it was working. I am glad I took the advise to call Cornett.
I would definitely recommend Cornett company for heating repairs (Dave) I heard they are reputable plumbing repairs as well. I just had one of their plumbers come out to fix a sump pump.
As usual wonderful service and reasonably priced. They never try to sell you something that you don't need.
They are always friendly and professional. I highly recommend them.
Brent, Terrific service and prompt! Will become my plumber from now on! Job done right and very cooperative. This was our first time using Cornett and I am super happy I choose them.
They got our dead heater working within minutes and stayed to test and insure that everyone was satisfied before they departed. Great job and super friendly.
I will be calling them for any issues in the future. Contacted Cornett Plumbing through Yelp for local plumbers.
Got a quote and appointment set up within reasonable time. Bryan did a clean installation on my kitchen faucet and garbage disposal.
Price was reasonable and workmanship was great. Could have rated 5 stars but didn't want this to sound like a fake biased review.
I would use Cornett Plumbing again in the future, and would recommend to others in Torrance. Local businesses should treat local residence well for long term goals/success.
I have used this company for years at work and decided to use them for my home and rentals. They are quick, courteous and never upsale you on anything.
I love Dave as he is very experienced but all of the people who have come out have been great. They installed our water heater.
The owner, Dale, came out for inspection/estimate, explained a lot of things about tank vs. tankless, and was very knowledgeable and also friendly.
I liked his common-sense approach too. Then Roger came out to install the heater.
He was polite, left the garage clean, and was also friendly. Everything went so smoothly, and they've got a new, happy customer! The only thing is that they can upgrade their phone service.
I called in to give my credit card info. With such an easy task in a short time period, I was given a bad impression of rudeness and unfriendliness.
You never know what the person is going through... but unprofessional nonetheless.
Had to replace water heater. Cornett crew came out did a great job at a fair cost.
Family owned. I would recommend Cornett.
Thank you for all the plumbing jobs well done! We first met Roger the plumber and Manal the dispatcher when we had a shower leak in the wall. Roger was expert, professional, and efficient in solving a complex problem.
On later visits that included replumbing a master shower, we have been privileged to develop friendly and trusting relationships with Roger and Manal. Then, over the holidays, we had a slab leak in the living room.
It was an absolute pleasure to work once again with Manal; she was knowledgeable, responsive, and courteous. Under a tight timeframe, she coordinated a team led by Josh and Jason to complete the repair before our daughter returned home.
Subsequently, we made the decision to re-pipe the entire house. Josh and Jason spearheaded an effort that was respectful of our home and privacy.
The work was completed on time; furthermore, they were focused on providing follow-up and service to ensure total satisfaction. Dale, the owner, embodies the culture and professionalism of Cornett.
Every team member is gracious, skilled, and provides excellent workmanship. Although we do not wish for additional plumbing issues, it is a delight to work with Cornett.
Very friendly and professional. Wayne came out and got the job done when no other place could.
Very highly recommended. Again, top notch service from the people at Cornett Plumbing & Heating.
After water from a pin hole leak in the ceiling damaged one of the rooms in our home, my wife and I decided it's time to repipe. Went with PEX and got quotes from several contractors to see how they compared to Cornett.
Some bid higher while others quoted lower. Some of them had only been repiping with PEX for a short time while others had years of experience, but also tried to up-sell equipment not needed as well as overcharge for the job.
Jason from Cornett came out for the estimate. Explained the pros and cons of PEX and copper as well as the costs.
I brought up the items other plumbers had mentioned during their estimates and he explained they were not needed or would not make a significant difference to water quality and only add to the cost of the repipe. Discussed the route where the new water lines would go and met with the abatement company to show where he wanted the holes to be specifically cut.
After the abatement company finished making their cuts, Jason came out with his brother, Josh and the pair worked quickly and efficiently to complete the repipe. The duo worked independently on their assignments to finish sections of the house fast but employed a sense of team work, if that makes sense.
At the end of each day, they cleaned up their respective areas nicely and brought any old copper pipe and debris with them. While working the job, I pointed out some non-related plumbing issues I had and Jason took care of those as well for a significantly less cost than what I thought it would be.
Nothing but positive comments for these guys and a continued commitment to excellence from Cornett Plumbing & Heating. Fixed a Google Nest thermostat that had been incorrectly installed.
It was a wiring problem. I have been using Cornett plumbing for over 25 years and I have been negligent in never giving them the outstanding credit they deserve.
They have replaced my piping with copper, replace and relocated water heaters on many occasions, installed new toilets, replaced wax seal and miscellaneous faucet/drain trap replacements...ALL WITHOUT A CALLBACK!!! Had a small revisit on some work and again received the best service I have had from a plumbing and heating service. I absolutely will bring my business to these professionals again without hesitation.
David as before was fast and professional. Thanks again Cornett!!! Wayne came out to do an assessment on our broken A/C and within an hour had identified the issue and fix.
While practicing social distancing, he explained the best way to maintain our unit and assured us we can call him again next year to check on the unit. Roger from Cornet Plumbing & Heating is a good find.
Does the job well and cleans up quickly. I'll be calling him for my annual plumbing maintenance! Came out promptly after receiving furnace part and installed in under an hour.
Now our furnace works again. Their quote was significantly lower than the initial quote we received.
Also looked at a couple other issues around our house and provided some good tips and advice. Had to have a power vented water heater replaced.
Customer service of this local plumbing company rocks! Many thanks to the plumber, Bryan. He's very upstanding and knowledgeable and will not try to up sell you.
Cornett guy knocked three holes in the drywall before he found the leak; simple repair at a fitting: sweat it off, remove split nut, replace with new nut, sweat fitting back on, tighten nut. $500.
Drywall neither repaired, nor was a referral given for a good drywall man. Unhappy camper.
Wall Heater was not working properly so I gave Cornett a call and was told that they could come out after 1pm and that I would get a call to let me know they were on their way. Dale arrived shortly after 1, looked at the heater asked a couple of questions, looked at the flame and discovered that the heater was pushing too much gas thought the burner and running too hot, made an adjustment, tested and checked some more, less than an hour and we have heat again.
Price was very reasonable and service was quick and efficient Would not heistate to use them again. Yelp once again did not disappoint when selecting a plumber for my Mom.
She wanted to get her water heater wrapped in a blanket since the heater is located in a metal shed outside next to her house. I spoke to Lisa at Conrett.
She was so nice, friendly and helpful. My Mom was very happy with their service and price.
I will definitely use Cornett when I need a plumbing or heating service for my home. This review is purely based on Cornette Plumbing and Heating's responsiveness as I did not get a chance to work with them.
I called Cornette for a furnace installation quote after finding the great reviews. Someone came in to take a look and said he will provide me a quote next day.
Never received a quote next day so called again. I was told he will send it next business day.
As I did not receive the quote the next business day, I called again. Lady on the phone had no clue and said that she will follow up and provide a quote.
Its been several days since and I haven't received a quote. Seems they have enough business that they don't bother to entertain new customers.
I will be taking my business elsewhere. WoW! That was the fastest call ever.
I felt like I was interrupting... they hung up saying they can't help me without hearing my question or request.
I chose them for the 5 stars ... sometimes you can't trust the rates These guys are great and you can trust them! We had MAJOR multiple slab leaks and they fixed our home with minimal interruption and kept things as tidy as possible.Their entire crew of plumbers are great and reliable, but my favorite is Josh.
It means a lot when you TRUST and REFER a plumbing business. I have also used them for the "small stuff".
Cornett is our go to place for any heating problems for sure! I've only been a homeowner for a little over the years and there's a lot I've learned and am still learning. The people here are always courteous and honest.
Always have a good experience with them and have been able to make appointments pretty quickly. They do their work well.
We've called Cornett for other heating needs before and they've always explained everything calmly even with all our questions. I readily admit that I really don't know much about home maintenance! I just changed my furnace air filter after three years not realizing that we had to change it! This time around we wanted to do a furnace check as we haven't had one in all the time we've moved in.
After extensive researching it seemed like it was something that we should be doing every single year. Cornett came out this time and let us know that since we have a newer heating system, we didn't need any maintenance checks! We only needed to call for service if we found something went wrong! Well that's one thing I don't have to worry about doing every single year then! Thanks Cornett for being honest and telling us the truth about what's actually needed! Had to get some major work done on some rusted pipes in my house and they did a very good job with getting the work done and getting it done throughly.
It took them almost 2 days to get everything done, but they made sure to minimize how many walls they had to make holes in and got everything done correctly. They are a little more expensive but would rather not take a risk with something like plumbing and they give like a 20 year warranty on their work.
Edwin (our plumber) did a great job and was very professional. I don't often find myself saying that I love having a plumber or a heating expert at my house.
Most visits are usually filled with anxiety and skepticism, BUT you won't experience any of that with Cornett plumbing and heating. I ended up working with Wayne who is a member of the Cornett family at the kick off to a big demo project for our guest bathroom.
Wayne was punctual, courteous, clear with the plan of action and found ways to save us money on the project. We needed to replace an old heater, I mean seriously old, and relocate it from a closet on our ground floor to the attic so we could take back some of the space it was taking up in our bathroom.
We needed to have an abatement done since it's an old house and Wayne made sure to set everything up and made it convenient for our schedule. Once we were in the clear with the abatement, Wayne and his team showed up and got to work right away reducting the attic space.
Did I mention they're incredibly careful with making sure they leave your house better than they found it? All of the guys that came through our house on behalf of Cornett were great. They were all respectful and just all around nice, good guys.
It's important to feel a sense of confidence when you have strangers in your home. We hit a snag when we ordered the replacement furnace, but that had everything to do with the new emissions standards set by CA and not by any fault of Wayne or his company.
In fact, because we had an issue with the new furnace, he went above and beyond to make sure we didn't have any surprises budget wise. He was always very clear in his budget updates and always made sure we were happy during and after the project was done.
We plan on working with Wayne and his crew again in the spring when things start to heat up and we're ready to add air-conditioning. For now, thank you Wayne and the entire Cornett crew for such a positive experience.
Great experience with Cornett - twice! I had Cornett over a few weeks ago to replace the hose bibs on my washer/dryer. Fast service, and a reasonable rate.
I found a need to call them again a short time later. I tried to install a smart thermostat on my HVAC and messed up the installation.
I called Dale, and he came out the same day (today!) and told me that I had burned out my transformer (oops). He replaced it and verified that my smart thermostat is now working like it should.
Thanks, Dale! I have used Cornett in the past. Always professional, neat and reasonably priced.
Today I had a new toilet installed by Bryan; great job. I know what quality work is and I saw it today.
If you need work you can't go wrong with Cornett. Cornett Plumbing was great.
I had an issue with my kids bathroom and not only did they try and help me over the phone and walk me through how to do a simple fix they did an awesome job fixing our sink. Dave O cam out and quickly fixed our under sink plumbing in less than 1 hour.
He came at the time given over the phone and provided a respectable and fair quote without giving us any sales pitch for thing we didn't need. He was super friendly and didn't keep my wife busy while she was working from home.
We will be using Cornett Plumbing again. Manal is one of the rudest people I've talked too.
Can't believe the owner lets her talk to people the way she does and even answer the company phone. I live at an HOA that uses this company for plumbing so I've had to talk to her a couple of times when it comes to scheduling.
The HOA has thought about canceling service with this company due to Manal being so rude to the homeowners, we have all complained to the board about her. The only reason they haven't got rid of them is due to cornett knowing the building so well.
She is just rude and unprofessional. Seeing all the other comments about here tells me I am not the only one complaining about her and maybe the owner should figure something out to make her be a better employee instead of defending her.
Just called to make an appointment for tomorrow because our A/C unit is not working properly. The receptionist said I would have to call back tomorrow to make an appt.
because she just shut down her computer and is walking out the door. I called at 4:40 pm and they close at 5 pm.
Really? Cornett has been my absolute favorite place for all my A/C and plumbing needs as the techs have been great. Office help really needs some help.
This is a shame. Outstanding service! Dale efficiently troubleshot my defaulting heater and had it up and running within an hour! Very courteous and professional service.
Cornett Plumbing and Heating is my #1 choice. My forced air heater went out and Coronet was out the next day and gave me an estimate on the spot.
Wayne was out two days after that to install a new unit. He did great work, was nice, cleaned up, and even shared his Spotify playlist with me! Bonus! During the heat of the last few weeks, our air conditioner unit outside stopped working and no cool air was being produced.
I called Cornett to come out and repair it if possible. The appointment was for early afternoon so I left work early to be sure that I'd be home on time.
I got a call from the serviceman when he arrived, a few minutes after the appointment time, just to confirm I was home. He came up, asked for the synopsis, and then started investigating.
He checked the fuses and discovered one had die. My unit uses 25A fuses, but he only had 20A, so he replaced the old pair with those.
We then turned the A/C on, but it wouldn't start. He opened the side panel on the unit and started testing some stuff there.
He determined it was the capacitor that had gone bad, so he replaced that as well and the A/C started working. Fantastic! He came inside and showed me how to replace the A/C filter to increase air flow, and suggested doing it once for the winter and once for the summer, since each filter is supposed to last for 90 days of use (and I had never even known there was a filter to change).
The total came to $177 for parts and labor, which seems a bit on the high side for about 30 minutes of labor (though it was pretty hot outside, unfortunately), some fuses ($15 at Home Depot), and a capacitor that must be $15-$25 according to this site http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/ecatalog/N-1z0dmgx, but I'm happy that the A/C is working and the serviceman arrived on time, friendly, explained what he was doing, and worked expeditiously. I'd likely seek their services again.
Thank you Cornett plumbing for sending Edwin and J2 Josh to repipe our house.Edwin & Josh did an excellent job !They were very polite and got the job done in a timely maner.Thank you Edwin & Josh ! Will recommend to anyone needing plumbing or heating services or repairs. It's easy for companies to just write you off and say your warranty expired.
In the past 2 years we have had a wall heater and water heater purchased and installed by Coronett, costing us close to $4k in less than two years. Our wall heater cost us $2k, was installed in feb 2018 and already has broken down.
Basically I threw away $2k of our hard earned money to simply be told it's out of warranty and will cost us over $300 to repair. Updated: thanks Wayne for your response, just called your office and left you a message....I hope you can work something out to make us all Thank you Wayne for helping us out! I called Cornett Plumbing & Heating after seeing all the positive reviews on Yelp.
Dayle came out to my house to repair the heater. He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me an estimate on the spot.
It was a little higher than I wanted to pay, but we need a heater since it has been exceedingly cold at nights. So I went ahead and authorized him to do the work.
He did a great job. He changed the circuit board and the thermostat.
He showed me how to change the filter on my own. The next day the heater wasn't working and I called Dayle again.
He came out to inspected it and made the final repairs. We slept in a warm house last night!! Thanks Dayle! Yelpers! Cornett heating and plumbing installed our home AC unit in Torrance.
Though we have not had the opportunity to really test its capabilities, thus far I am very please with the customer service, price and installation. Wayne who provided the bid was extremely personable and knowledgeable.
His team came in roughly 40% less than their competitors, was fast and enjoyable to work with. Five star in our book Just had the pleasure of having Dale install a new wall heater in our house .
Dale did a great job within the promised time frame and was very accommodating working while my son was sleeping upstairs. great service and very professional .I would definitely recommend Cornett and Dale to anyone who is in needs for heating and cooling services , just an honest and all around great company .
I used Cornett to get a new water heater in my house. The water heater was in the worst possible place.
Tucked away in a tiny corner, behind under appliances, any plumber's nightmare. Brian came to my house and did a phenomenal job.
He spent the day working on it, and my new one works way better than the old. This guy did a helluva job.
If Brian comes to your house, consider yourself lucky, as he knows everything, will give you an honest, detailed opinion, and will work hard like a true professional. Definitely recommend Cornett to anyone who's got a tough job or wants an honest opinion.
We used this company for the first time. Our choice was based on some positive reviews.
The service guy came on the second day after placing our order. The guy has found and fixed the problem within 45 minuets.
It was a simple fixed. Quick and easy and no parts were used.
To our surprise the bill was not as reasonable as we thought. They refused to give a breakdown for the amount billed.
We have no choice but have to pay what ever they asked. We will not use this company again.'''.
