The service I requested was for building shelving in the garage. I hired Raul to install my entrance and garage door.

Upon reaching out, Raul was prompt in his response, professional and eager to take on the job. He did the walk through on a Thursday and by Monday he had purchased the doors and was installing them.

I truly believe Raul didn't realize how challenging my job would be as we came across several obstacles but he was confident he could get the job done and wanted me to be happy with the end result. The cons: Raul and his team did not prep the work area.

No construction paper was put down and my new floors got damaged, the drywall around my garage door frame was done very sloppy and I had to have my painter come to redo it and a small baseboard is completely off. With that said, they worked long hours and it was incredibly hot but I think rushing a job to get it done is a recipe for a sloppy job.

Thank you nonetheless for your hard work. We had previously hired Raul for a couple of small tasks, so our hopes were high when we asked him to send painters to freshen up the front of the house.

Frank and his assistant went above and beyond: they replaced rotted wood that we had assumed they would simply paint over. We are already arranging for them to paint more of the house.

I have recommended Raul to several friends. Raul responded back to me in a timely manner for a job that I needed for drywall repair.

His quote is very reasonable. He was available and the drywall repair was completed.

I had gotten a hold of different roof companies that even claim to be handling roof repairs, however, almost all of them just wasted my time , and just indicated they won't come to check out the job, unless I'm planning to replace a large portion of my roof. I recently had problems with my solar company not assuming responsibility at first.

however solar company's tech finally came by and accepted to seal off a portion of my shingles that had loosened up around the solar panels. Realistically, they did a pretty sloppy fix up at the time.

Tony had come by and he did a great job in fixing their work. He applied new sealing around all the shingles and flashing of my sky tunnels and skylights as well.

He also replaced some new matching shingles around the leaking site. I found Tony to be pretty genuine and reliable, and the pricing for the job was fair for the quality of the work.

I would highly recommend them! In regards to the owners response bellow. It's very easy to "say" you'll take care of it.

I have several emails/responses to my concerns with him claiming he would fix it...but he didn't. Every time it was don't worry I'll take care of it, but not when, or how.

Vague useless words. I supplied all the materials myself (it's all in the estimate) so it's unclear to me what he is claiming to have purchased with my deposit etc.

"Affordable" handyman ended up costing me hundreds of dollars and didn't finish project. I met with Raul twice about remodeling a bedroom.

The second time he came with a guy named Larry. (Unclear if Larry is one of his employees or a subcontractor) I paid the deposit and they stated work.

Everything Larry did do was awful, or incomplete. He abandoned the project completely after three days telling me to "figure it out" and let me know when I had gotten the replacement supplies.

Apparently he had "made some bad cuts" and run out of baseboard/mounding, including the extra I had purchased just in case. Never heard from him again.

I had emailed Raul everyday with my concerns after getting home and seeing the state of the "work" Larry was doing, and was told repeatedly not to worry about it, before he started calling me by someone else's name and ultimately ghosting me. Some highlights of the "work" included: 1- only caulking two sides of a window + lumpy and debris in caulk 2- not priming/prepping ANYTHING, so paint was either extremely patchy or pealing in under 24 hours depending on the finish.

3- the worst joins I have ever seen in baseboard. 4- Spilled white paint in the driveway and made zero attempt to clean.

I ended up having to strip everything of what he did, repurchase and finish new materials to match and months later hire a different person to do it properly the second time. This company was great, they responded quickly and I was able to get an appointment within days.

Day of, they were on time and very professional. I just needed some drywall patching and some lighting fixtures to be replaced.

They got everything done within a few hours and did a great job matching our drywall texture! I would definitely recommend! Raul was fantastic! Will definitely be going back to him for any handyman needs in the future. We have a window seat that got clawed up by our dogs always jumping on it, since it was basically just plaster that matched the walls.

We didn't just want to repair it, because it would just happen again. Talked it over with Raul and he came up with a great white acrylic top solution that is super durable and ties in with with our windows, baseboard, and moulding.

I called him late Tuesday, he came out to assess on Wednesday, sent me a quote on Thursday, and the work was done by Friday afternoon. Couldn't recommend him more.

Called Raul and his team to handle some more fixes around the house, and once again they didn't disappoint. I recently installed a new tankless water heater, and needed help fixing up the exterior wall where the old tank and enclosure used to be.

They came out within the next day, and proceeded to repair and repaint everything within super timely manner. I even noticed them touching up stuff I didn't even ask for just because it didn't look right.

Along the way I asked if they could take care of a few more repairs on the spot ( i.e. a crack in the ceiling, and a drywall opening ) and they had no problem handling it along side the original job.

He snaked the bathroom sink drain quickly and cleanly, determined it was a hair clog (long hair - shocking!), and he left the property neat and clean. Really professional, and I highly recommend him! They are very responsive to your calls. We kept hearing a drip when we flushed our upstairs toilet.

I reached out to the Yelplisted businesses and Saucedo plumbing messaged me back in 5 minutes with advice and asking to call him to discuss the problem. After talking for a few minutes we basically decided that the main was clogged and the line needed to be cleaned out.

However, Lalo recommended a replacement of the whole segment of cast iron to ABS. He let me know that cracks are usually not isolated and that this would ensure we don't run into any other problems.

Though it was slightly more expensive than what others quoted, I'm so glad I listened to him! Lalo was able to come out the next day with a colleague and they ripped out about 20' of old cast iron pipe. The excavated pipe was corroded and completely cracked throughout; replacing the segment, on the other plumbers recommendation, would have only caused the problem to happen again.

They responded to my Yelp inquiry in under 10 minutes, and when I spoke to Michael he asked great questions about my aunt's issue that I was calling about--she's 90 years old with dementia and was due to be discharged from a rehab center the next day and her shower and toilet at her Marina del Rey condo weren't working. I had previously hired another (terrible) plumber who had been recommended by the condo's HOA, and he didn't communicate pricing or specifics, and ended up waaaay overcharging me to fix 3 sinks and didn't even address the master shower/toilet issue.

Michael was able to get a technician out within a few hours, and after the technician left, Connie and Michael called and explained the situation as well as their pricing, which--after having been taken advantage of by the previous plumber--was very much appreciated and quite a deal. My new go to plumbers. Lalo installed my extremely heavy new one piece toilet in no time at all and left my bathroom cleaner than when he arrived.

Will definitely use again when this old house gives up on something else I am so happy to discover this company! My garbage disposal stopped working - Connie sent Lalo right out, he installed a new disposal. There was some leaking a few days later; he came right back as soon as I contacted them and fixed the problem with no charge.

Another time, I wasn't sure about a problem, and Connie walked me through on the phone how to fix it myself. They're honest, they respond quickly, and they're good people.

I have used this company in the past to clear drains and like their timeliness and professionalism. I then went to use them for a more difficult issue with my overflow drain and will NEVER use them again.

The issue was offered to be fixed for $200 which is close to the price they charge for coming out ($165-$185) even though they were already there (fine just get it done). They cut into my wall and then weren't able to access the spot they needed so the plumber proceeded to try to fix it via a mickey mouse fix from the front of the drain.

This solution wasn't even offered to me prior to cutting into the wall. Behind the wall they found backboard which they didn't want to cut into, so then were going to work on fixing it from below (which was already open at the time they did the mickey mouse fix).

The mickey mouse fix didn't work but she still charged me for it. Connie (the owner) is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with.

She said I should feel lucky that she is even giving me the name of the drywall guy after I asked her for a week for it. When I was asking my questions about trying to understand why they are going to fix it from a spot that was already opened NOW that the mickey mouse fix didn't work and why they didn't do that from the beginning her response led with 'OMG this is so frustrating'.

Wouldn't use this company. Had another company come out after my friend cut into the backboard and they fixed it quickly and easily.

I'm usually in support of women owned companies but not one where the customer is treated like this. Can't remember if I left a review or not so I'm doing it again.

Connie was amazing - To my great luck Connie answered when I called. I had two non functioning toilets.

She asked if I had a little time and would be willing to try to trouble shoot the problems over the phone with her. I did and to my delight 30 minutes later my toilet was functioning once more after not working for 6 months and trying multiple fixes.

I will not hesitate to call them for other plumbing needs in the future. So a couple years after Connie did the work on a sewar line that she said needed to be fixed (for $1800) under the house (it wasn't blocked, she said from looking at it that it wasn't installed properly and would clog up eventually), the line ended up clogging up.

She hadn't done all the important plumbing work and just installed a couple new junctions at a very high cost. It should have only cost a couple hundred dollars and if she was concerned about the line and it clogging, she should have installed a clean out, which I had to pay to have installed later when the line she supposed "fixed" did clog.

Generally, she will find issues in your plumbing that aren't issues. She overcharges with a fixed quote and explains that there's a ton of work, but her workers are done in an hour or two.

She also was supposed to move a gas line and paid a deposit and when the LA Gas company called to move the line, she was unavailable and wouldn't refund my $750 deposit. 1) Always get a second or third quote.

For small jobs, most plumbers will quote over the phone or text. 2) For bigger jobs, get a written quote.

NEVER GIVE A DEPOSIT. 3) Be suspicious of additional work any contractor suddenly finds when they're giving a quote.

4) Email or text to communicate so you have a record of the work and the job. Take before and after photos.

5) Ask for a warranty in writing. Woke up this morning to the sound of water spraying under the house and called up Connie before they even opened.

Immediately received a response from Michael who coordinated beautifully with me for a same day fix. From the initial panic call early today, to the repair by Lalo, whom we've had the pleasure to work with before, to the follow-up call just now, the process and repair have been seamless.

The crawl space under the house is super tight and Lalo crawled in there emerging every time with a bright attitude and thorough explanation. The plumber we hired to fix this years ago used a clamp, not a real fix, so it's nice knowing there are people like Lalo and Michael and Connie doing business the honest way.

Until we met Connie at ADW, we'd had a very bumpy road addressing our house's sewer pipe issues--including a company that sent a truck to hydrojet the pipe, discovered they couldn't complete the process due to cracks in the pipe, and STILL charged us a grand for the truck.

Yes, they'd already camera-inspected the pipe. No, I have no clue how they didn't see the issue before bringing the costly truck.

The job wasn't easy because snaking the drain from the kitchen drain didn't work initially. After some investigation, we realized that our kitchen drain actually goes behind the wall, and if we can't clear the clog then we would have to open the wall up.

Connie didn't jump to the conclusion and actually went into our downstairs garage to try to snack from 3 other spots. When all the options failed, they cut open a section of the pipe and that was when the pipe cleared.

I unequivocally support this Woman Owned and Operated business serving Culver City and the entire westside of Los Angeles. I needed a plumber to come fix two shower handles that weren't catching the cartridges behind them to get the water as hot as needed.

I called 4-5 different plumbers before finding American Drain works. The other plumbers either didn't service Santa Monica, or they got in and decided they couldn't do the job ("I can't find the part you need" and "this job is too big for me").

Frank came to our property location. He was professional, had years of knowledge and experience, and just an all around good guy.

He knew what needed to be done, hyrdo jet the drains (i.e. power flush) and there was dirt and debris flowing out.

Afterward he flowed water through each drain to test that they were clear. This last part put me over the top with joy! (In my experience, most vendors just leave and rarely test to check to make sure the work performed actually fixed the problem.) For anyone who has served on their condo HOA, once vendors hear the word "HOA" it seems like there is an automatic surcharge added.

What I love and appreciate is, when speaking with Joan on the phone this firm did not price gauge us in our time of need. We were charge a fair price for the work that was done and they were able to come same day (I would of been ok if it was next day).

My first experience with this company was when I contacted them about servicing of a water heater located on the roof of our building. Although they were not able to do the job, Connie took the time to not only explain some of the details & pitfalls, but also gave me two referrals to other plumbers.

I was very impressed by her knowledge and attitude and bookmarked them for future reference. Yesterday, I called American at 9am, and by 10:30am Connie showed up at our door.

She was able to not only fix the issues, but explained why they occurred as well as how to prevent them in the future. When I called I told her I needed to replace my bath tub faucet, but rather than talk about that, she launched into a 15 minute presentation (aka sales pitch) about some miracle water treatment system for which she is an authorized representative. I listened politely till she finished and then said I was really only interested in replacing the bath tub faucet.

She asked me to text her a picture of the faucet and she would get right back to me. So, I sent the picture right away.

Um.....that was on 8/3/2020 and today is 9/2/2020 and I haven't heard a word. If she wasn't interested in doing the job I needed, the courteous thing would have been to just tell me that up front.

Not a fan of game players. I had a leak in my supply line under sink Connie removed and replaced it and no more leaking.

She also showed me where the water shut off value was located outside my house and showed me how to turn off the water supply to my house in the event I should have another leak, she also removed the kitchen and bathroom faucet aerators and cleaned the calcium depots that clogged the flow of the water. We were navigating several repairs on our new home, and everything was feeling pretty overwhelming. We knew we had plumbing issues that needed to be addressed, but were struggling to find someone we felt we could trust to tell us what was truly necessary.

Connie was patient with us, taking the time to explain everything that was going on. She helped us to put a plan in place, even drawing diagrams to be sure we understood her recommendations fully.

Since then, we've had them back to install a water filtration system and to unclog pipes after a contractor flushed a towel down our toilet. Every time, they have been meticulous in their work, kind and wonderful to be around, and left behind a clean worksite.

They stand by their work and are truly just a pleasure. Honestly, I sleep better at night knowing we have them in our corner.

I had not an urgent issue, just wanted to change shower drain. But plumbers managed to repair my old one! It's working perfectly now! So they are professionals and honest! I needed a simple drain unclogging and send an e-mail asking for a quote.

The person I e-mailed said to call the owner Colleen on her phone. Colleen seemed confused and annoyed and said she would have to come over to give an estimate.

On Father's Day I got a text confirming the appointment. I left work early and came home to meet the plumber at 3:00pm and received a text at 3:03 saying that they would not be coming.

In short, I put in a lot of effort and received no service. We called several companies before settling with this one.

Our water heater died a slow death and it was time to upgrade to a tankless. Connie was professional and knowledgeable.

Her team represented her company quite well. They were pleasant and very tidy in their work.

I recommend them highly. Connie and her team are great!! We had a plumbing leak from the ceiling which was worsening by the day.

Connie came out the same day to assess it when we called her. Lalo and his fellow technician did a wonderful job fixing the leak.

They also fixed a couple smaller items around the home that we had been procrastinating on. Prices were very reasonable.

We couldn't be happier with the results. Would definitely recommend this team to anyone in need of plumbing services! First thing I did when I saw my toilet overflowing with sewage was go on Yelp and find a plumber.

I went down the list and American Drain Works was the 5th plumber I called. Connie clearly communicated with me her schedule for the day and was able to come to my rescue 2 hours after I called.

Connie and Lalu showed up and went straight to work. Connie was very clear about each procedure, what to expect and the worse case scenario.

Unfortunately for us the problem was in the main drain and not the toilet. Toilet had to be removed, pipe snaked, and toilet reattached.

Lalu did a great job and was able to get our clog cleared. They also tidied up the whole area and did a quick clean of the toilet so it didn't look disgusting! Also, LADIES, how often do you call a plumber/electrician/handyman/etc and you have to hope and pray that you aren't letting some creep into your home?? I love that Connie is a female plumber!!! She knows her stuff, she explains things thoroughly and there were no hidden charges! P.S.

I don't know how her prices compare as no other company I called gave me a price. However, It was what I expected to pay and she was very clear about the prices BEFORE she did anything! Thank you Connie and Lalu!!!!!! Think twice before calling them! I had a sewer line clogged, so I called them.

They came out and opened up the sewer line and sludge went all over the floor of my garage! They then called a Toxic Waste Company to clean up the mess....that bill ended up being $5,500 and I am dealing with insurance to recover that cost. They then told me after snaking the sewer line that I needed to replace the pipes and advised me not to do laundry or run the dishwasher until I replaced them.

The estimate was $5,000 for black Plastic pipes (I think they are called ABS pipes). Here's what I found out since then: * They should NEVER have opened the pipe like that...they should have had a barrel underneath, so that sewage would not go all over my floor.

* The next day I had someone run a video camera in the pipes ($300) and they told me my pipes were fine (the clog caused the problem and once it was cleared the pipes were fine). * The black plastic pipes they quoted me are NOT up to code and would not pass inspection and are a fire hazard! * A neighbor got an estimate for the same plastic pipes for $1,200 not $5,000 (but remember, they are not up to code and a lot of local plumbers won't tell you that as my neighbor and I found out ...

ps... we have the same type of condo unit, so quote is comparable).

So, you decide. Maybe they are OK to use for simple clogs or drips...but I had no idea this was going to turn into such an expensive disaster when I had problems with my toilet.

Connie's amazing, she was very thorough in her inspection and gave reasonable prices for fixing the plumbing issues in my house. Her team was quick and professional and we were able to move into our new home on schedule.

I highly recommended American drain works! ADW is a great plumbing co. We had an issue, they were booked and couldn't come out.

They walked us through and we solved on our own with their guidance. Def going with ADW for all future plumbing concerns.

It's usually best to go straight to a professional. I had this drippy faucet "fixed" once by a handyman, and the second handyman said that he didn't think he could fix it.

Drainworks fixed it. At 3:30 I had a drippy faucet and at 4:30 I had a newly installed (by Lalo) faucet which didn't drip.

That's all I wanted. The price was EXTREMELY reasonable, which I appreciate, because if you own a house and you live in it for 28 years you're going to be doing repairs for 28 years.

Connie filled out the warranty for me and all I had to do was send it in. She also took the time to explain to me the common flaws in new faucets.

Connie has been great every time we call her for help. We have a rental unit and so we have issues that come up from time to time.

She was very thorough going underneath my house and pointing out things while looking at my sewer line. Unlike the other plumber I called who didn't go underneath my house, Connie has the licensing to do the entire job from underneath the house to the street.
