Review and analyze now for company Goodwill Plumbing and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''We have been a longtime customer of Goodwill Plumbing and today's work proved why. Requested an urgent job and was quickly given an appointment.
Today was a great test to professional work under extreme conditions. The technician arrived and worked in extreme heat while maintaining a positive attitude and leaving us confident of quality work.
I must give Mr. Garrett his props for quality work and a job well done under intense heat (he is a great asset to the company).
Nothing is perfect, but this company is close to that mark. We appreciate you guys and will remain loyal customers.
Thanks again for a job well done!! Goodwill Plumbing was recommended to me by my handyman for a job he didn't have the equipment for. He reached out to them in the late afternoon.
They responded quickly to him, took care of the job and priced it fairly. They have now been locked into my phone! My garbage disposal took a dump.
I called today 5/10/22 and was very impressed with their service. The lady who answered the phone was super nice and made me a same day appointment.
She even called back to offer a faster response. The tech came out quickly with the new part, replaced it, and even adjusted my water pressure for me.
He was very fast with the service. They came highly recommended and now I know why.
Thank you Goodwill Plumbing for your help. I will definitely call you next time.
Recommended by Arrow appliance and I agree wholeheartedly. Both companies are Top NOTCH! But let me take this time to write about my newest and bestest favorite plumbing company! They arrived quickly and on time; the problem was spotted and repaired in no time! The cost was reasonable($120.00) service call.
They are in my "contact list" NOW and I will call only THE BEST (Goodwill Hunting...er....Plumbing)! Great service! Presley showed up on time frame given upon call. We had flooding on patio due to this hurricane-storm.
He was able to snake the drains and was very professional and was able to clear the drains. Highly recommend! Thank you! They are amazing! Called my home warranty and they refer me to them.
Shelby was just amazing in having someone come out that same evening. She was friendly and polite.
As for the plumber he was very knowledgeable and willing to answer all my million and one questions. I will definitely be recommending them to friends and family.
Had an emergent water heater issue and Goodwill was the only company out of the 20 I called that could sent someone out that night. Josiah showed up at 9:00pm and immediately got to work.
Although he got the water heater lit, there was an issue. He assured me that he would return in the morning with the parts needed.
The following morning, Kodiak called and kept me informed o the status of the parts and his arrival time. He arrived within the window and got right to work.
Goodwill responded and got the work done. Highly recommend.
The Best around! Ray, Robert and Garrett are quick, knowledgeable, and efficient! We highly recommend and use Goodwill Plumbing for all our routine and emergency needs! 'Very professional and knowledgeable young technicians, got immediately to work and assessed the issue with my Rheem tankless water heater: Error Code 65 - "Faulty water flow solenoid". This has been the case for 2days; no hot water.
They removed the unit's exterior housing, laid on hands (not sure what they did), went inside the house to check the digital readout monitor, and ran the hot water. To my astonishment, from that moment on, the unit performed as new! They bolted the housing back together, shook my hand and said...
"no charge". Wow! What a wonderfully accommodating outfit! This guys crashed into me for not paying attention on the road.
Rather he was paying attention to a truck that he was following for two blocks because his tools was falling. (He stated) I have a recorded video but wasn't able to upload.
Ray the owner of this business was the driver and he got off was very nice and apologized to me and said "that's what insurance is for too bad it happen to us we are good ppl. Then he turns around to insurance and says it was my fault.
Please don't trust this guy! He appears to be nice and turns around and changes story. Presley did an awesome job replacing my garbage disposal last Friday Aug 19,2022, I would recommend his services any time!!! The new owners of this business are very unprofessional and rude.
I dont know why a business would act that way knowing customers have a voice. I guess they just dont care and the 3.5 stars clearly shows it.
I will never use this company again and I recommend you dont either. 16 horrible reviews out of 39! way to go! Fast arrived within 1 hour of call, clean, competent, knowledgeable.
will absolutely use them again. My son and I replaced the facet in the kitchen, which resulted in the old copper flex lines leaking at the wall shut off valves.
james came in took a quick look, 1 trip to his van, then Fixed the 25 year old problem. I had a plumbing problem and wish that i had called Good will plumbing from the start.
They came when they said that they would come did an excellent job and the young man who did the work, Kodiac was his name was so genuine and a pleasure to talk with. I would call them again if need be.
Thank you so much. Dee I woke up this morning to water leaking in my front yard going all the way down the street.
Goodwill Plumbing responded so quickly and Presley was really wonderful. He came and turned off the water and got the leak fixed and took care of everything.
I'm so grateful for Goodwill Plumbing and for the prompt service that Presley offered and I would highly recommend this business. I have used Goodwill Plumbing numerous time for my rental property, at my home and even recommended them to my in-laws to have a hot water heater replaced.
My hot water heater recently sprung a leak causing water damage to my home. Goodwill Plumbing came out and replaced my hot water heater for a cost of $1200.00.
The plumber left the old hot water heater in my garage as the construction workers were here at the same time. The construction was completed and the water heater was buried in my garage where I was physically unable to access it.
I called Goodwill Plumbing 10 days ago and asked for them to remove the old water heater they left. The male on the phone took my address and said they would come and get it.
I got help to move it outside my fenced yard so it was easily accessible. Fast forward a week.
The old hot water heater is still sitting on the corner of my house where I had help moving it too. I called Goodwill yesterday afternoon to inquire a timeframe for the pick-up.
The same male got on the line and wanted to argue with me about who's responsibility it was to remove the hot water heater stating the construction company should have taken it. Wrong answer!!!! I PAID YOU $1200.00 of my hard earned money for the replacement and removal of the old one.
The hot water heater is still sitting on the side of my house waiting to be picked up by Goodwill Plumbing. I usually support hometown businesses, however I would not recommend them because they do not follow through with there guarantee's.
Beware!!! They need help with there customer service. You just lost a reliable and previously satisfied customer and I WILL pass this on to family and friends.
we were having trouble with hot water. Called and they came out same day to check water heater.
The young man who came was polite and was wearing a clean uniform. He looked at the water heater and said the pilot had gone out.
He showed my husband how to fix the problem in case it happened again and made sure it was working. Said if it kept happening to call and they would replace the valve.
He was there about 15min and there was no charge. I have Goodwill plumbing for years and have always gotten great service.
Hats off to Robert. He knows how to work and how to solve issues ASAP.
He was straight to the point and completed the job on the day he said it'd be done. Thank you Goodwill and Robert.
Goodwill has come out a number of times to rentals we have way out in North Edwards, CA when not many other plumbers will. Not only will they come out in a fairly timely manner, but they can usually get the job done quickly.
Last week, one of my tenants stopped up their toilet. Rico came out and quickly and easily had it fixed in just a blink of an eye.
Even those tenants who complain about most workers didn't complain about Rico. They even said how professional he handled the situation.
The office staff answers with cheerful voices and is helpful scheduling as quickly as possible, or patching me through to whoever worked on my problem, so I can be informed about exactly what is going on without actually being there. I would say compared to most, this company is very cooperative and easy to work with, no attitudes, or problems explaining what they need to do or what they have done, whatever the case may be.
They gave us an appointment and then came 4 hours late. Then they said they will get the parts.
Later we get a call saying they will be back at a later date after an estimate. Don't waste your time here.
We contacted several different plumbing companies, and Goodwill Plumbing was the only one willing and able to help us right away. They not only make themselves available, but they get the job done right! Henry has come by twice so far to help us with our many fixes and upgrades at our new place, and we couldn't be happier with his services.
We highly recommend Goodwill Plumbing and will surely be calling on them in the future. Many thanks to Rico for saving me money and my mind! He's extremely knowledgeable and honest! Will definitely ask him to help me in the future...sorry, Rico! Thank you Goodwill Plumbing for your excellent service.
My water pressure regulator went out and i had close to no pressure in my house. I called at 10am on a Saturday and Rico was at my house by noon!! Had my water pressure replaced and fixed in a couple hours.
I cant believe ive lived with this pressure problems for so many years. Thank you Rico and Goodwill fir you quick response, good price and great service.
Beware of the negative reviews. The name should be "Badwill Plumbing".
I spoke to "Ray" to follow up on an issue that was not apparent after they serviced a water leak. The leak was stopped, but the plumber likely caused another plumbing issue.
A broken pvc pipe was left at the scene. When I called, "Ray" would not take responsibility for this newly discovered issue, but would charge for another service call.
In fact, when I said that would not be an unfair resolution, he hung up on me. Clearly, the bad reviews are inline with their business ethics.
P.S. For the owners - you will not be getting any future business from me, or otherwise.
Hi my neighbor recommended goodwill plumbing and they were great I called and they came the same day and fixed my shower nozzle the price was great and they were fast and on time. I would highly recommend this business they are my go to place for plumbing for future.
We had a plumbing emergency of a burst pipe in our slab. We called first thing in the morning and they arrived within an hour.
They quickly assessed the problem and came up with an affordable solution that didn't involve jackhammering up the slab. They got the work all wrapped up in the afternoon and we had hot water again.
called goodwill yesterday, they arrived at two this afternoon, robert Kurtz jumped on the problem like a duck on a June bug and finished it so quickly he would make a fast freight take a side road. Great service thanks to ray the owner and Robert the repairman.
Must be related to Charlie and Gloria Kurtz, two fine persons with whom I graduated from avhs in 1962 or Tom Kurtz from whom we bought a nice Buick years ago. Fine families.
I highly recommend Goodwill Plumbing. I originally contacted another plumber who goes to my church.
He advised he was completely backed up, but he said Goodwill Plumbing was the only other plumber he would trust. Brian Mendoza showed up, he was very knowledgeable, he quickly identified the issue, and fixed it.
He demonstrated expertise, and professionalism, and the pricing was fair. I will definitely call them again for any plumbing needs.
We had an outdoor faucet break and we had to turn the water off to the house. We were without water on a Saturday night so a little anxious.
Goodwill Plumbing was able to send someone out to repair the break on Sunday. We appreciate the customer service and being able to resume everyday activities.
Thanks agsin Excellent Service!! I have used them several times on my rentals. Always honest and fair priced.
They always show up fast. Best plumber I have found yet! One of their technicians was extremely rude and stormed out without doing anything.
He then lied to their office about what happened. I use Old Republic and told them what happened.
They were very nice and reported Goodwill to the department that handles claims. I strongly recommend using anyone but Goodwill Plumbing...
they don't believe in "Goodwill " I tried calling plumbers in the area. Not one of them returned my call.
Then I remembered seeing a Goodwill Plumbing van in the area. So I called them and much to my surprise they were ready to send someone out immediately! Henry arrived got to work and fixed my leaky faucet! I will use them again! Such prompt service.
Satisfied customer. Great Experience! After receiving a very high bid from another company , I called Goodwill in hopes of finding a better price, and not only did they come out quickly, they were very reasonable in their pricing, friendly, professional and were done in less than an hour! As a Realtor in the Antelope Valley for many years, I have dealt with many service companies...
and this one impressed me! I will recommend this plumbing company to my friends, family and clients from now on! BEWARE - Goodwill (NOT) Plumbing was referred to us by a realtor friend. I'll make this short and to the point.
They must thrive on work done on new construction or flips as in cases like those they pretty much won't get a call back, as the owner is unknown. As a homeowner for over 30 years, the experience with them is one I won't forget.
No itemized bills ("we'll get it to you", they didn't), billed for parts not used and work not done. Unprofessional, owner (Raymond) does not have a "goodwill" policy, he won't even call his customers back.
We left over 10 messages, spoke with his minions, but no call back. We had to call another contractor and plumber to fix the mess Goodwill left us.
Running pipes, broken stems, grease on the cleaned carpet and an inaccurate estimate that cost us to demolish part of a new shower to repair the damage. Do not recommend ! They charged me $99 to come out and check for a leak in my back yard.
He was literally there for 5 minutes! No equipment or anything. He BS and said they charge less then all other companies.
Little did he know I had scheduled a second company for free! Go with a different company they charge $65 service fee, or they waive it. Fantastic business.
Quick response. Always fair and never taken advantage of.
They got the job done! Goodwill Plumbing was recommended by a friend. The guy who was recommended no longer works there.
Someone else came out but quit looking for the slab leak and handed it off to someone else. He worked hard to find the leak.
We discussed a price and the solution. He was to come back the next day, but didn't show up until after 2:00 pm after I made several phone calls.
He rushed to get the job done, took short cuts so that the job looked unprofessional and a huge mess to clean up. He didn't do part of what he said he would.
There are holes cut in walls in my closet, the bathroom, two bedrooms, and the garage. Now I need to pay someone to fix all of the drywall.
He will be out to shorten the pipe and make it look more professional, but I was disappointed that a supervisor wouldn't come to see the job or even talk to me on the phone. They came out for a simple shower pan leak.
But first cut out a huge hole in my patio and never fixed the problem and left the hole exposed. They never bothered to patch it! Totally unprofessional and would never recommend this company even to my enemies.
No stars! Beware: Always get a second opinion if you can. Staff seemed nice but they stated I had way more damage than I actually did.
Called another company price was not even as close to the extreme amount that was estimated. To top it off the problem was not even from a pipe they suggested due to no sound test.
Goodwill Plumbing is a great plumbing company just had them come and fix some Plumbing work on my mobile home the serviceman was Rico very nice and efficient highly recommended thanks for your good work After an unethical plumbing company tried to rip me off, I contacted Goodwill. We had been out of a water heater for nearly a week with the delays of the other company.
Within three hours, Goodwill was at my house with the proper water heater! In two hours after arriving, the job was completed and water was heating! The price they quoted for heater and installation was honored without any extra hidden fees. The plumber assigned had all the necessary parts and skills and was pleasant to speak with.
He clearly explained how to read the new water heater LED controls, how to light the pilot, and how to take care of our new heater in order to get the best value. I highly recommend this company and will be using them for my next plumbing job.
-Ron J., Valencia, CA Do not use this business! The owner is beyond rude! The plumber that came out was here probably 10 minutes, fixed a hose bib and presented me with a bill for $119! When I called the owner & asked why i wasn't informed of the $99 they charge just to show up, his reply was why didn't I ask. He just became more rude and combative after that.
Talk about a condescending ahole! This guy needs to change the name of his business to Rude As FK Plumbing! DON'T USE! ROBERT came out to my property after my home warranty called Goodwill Plumbing for job, to repair a damaged supply line. As a new homeowner, I had no idea what to do next or who to call, but ROBERT guided me every step of the way while always being super professional.
He provided a referral to do the restoration/repair part of the job, and even waited until the restoration company got there. I also had an issue with my heater which he tried to help me with.
Robert went above and beyond. He even gave my house a quick inspection before restoration company arrived.
THANK YOU SO MUCH ROBERT and GOODWILL PLUMBING. You guys were great at following up with me and maintaining communication.
Thank you again, Goodwill Plumbing. As I was on my way out of home to go to work, I spotted a leak that needed immediate help.
I called Goodwill Plumbing, they gave me the times they would be there and worked around my schedule. The problem was found and solved fast.
Excellent service, on time, problem fixed in about 20 minutes, reasonable rates,FOUR STARS, would use again!!! The Goodwill Plumbing company was dispatched to my home by my home warranty service company. I had a water leak that caused damage to a ceiling area on the ground floor of my 2 story home.
A worker, (I won't call him a professional plumber) showed up with a large company work truck. Good thing I noticed the clearly marked company truck because he did not even bother to identify himself until I asked.
As I allowed him to enter my home, I told him we had just installed a new hardwood floor (which at this point was only 2 days new). He proceeded to the second floor master bath and inspected the drain by putting water around the seal.
At this point he stated the drain was leaking and he would need to call my home warranty company for approval to repair it. He went outside for approximately 10 minutes and when he returned, he had an electric saw in his hand.
He proceeded to cut two access holes in the ceiling where the leak had showed itself. He removed a large piece of drywall and just dropped it onto the unprotected hardwood floor.
I immediately reminded him that the floor was brand new and that he needed to take care. He was unapologetic and was indifferent to my concern.
I noticed the drywall had marred the finish where he had dropped it. He again went outside and I took the opportunity to lay down some construction paper the flooring people had left behind in an effort to protect the floor from this careless worker.
He proceeded to work through the access holes (by the way, did I mention his flashlight was his cellphone)? Approximately 30 minutes later, he showed me a piece of copper pipe he had cut off at an elbow joint and told me that the elbow was the source of the leak and the repair was completed. He replaced the elbow joint with a plastic piece of tubing.
I asked him about the leak he had initially detected at the drain. He told me not to worry about it.
WHAT? The very next morning, when I went downstairs. I immediately noticed water leaking through the same area of the ceiling at an alarming rate.
I looked through the access hole (using a real flashlight) and noticed the water was traveling from above the pipe he had cut and supposedly repaired. He apparently saw water dripping at the elbow not realizing the water had been dripping along the pipe from above the elbow.
This employee needs to find a different line of work, (maybe as a shoelace re-tipper). Do yourself a favor, use a different plumbing company, I will today.
Another contractor broke my hot water valve to my washing machine and had to turn off my main water. He called out Goodwill plumbing to replace the valve so I could turn my water back on.
I was told they would be over between 4-6 pm. 6 pm rolled around and no plumber.
I called them and was told they would be there within another two hours. No apology.
I would expect that if you were going to be hours late to a home with no water you would at least call and let them know. When they arrived they proceeded to cut out a square in my drywall without even giving me a heads up.
They cut out my water hammer arresting valve and installed some cheap standard valve and said it will work. It's not what was there before but now I have a nice cheap valve.
They just pushed the drywall square they removed back into place and they were off. When I went outside I found the cover to my water main just laying off to the side.
Unimpressed with the lack of communication and not replacing my valve with what I had before. Not a horrible experience but not one I would recommend to others.
Robert helped us all day as we tried to fix the problem ourselves when he just have well could have said no way pay me or I'm not helping. Not the case AT ALL.
He helped us to the point where in the end we knew we needed a real plumber. He came out within 35 minutes and did the job of having to basically replace an entire copper pipe.
He saudered and checked for leaks all in just little over an hour. So happy with this company and will use them every time.
We called them about a water leak. They miss diagnosed the leak, which caused 1000 dollars of damage to our home, then overcharged our credit card the fee that was originally agreed upon and Written clearly on our receipt.
Fraudulent. STAY AWAY! Initially, I thought Evan was very competent and experienced.
He fixed the original leak we had from electrolisis. However after he left my husbsnd found another leak where the new pipe attached to the old.
We weren't sure why Evan didn't replace the entire thing to begin with. When we called the co we experienced sub par phone manners but Evan did return shortly to replace the rest of the pipe at no extra charge.
That night we noticed a considerable drop in water pressure so we called agsin the next morning. The owner said he would call Evan to ask him about it and 3 hours later I hadn't heard back so I called again.
The owner was surprised Evan hadn't shown up yet and said he'd give him a call. The owner called me back shortly after and said Evan would be there in about 40 min.
Evan returned in about that time or longer and he adjusted the water pressure mostly solving the problem. Neither Evan nor the man I presume is the owner have the best customer relation skills but I am grateful he came back twice until the problems were solved.
He also said he charged me less than the parts cost but I never saw the receipt. He also told us at the time of billing they went paperless and would be emailing a receipt to me.
24 hours later I still did not have a receipt so I asked him about it and he said he would be emailing me. 1st I got a call asking what would be a good time to come for repair(oh yes, this work order was through property management), I told them after 3 I would back to the house.
I hung up the phone and just about to leave when my son said someone was at the door. It was the service person.
I let him in, showed him where the leak was and also asked why there would debris coming from a faucet. He told me the aerator insert was old and needed to be replaced and he would check to see if he had one.
He identified where the leak came from and said pipe and lines were old and needed replacing,ok no problem. He went to truck with part for faucet I went on about my other business.
I had been in the backyard , when I came back in I noticed he wasn't in the house,my son told me he had gone and that I should hear from management in two days if they approve recommendations. I caught the guy outside and asked what was going on and he reiterated what he's told my son.
This was the month of March. Later that evening when I returned home, I turned on faucet and water shot everywhere (WTH) I hadn't has this problem before.
I took the insert off and looked at it, that idiot didn't replace part, instead he cut a line into it. I waited two days before buying the part myself.
I talked to management this month about something unrelated and then asked what was going on with repair, they said they were unaware it hadn't been done and furthermore they were charged 125 for the call, I will end with this, management and GWP are full of shit. I told management about faucet and that I had bought the piece so water wouldn't be everywhere and that I would deduct from rent...they told me I wasn't allowed to do that and that I would have to pay the 3.80 with my rent...lmao.
I'll just put in another work order for the faucet and take the part back. Nothing has been said about the initial leak either.'''.
