Review and analyze now for company The Drain Guys and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''A few weeks ago we had a small leak/drip in our basement ceiling. I called a plumber and they came out and "fixed" it after telling me they were experienced with galvanized pipe.
A week after that their fix failed and poured water in our basement ceiling. That same day I messaged The Drain Guys and they were quick to respond and set up an appointment.
When Daniel came to the house I showed him where the leak was and the work the previous plumber completed. He laughed at the poor work and took the time to walk me through why the fix had failed.
He then told me what it would take to fix the leak and walked through the steps to repair/replace galvanized pipe. He provided a fair quote and broke down the pricing so I understood what I was paying for.
Daniel then completed the work and also walked me through his concerns about our water heater. We knew our water heater was on its last leg when we moved in so we took the opportunity to schedule a replacement date.
I was so impressed with his work on the leak that I immediately scheduled the water heater plus some work on our condensate pump from our HVAC system. Again, he we was thorough, honest, and made sure I asked questions if I had any.
He even recommended and called a water mitigation company for me that worked through my homeowners insurance. It was full service from beginning to end.
The leak is completely gone and the water heater is working like a dream. I can't recommend Daniel and The Drain Guys enough and I already passed along a card to my neighbor.
They are the only company we will go to in the future. Came out for a free estimate for a outdoor spigot that wasn't flowing.
Turns out there was a shutoff valve we weren't aware of in our rental. Plumber showed us the location and tightened it up a bit to prevent leaks.
Super prompt and professional, would definitely recommend! Fast response, professional troubleshooting, and was patient with my questions. Offered different options for repair and replacement.
Next day appointment - called to make sure of time. Two techs showed up on time and put in new disposal for way less than other quotes! Good service.
No complaints. Prompt service.
Service person was on time. Did not have to wait long until the plumbing was repaired.
The service person was courteous. Thrilled with our experience with The Drain Guys.
-Scheduled service next day and on the weekend. - Prompt - Although up-front quote seemed somewhat high, the job required 3 hours more than what was estimated.
The clog was over 50 feet from the drain and required extensive work to reach it. In fact, we had a different plumbing service out several months ago and clearly did not fix the problem.
- Kept us informed throughout the process Careful to minimize dirt and spills. Ask for Mike.
We will be using The Drain Guys again whenever necessary. The Drain Guys is the best kept secret for pipe replacement.
I went through two crummy plumbers who charged for camera work and didn't know what was going on with my drain. Called The Drain Guys and was glad I did.
This team had master plumber Jay, along with his team, Parker and the rest of the crew to correctly solve the issue. The team provided insight on each part of the job, arrived promptly and even worked late.
Job itself was extremely clean and was smart in terms of the geography of where my pipe needed to be. I now feel safe with a long term pipe in my property.
I highly recommend this crew for your plumbing needs. Excavation can be a dirty job but these Michaelangelos made it look like a work of art.
I was struggling to find the location of a leak for about a week, and submitted an online request mid-day on a Sunday. By Monday morning, Drain Guys sent over a crew who spent all day here chasing a clog out and then identifying the location of a leaky pipe.
Chris and his assistant were professional, kind and thorough. I am delighted to receive such great service at a fair price on short notice.
Will certainly use them again whenever I have a need for a plumber. They gave me prompt service for a leak in the main water shut off valve.
Maybe took an hour for the repair and getting parts. Excellent pricing with one rate per job.
Gave me estimates for other work to be performed at a later date. Professional courtesy was given 100% of the time.
They will be my number one choice for any emergency service need. I had an amazing experience with this company! They were able to quickly get me scheduled to address my piping and pressure issues.
Chris came to my house and was able to quickly assess the issue, provide honest guidance and explained every step, including making sure he had the allotted time to come back and finish the job. He returned to days later, went above and beyond with all of his work and made sure I was satisfied.
He even went ahead and addressed another issue that I have been deciding on doing for a few years. I cannot recommend this company enough.
I felt the cost was very fair and honest and Chris did an incredible job. Called the Drain Guys for plumbing issue.
They have been great to work with and solved the problem quickly I needed exterior drain line work. The technicians who performed the very hard work were excellent.
"Seem to know well the adage- measure twice do once, measure once, due twice." They showed me via video camera the work as tin progressed. They cleaned up very well.
I have peace of mind now about my exterior line. The company get knocked down a star for two reasons.
First, the person who came out to do the inspection was high pressure. He was looking around at my other fixtures in the basement looking for other things to sell me.
Second, is scheduling. I was told it would most likely be a one day job.
The techs 15 minutes late to the 8-10 window. The job definitely took two days which led to hard feelings from my boss when I needed to take a second day off.
Still I would recommend this company. Excellent work.
Quick and responsive. Good customer service.
Would use them again for sure. Initially The Drain Guys were extremely communicative about scheduling all the way through diagnosing the issue.
Unfortunately, I received this text from then current tenant of the unit. I've called and left messages for someone to come out and fix the issue but this has not been resolved.
Take a moment to imagine the internal stress created when the guest toilet started malfunctioning two days before my entire family came to town to stay for the Holidays- After my husband tried a few, "internet quick fix suggestions", I found myself riddled with anxiety, loading up Yelp Projects, while we discussed, "how much are we able to spend vs just putting up 'out of order' and dealing with it after the Holiday season" Yelp Projects was a fantastic service- we were able to simply post a write up of the issue, our location, our availability, and our urgency- and businesses began to reach out with options- Connecting with the Drain Guys eased a large majority of my anxiety right from the start- a friendly hello, a reassuring let's talk out options & next steps, and no pressure commitment. Drain Guys explained there could be a number of issues that led to our style of malfunction, they offered to come out to do a consultation for free, determine what they think is going on, give us price quotes, and we can either fix it right then & there (they'd book enough time to get it done), or take our time to consider options (& they won't mind coming back when we're ready).
Most other competitors quoted consultation fees ranging from $60-120, just to show up, look it over, then tell us next steps (some stated the consultation fee would go towards the overall cost of service & some it was just a required add-on). We opted for Drain Guys, not just because they were a free option, but because of their ease of talking us through the appointment, without making us feel obligated to get out our wallet before we get any information.
When Offried arrived, I was at work, and my husband handled the appointment. I felt this was best, as I stressed over our "up to $1000" get it done now cap.
My husband texted me "oof"..."that bad?!," I replied. Nope, turns out our toilet wasn't broken.
When we bought our house, the old owners had a stopper on the tank, allowing less water to fill, since they never used the guest bathroom, but since we use it frequently the toilet was never getting the quality flush it needed- desperate for deeper waters. Offried could have easily called us dumb, deep sighed at driving all the way out there, and left in a huff, but my husband said he kindly walked him through the different settings on our toilet, helped re-set all the bowls, gave advice about 'stages of water' in toilet life, and also spent time looking at the pipes, giving suggestions on the best cleaning agents based on the 'years' of our piping.
After the appointment, my husband told me I better do a great Yelp review, while also posting Offried's card to our fridge saying if anyone ever asks for a plumber we are a recommendation resource. So here is the requested epic Yelp review.
Thank you for being a pleasure to work with-thank you for hand holding that stressful, "something is wrong call"-and being a delightful service. I've already seen a few "looking for" on facebooks, where I've sent photos of the business card.
Must use! Came out cause my toilet wobbles and it's one of those fancy heavy European toilets. Pulled it, added some shims, and replaced the wax seal.
They were very professional, on time, and cleaned up after themselves well. Would call them again if I needed any plumbing work again.
We have used this firm several times and they are true professionals who are extremely skilled at their jobs. Their pricing is reasonable and their communication is excellent, as is their availability.
Strongly recommended! 5 star service! We contacted The Drain Guys and received a quote and scheduled an appointment very quickly. They showed up on time (on a snow day!) and completed the work without any issues.
Parker and Jay were extremely professional and so helpful with all of our questions. Will definitely be repeat customers.
I highly recommend them!!! The Drain Guys are now my default plumber. I've had a recurring issue the past couple of years.
I had two other visits -- each provided what turned out to be a temporary fix. Parker, the plumber who came to my house, walked me through everything they were doing and engaged me in the diagnosis / solution.
I'm much more confident that we will finally solve this problem! So thank you for your friendly demeanor and willingness to involve me in the process. Richard from the Drain Guys arrived shortly after I reached out via Yelp.
He helped us fix several issues around the house including replacing two toilets and fixing a leaking pipe in our crawl space. The initial consult lasted less than an hour and he was back the next morning with all the supplies and the entire project completed within just a few hours! He was ready to answer any questions we had and the products he installed are of great quality and high efficiency! Buh-bye cotton candy toilets!! We'll use this company again in the future.
We used Yelp projects and got a couple responses within minutes. It was important to us to have a verified license plumber come assess our situation and fix it, so that's how we chose this company.
Technician was responsive and timely and helped work with our schedule despite the 4-hour arrival window. Great repair and would choose them again.
Thumbs up experience by Dan who got our toilet back in action in no time. Will use again.
I called the drain guys yesterday (Saturday) and received an appointment for the next day (Sunday). Parker and Payton arrived during the front half of the appointment window.
They were able to fix my clog issue in 5 minutes after I had had another plumber out here for two hours with no luck. They were efficient, communicative, helpful and really went above and beyond to make sure our issue was fixed and all our questions were answered.
The pricing was fair and included a lot of tools I have found that other plumbers upcharge for. They even answered other questions unrelated to this issue.
I will never have to search for a plumber again and we are so happy with the work they did. I had the worse nightmare ahh homeowner can have.
I heard my Main Water Line was leaking. WSSC as you can imagine was terrible and just turned my water off and told me good luck.
I got several quotes and the Jay from the Drain Guys beat them all. They came the next day and replaced my MWL in one day and had me up and running by nighttime.
WSSC had to come out and replace the curvestop because it was busted and they even had a leak on there own side. Rich and Nick stayed and helped me go back and forth with WSSC even though they didn't have too.
I really appreciate them and can see why people go with the drain guys. They are very professional and Rich is extremely knowledgeable and explains his craft very well so others can understand what is going on and why they are doing what they are doing.
If you have any plumbing needs make sure to look for these guys! Look forward to working with them in the future. We had a leak in a Saturday afternoon.
We requested a quote from 5 people. Jay responded right away.
Rich did a great job and continued to provide us guidance which helped us navigate related repairs with insurance. On a Sunday, one of my tenants reporteda leak in the basement of the house they were renting.
I called three of the big plumbing companies in the DC metro area and got phone service messaging for two of the companies, even though the ads for these companies say 24 hr service. The only company to respond to my call with a live person was the Drain Guys.
The other companies eventually called me back 4- 6 hours later or the next day. The Drain Guys, worked to schedule a time with my tenant and kept me in the loop as to the estimate and of course the final payment.
This company is a joy to work with. After 30 plus yrs of coordinating vendors for repairs on rental properties this company respects its customers and works with its clients.
Something those other companies have forgotten. It's looks like I've found myself a new plumbing company.
I highly recommend this company. The Drain Guys treated us with a lot of care.
They were willing to come out and find us a unit the same night. The tech that came out also explained the situation and work to be done thoroughly.
Once we were ready to move forward they came and got the job done in the same day! Thanks guys! Will definitely recommend and ask for help next time again. I called on July 1st to request an estimate for installing a water softener.
The tech told me the other quotes I received were unreasonable and expensive. Suggested I test the water first, charged me $200 for the sample but forgot to take the sample back to his truck, came back to pick it up.
About 10 days later I reach out only to be told the sample was lost again. On July 14th a different tech came out to grab another sample...I let a week go by and I hear nothing about the results so I call back to check.
The tech I was communicating with told me he'd reach out with the results, never calls me back. Then sends me an email with the results which I interpreted for myself and researched before calling him again.
He answers a few days later saying that he'd send an estimate but over the phone tells me a general price, it's super expensive...$5200 for installing their brand of softener...still hasn't sent any estimates or breakdown of the cost if I were to provide my own system. Maybe it's me, but I don't think they are interested in my business.
It was a waste of time having to chase them down for something so basic and shouldn't cost more than $2000. Excellent group to work with! We were having issues with our 20-some year old sewage grinder, which was installed by another company (the charges a lot and couldn't even pinpoint the original issues), called the E-One grinder.
It was giving us lots of problems and the alarm kept setting off -- which if you've heard it, is quite alarming and loud for neighbors. Needless to say, the Drain Guys new exactly what the problem was and we ended up pulling this grinder and installing a top notch Liberty one to replace.
Every time they came out they were on time, super communicative (especially appreciate the consistent email updates on timing -- never had to bug them or follow up which is rare to come by with contractors!), friendly, and fair-priced. Highly recommend them and would use them again!! Highly recommend The Drain Guys, they were able to get me converted from a natural gas water heater to a hybrid within 2 days.
They did excellent work and were very communicative. The Drain Guys (Jay in particular) was ready to answer a plumbing emergency at a very short notice for my house in Martinsburg, WV (which is out of their typical service area).
I want to give them props and credit where it's absolutely due here. Any other plumber outside that area would've been very hesitant to be willing to take on a job at short-notice.
I would highly recommend if you have an urgent plumbing emergency. Chris, from The Drain Guys, did a great job of installing a laundry sink in my basement where there never was one.
He was on time and prepared. He explained what he was doing and why he was doing it.
He was a pleasure to work with. Thank you Chris and The Drain Guys! The team was great in communication and timeliness.
Mario was phenomenal in explaining what was going on and in doing the work. Everything was done professionally and with care.
Overall 10/10 would recommend or use again for a future project! The team replaced our old kitchen faucet and soap dispenser. Team came out quickly and was able to do the job in a timely manner.
Price was fair, but a little higher than other quotes. Wish I could give a NEGATIVE five stars.
Will NEVER use this company again. Horrible customer service and unwillingness to solve problems associated with abysmal service.
Amazing work by Parker, as always! We had a clogged toilet at work and he had it fixed in 30 minutes. Fast, efficient, and outstanding work! Will always recommend the drain guys! Would never consider hiring another company! The Drain guys are the best.
I'm a first time homebuyer and my water heater was leaking. I was able to call Jay and get someone in the next day.
Rich was very helpful and efficient when diagnosing the issue and installing the water heater. He was able to do it the same day and he walked me through the entire process.
He made sure he cleaned up any mess from his work and even tightened my faucet. He answered every question I had as well, which was helpful for me.
I found the company on Yelp and have had nothing but a great experience. They are prompt, reasonably priced, professional, and makes sure the job is complete before.
I highly recommend them for any plumbing needs, you will not be disappointed. Very responsive! I got a message within minutes and a crew out to help with my broken toilet the next day! Rich and Nick were professional and friendly! Not sure the going rate for toilet repairs, but the cost seemed pretty reasonable to me! Very prompt, but definitely ripped me off.
Charged me $800 to unclog a simple drain. Will not recommend to anyone.
Communicated well, gave a free estimate, met competing quote, and provided prompt service. This review is for a very sloppy sink installation (just look at the picture).
Would not expect professional quality from this company. They sent a highly unqualified technician that not only didn't install the sink properly, she damaged the counter in trying to get the sink to fit, so now we have a warped sink that's not sealed properly and can lead to water damage.
They did take $200 off the price when they saw how bad the work was, but that's not worth the horrible job and experience with this company, a few highlights: -they checked the new sink we bought and confirmed they can perform the sink installation and gave us a quote. -when they realized the sink doesn't fit during installation, they said they can cut the counter to make it fit.
I guess it's my mistake to trust a highly rated licensed and insured company when they say they can do something. -the technician had to leave for other jobs that day (totally understandable) but came back at 7:30pm and worked until midnight.
I appreciate the hard work but she obviously didn't know what she was doing. We did not feel safe to have someone working so late, and potentially raising a noise complaint from neighbors.
-she came back the next day with an experienced technician to finish the job. He saw the shoddy work and gave us a $200 discount.
There was a power issue for the garbage disposal and he advised we get an electrician to fix it first in case they need to cut drywall and will need a sink reinstallation again. -after we got the power issue fixed, I emailed him to see what they can do about the shoddy job.
He responded quickly but put all the blame on us and said we need a specialist. I'm not going to waste time with this company again.
Just trying to warn others. Really disappointing experience.
Was provided a 4 hour window, which is already pretty wide, but the plumber didn't arrive until 2 hours past this window. I understand things happen, but this is pretty disrespectful of my time taking off work to meet the guy.
I was quoted a pretty steep price, but couldn't turn him away since I had already lost an entire day waiting. The plumber then had to leave for parts and arrived back with the wrong part and had to go back again.
What should have been a 30 min fix took about 2 hours. Also beware they charge a 3% fee for credit cards, which is a little ridiculous when you're charging me hundreds of dollars.
To top it all off, the plumber left a mess in the bathroom and trash in my yard. These guys are incredible.
Not only are they smart, fantastic and efficient, but kind and responsive too. They were speedy in responding to our plumbing emergency.
They provided a quote and got the job done all within 72 hours And they kept us posted with texts, calls, and pictures along the way. They worked until late in the night to get the job done ahead of schedule.
And their prices are definitely fair. They even came out on a holiday for us.
Special shout out to Parker- I can't thank these guys enough! Will definitely be using them again if needed. Great service and value Jay responded within in a couple minutes of the request I have placed on Yelp.
The Drain Gays provided a VERY competitive proposal for the requested remodeling project - I have asked to relocate a kitchen sink drain pipe and install all the plumbing to prepare drain and water supply connections for washer and laundry tub in a new laundry room downstairs. Rich did all the requested work in a timely manner and cleaned and removed all debris from the work site after the work was done.
I would use them and again for any plumbing needs, for sure! Parker and Nick did a great job. We had original pipes rattling and humming throughout the house -- nick came and immediately identified the issues as corroded older pipes in the main water line.
He explained the possible options. Parker came the following week due to my schedule and needing special parts ordered and he installed the new pipes in a matter of an afternoon -- including removal of a water softener.
Parker was professional and clear and did a great job with the installation. Sure enough no more noise, rattling, or humming and our water pressure improved.
He also was going to write a report for WSSC since our outdoor key was broken. Great job.
One of four services that was referred by yelp. I appreciate their review and quote but I hired the company that I felt gave a more thorough explanation of the problem, a similar quote but a 12 month warranty on the work.
Rich did a fantastic job. His finished work was as perfect as humanly possible and far exceeded my expectations.
Higthly recommended Rich came over within about 12 hours of the request we placed on Yelp - on memorial day to boot! He diagnosed the problem quickly, went out a few times to make sure he got the exact right equipment that wouldn't break our pipes, and solved the problem in short order. For some reason we even got a discount for having the work done on memorial day.
I would definitely use them again. I had a leaky pipe.
Friendly and competent. Very prompt service.
I would use them again. They don't care about getting your business.
Initially super responsive. Placed an inquiry for an estimate and they got me in the next day 1-5 pm.
That's a pretty wide window. I get a text shortly after 1 saying they were 'a little backed up' and would be in touch 'shortly' to update me.
Fast forward to hour 3.5 of their 4 hour window and I have to reach out asking for an update. It's only then that 'a little behind' translates to 6:30 pm.
No thanks. The tech didn't seem too torn up by my cancel judging by his reply.
Another good experience with the Drain Guys. We moved a cold water pipe in the basement to another exterior wall and put in a new spigot.
Excellent quality and service at a fair price, A pleasant and well-intentioned 22 year old plumber failed to open a difficult drain after 2 hours and said he'd come back to finish the job when he could get the use of a more powerful router. He made it clear that he would be back to complete the job and we assumed we would pay him then.
He left, and we assumed we would hear from the Drain Guys but they did not call. When a week later I called to book a second job and to enquire about completing work on the drain, the manager rudely told me that his plumber had locked himself out, then rung our doorbell to bill us, and we had not answered.
He then accused us not paying for work done. However, we were not asked to do so as the job was not finished.
I was more than glad to pay but understood from the young plumber that he would return with the more powerful equipment, The same manager gave a 100% contradictory report saying my wife had answered and refused to let him in, which is not true, Besides, she is 80 years old and was recovering from surgery. Conclusion: the manager and dispatcher should not be dealing with the public.
He not only made false statements but was exceedingly rude. The young plumber was full of good intentions but did not complete the job.
I called the Drain Guys because the same young plumber had earlier done a successful job for me. But after this thoroughly unpleasant incident I would NEVER engage these "drain guys" again.
Their spokesman was rude, insulting and dishonest, and they did not complete the job for which we hired them. Rich and Nick installed a sump pump.
It was an all day job. They said the ground was mostly rock.
They stayed on task even with my grandson bugging them all day. My husband and I highly recommend them.
Looking forward to a dry basement in the future! Our storm drain was backing up (causing flooding into the basement) and Nick and Rich came out to deal with it -- they were excellent, very professional, communicated clearly about what the problem was and their plan for addressing it, got it all fixed fast, and gave us great advice on how to prevent it from happening again. I'm very glad we called them, and that the experience was so easy.
Parker and Payton were fantastic!! We called yesterday because we found a small leak in our basement ceiling, and got on the schedule for an appt in less than 24 hours. They called before their scheduled time to let me know a rough ETA, and then again when they were on their way.
As someone with two small kids, knowing the timeframe is hugely appreciated. They even got here at the very beginning of what we were scheduled for, so we weren't needing to wait around all day.
They were extremely professional and respectful, even making sure to wear the covers on their shoes (replacing them if they had to go out & back in). I loved their thoroughness to find the cause, as well as how informative they were about some other things they found along the way.
That was all really appreciated. The pricing was also very fair! We could not be happier with the experience; we'll definitely be a repeat customer and I'll be recommending them to everyone- 10/10! Responsive, fair and honest.
Came out next day and completed the job. Had to make an adjustment and they agreed to come back.
Seems like the type of place where employees are paid commission based on what they sell, not if they do a good job. Someone came out and quoted me $600 to replace a toilet without evening opening the lid of the tank.
I went to Home Depot and bought a $15 enzyme treatment that cleared the clog. Let me tell you.
The Drain Guys was a needed call. I had my home gutted remolded 2016/2017 here in NE DC; Eckington, and had my basement turned into an efficiency apartment with front entrance added from sidewalk.
I never heard the sump pump running in the unit before. Now I'm finally ready to start renting out the unit and noticed that the special plug, GFCI outlet, the one with red/green light that's usually in your bathrooms, kitchen, etc., or near a water source was always red.
Also, there was water in the sump pit. I plugged the sump pump to another outlet and the water gushed on the outside which is good.
But then, I only got a humming from the sum pump afterwards. Clogged from all that debris that was in the pit? I sent a request on Yelp and several plumbers didn't do sump pumps, another did, but their reviews had me a little nervous.
Jay, owner of The Drain Guys responded to my request and says he could have some one the next day, Monday, between 12 - 4pm. I okayed that but asked they if his person could come earlier would be better.
Well, the next morning, Chris called me and says he could be at my home around 10:15! And sure enough, while I did a little chore near by, Chris called around 10:15 and was at my home. Chris explained everything in detail and then gave me my options.
He thinks the sump pump cord is triggering the GFCI outlet (safety feature) with the red light, to trip, but when he plugged in a large drill like tool into the outlet, the tool didn't trigger the outlet . He says I could have an electrician look at the GFCI outlet and see if it's indeed an issue and maybe getting it replace.
If sump pump works with the new outlet, then good. If still an issue with the pump, could be something wrong with the cord on the sump pump and I would need a new sump pump.
He says the $200 I paid for the diagnoses, etc., would go towards the sump pump even if I didn't choose to get a new one now; just to call them and they will honor the $200. I will see if I can buy a new GFCI outlet or get an electrician check out the outlet first if need be.
The Drain Care Guys are getting my call again and for any other work for my home for sure. BTW, just got a request from a potential tenant to look at the unit is reason why I'm checking up on things now in the unit.
:o) Offried was very responsive, professional, and helpful. I had minor toilet repair work done, and it was done quickly and at a reasonable rate.
I plan to call The Drain Guys if I have other plumbing issues. Came immediately when our main line backed up.
Rich explained everything patiently and was effective in fixing the issue within an hour. He also did a camera investigation and wrote up a report that he shared with DC water, showing the issue was on the side of the city.
Overall fixed the issue and price was better than what others quoted as well After checking with several other plumbers, The Drain guys came out and investigated what others said was the problem with tub gurgling when we flushed upstairs toilet. The identified problem quickly, replaced and corrected flow of bath drain and replaced tub stopper.
Very friendly techs who always arrived when they said they would. My hot water heater started leaking, put a request for quote through Yelp and The Drain Guys responded very quickly.
Asked how soon they could come out, and their turn around time was really fast (especially since it's a holiday weekend). New water heater was installed quickly and economically.
I would highly recommend The Drain Guys! Our tubs in both of our bathrooms were draining slowly. Rich from The Drain Guys arrived promptly at the beginning of the time window, and was able to fix the issues with both tubs within about half an hour.
Very reliable service and a pleasure to work with. Definitely would recommend him.
I had two toilets replaced. The two guys that came were awesome and took care of everything for me (can't remember names...I think it was Parker & Caleb) One flange had a issue after they removed the old toilet and they replaced it and spent a good 3 hours here.
They were very friendly and respectful. I hired them to put a p trap and that was 2 weeks ago.
The p trap is leaking and they cannot seem to stop it. I place a new cabinet under the sink that is now ruined.
They are supposed to come back out for the 5th time to fix it so I will update this if it is fixed. So an update on this: The person who came to fix what they did came back and was unable to fix the problem.
The p trap still leaks and now my cabinet is ruined. Called to ask them about it and person "owner" said they can come fix it for an additional $285 which was the original cost.
When asked why additional can't for what they did wrong was told because you left a bad review. In the end he said "take it of leave it" just in case you are considering them I say "leave it".
Not worth the shadyness of a company. Fast, responsive, and fixed our leaking issue on the same day.
Price is reasonable. Recommend Called on a Friday and he came out on a Saturday.
Assessed what was wrong and came back Sunday to fix it. Very satisfied.
We had a great experience with The Drain Guys. They were responsive and were at our home within 48 hours of our initial request.
Rich was very helpful and resolved both of our problems quickly. He explained what he thought was going on with each and helped us understand the situation.
This is the second time we have worked with The Drain Guys and we strongly recommend them. I called Jay when my dad told me they had a problem with their toilet.
I sent him pictures and Jay knew exactly what was needed. He scheduled his guy to go to my dad's house two days later with the exact parts needed and fixed it all that day.
Highly recommend Jay and his team!!! Water heater went up the day before and the drain guys Nick and Rich came the next day. They were friendly, fast and efficient.
Explained what went wrong and walked me through the new system. Would totally use the Drain guys in the future! I've used the Drain Guys multiple times, and they have always been incredibly responsive and helpful.
To be fair they did the job right and the price was fair. The job took about triple the estimated time .
Everyone has a bad day so I am okay with how long it took. My problem is it took so long I had to leave before job was done .
I texted him I need to wait until I get home which maybe around 9:30 pm to make sure it was done correctly. I stated I will call first thing in the morning to pay.
I honestly just didn't want to deal with it after a long day and considering extra time it took wasn't 100% it was done correctly . He texted back a message that he has video showing all joints are not leaking and expects payment that night regardless of when I get back.
It was like I am dealing with the mob and need payment tonight or else. What is wrong with your business that payment can't be paid next day ? Won't use again .
This team made an easy time of securing plumbing services. Jay, the Estimator, is personable, informative and didn't try to upsell.
The quotes were reasonable enough that I could say yes. John came as scheduled with an easy going demeanor.
Did the work as promised. I will be using Drain Guys in the future.
Great experience. I had multiple small projects, some easier than others.
The guys were knowledgeable and accommodating when the original plans didn't work as planned. The work was everything I could have asked for...
Our bathtub drain lever got broken, and we called The Drain Guys for help. They looked at the drain lever, and said they can try to fix it for $315, but don't guarantee the results.
They asked us to sign a paper that we will pay for the attempt, even if it is unsuccessful. The "attempt" lasted less than 5 minutes, they said there is nothing they can do and asked us for the full price! I think it's highly unprofessional, given how long it took them to actually understand if they could fix it or not.
They even didn't try to make a temporary fix, like closing the drain lever hole, instead they said we could do it ourselves. I would not recommend using their services to anyone.
I called the Drain Guys and Jay answered the phone right away. They came the same day and they sent Parker Douglas for a clogged drain in my basement.
He realized that my sewer line had a break in it. He also took the time to review the camera view with me to explain and actually show me the problems.
He thoroughly discussed with me all of the options to repair the problems. We decided that he would need to dig up the pipe and do a full replacement.
Parker and Jay were very easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. The job went very smooth and they did an excellent job.
I highly recommend the Drain Guys for all your plumbing needs. I will definitely call them back should i experience anyfuture issues.
Thank you Parker for being the consummate professional. If I could give them no stars, I would.
I am elderly on a fixed income. I couldn't get an estimate over the phone to replace my water filter under my kitchen sink, and they were available to come out first, so they did.
The plumber was covered in dried mud. I had a faucet that I had purchased to be installed and he installed it for $250.
Now my soap dispenser doesn't pump. The real reason I called was to replace the water filter under the kitchen sink.
I told Parker because of my limited income I couldn't pay more than $500 for one. He said they run about $500 to thousands.
He said maybe he could do it for less, but not sure. So he said he took three water tests.
I wrote a check for $500 because they charge over 3 percent fee for credit cards. I waited several days, maybe a week before I contacted them about the test results.
They aren't as quick getting back to people who follow up as much as when you first ask for help. He said it wasn't back yet, but would keep me informed.
He didn't. The next week was the same response.
The next week, Parker called and read me the results and the water was fine. Ok, so now what do I do with the deposit for the filter? I was suspicious that Ihadbeen double charged for the test because they sent me a quote for a filter I no longer needed for $650 less a deposit of $125.
$125??? The contract said correctly that I had paid $250. Several back and forth later and the quote was finally changed to reflect the $250 I had paid for the test/deposit.
But the wording in the paragraph above the numbers still said the $125 deposit. So clearly, they usually charge $125, not $250.
Anyway, so as not to waste my deposit, I thought I would still ask to get a filter for just Chlorine. They would not change the filter cost of $650.
And the quote is sent as an attachment to my email so I can't save it to show as proof of anything. At least, I don't know how.
But to continue, the boss said they only install one kind. After Parker talked to the boss, the boss said if they installed any other kind, there would be no warranty.
They won't work with you or bend to your needs. It was over a month between the time they took the water test and the final time I spoke to them.
They are not quick to get the job done and they won't work with you. I told them I would not let them put in a filter.
My loss. But I warn you not to use them unless you have patience, check their quotes and contracts and have lots of money.
Prompt, but did shoddy work. We had a leak coming from our shower that ended up needing our shower caulked.
The Drain Guys did that and worked very quickly.. but too quickly.
4 days later, we had the same problem and had to hire a different plumber to complete the work at a much lower price! Disappointing but it happens! Would not recommend. I had high hopes for this company because they responded to my call quickly and scheduled a visit for the next day.
However, that was the extent of the positives I have for the Drain Guys. The technician snaked my sump pump drain for $495 for less than 15 mins of work, which unsurprisingly failed to unclog the drain pipe.
Knowing the cost of snaking the pipe was high, he attempted to ease my disappointment by promising to offer discounts on using a camera and reinstalling the sump pump. The technician promised to send his proposal in 24 hrs for the future work and get things done before the rain came; however, it's been 3 days without a word.
The company got their quick buck and ghosted me. If you want to hire unreliable and expensive plumbers with a quick initial response time, the Drain Guys may work for you! Reached out to drain guys and they were out the next day to take a look at my leaking faucet, good thing because we also had a leak under the sink Parker was personable and professional.and quickly changed the faucet and value.'''.
