What was most surprising to me was that they did work that was not requested. Example: they replaced wall connections to our sink with brand new ones.
They helped with a leaky toilet and several other 'extras' that really made a difference in the end. Their team lead made sure to check in with me along the way, consulting with me on the best choices for the work.
He even told me that he was going to stay until he knew for sure that every line was completed correctly and working the way it should. And he did.

I Had the outstanding and unusually good luck in being put in contact with Arron of AW and Son's plumbing this month. This was one of those last-minute jobs.
I needed a gas-line added to my kitchen while the area was available to work in. I called Arron out of the blue when the plumber I intended to hire could not meet my time-frame.

Upon arrival for the estimate he was able to tell us if it was possible to put in a gas line and how much it would cost. When it came to the putting in a new tub he knew immediately which one we needed and that put us at ease because it can be overwhelming with all the choices.
Another thing we appreciated was regarding the hardware for the tub. We already purchased the hardware for the shower head in advance to go with the tub but to cut cost we went with a off brand.
Anthony the plumber was very respectful in putting into perspective why it would be a good idea to put in a few extra dollars to purchase a better brand and how in the long run that would be valuable. This being our first remodel my wife and I were so grateful.
Doing a little more digging we read horror stories of valves giving out on inferior products so the pro tip from Anthony was greatly appreciated. Once we schedule them for the work they kept to the agreed upon date and time which was crucial to our timeline.

They arrived early for the appointment, removed the existing unit, changed the fittings, and installed the new unit. All for the quoted price.
They worked clean and were done under an hour and a half! Unbelievable! We would recommend them to everyone! I had another plumbing company out for an emergency sewer problem which after two separate times at my home they could not solve the problem. I then called AW & Sons, they responded to my call quickly (on Super Bowl Sunday!) assessed the situation, and helped me for the immediate future until the rest of the project could be competed which was within a couple days.

A little back story I have a house built in the 1960 much like everyone in the area. The main line under my house has been giving me problems since I bought the house.

I worked with Anthony on the Energy Upgrade CA program to get a rebate for one of my customers who wanted an energy efficient tankless water heater. He was very easy to communicate with throughout the process and passed inspection without incident on the first and only visit.
My customer says it's worked like a charm and I would certainly recommend it for anyone whoever runs out of hot water and/or looking for a little extra garage space. they all came to fix a PEX leak and either they told me they dont know how to fix the leak of they tried to tell me i must redo my entire plumbing for 5k or they wont be able to fix it (nice try All American Repipe and JCOT...) Long story short, i made an appointment with AW and they come out within 2 hrs... they fix the leak and reinforce the area that was compromised.
Clean everything up like new and they are gone. I will recommend them to everyone who has PEX These guys are great! Arron came to check out our minor drainage issue.

The first company I received a bid from was for nearly $11k, another was $1,300 for 1-way clean-out or $1,600 for a 2-way clean-out (without even inspecting the sewer line.) I was about to use the cheaper price when I thankfully called AW & Sons. Aaron Woodward took the time to do a very thorough inspection & determined that we had multiple problems.
The Orangeburg piping was so badly damaged by our tree roots that his liner subcontracting will need to pipe-blast a new section. So, instead of digging a single 6' hole, they'll need to dig another 3' hole.

Well, new home owner lesson #127 is to make sure that the gas line for the range is actually uncapped prior to delivery. So I was in a panic because the delivery people wouldn't uncap the gas line.
I went on Yelp, and AW & Sons were the top rated plumbers in Whittier so I called, told them that all I needed was for them to uncap my gas line, and they came over within 2 hours! The best part, they did it for free. Steven and Oscar were there for about 10 minutes and were incredibly knowledgeable and very nice guys.

I am an above your average DIY and after remodeling multiple homes and have multiple interactions on several fronts with contractors in general, we've developed a pretty good judge of the type of contractor we like to work with and have confidence in.

Our sewer system backed up one night, and luckily I got a reference to AW & Sons. I texted Aaron that night; he was at our house by 8:00 a.m.
the next morning. He used the hydro-jet to clear the blockage--and let us know that our 70-year system was about to fail completely.
(We had been warned of this when we bought the house a year ago, but had been dealing with other improvements.) So he came back a few days later and completely replaced our system, including putting in a new relief valve in a more logical spot. Service could not have been better--Aaron was communicative, punctual, professional, personable, and just completely terrific.
He had to dig up some earth and move flagstone, and when he replaced it, it looked even better than it had before! We are so relieved to have a functioning sewer system--and to have found such a professional and reliable business. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
