Very dependable and well priced. Erik's team is amazing, got an opportunity to help my friend when I was visiting Austin and I told him I use Yelp from everything from directions to personal research.
When I found this page, what struck me first was HE replies to everyone! Even someone who didn't have the best experience, but there is two sides to every story. Anywho when I called I got ahold of his wife (I believe) and they came out and inspected my friends water heater.
Unfortunately it wasn't repairable but he gave us the best quote for a new one and was in and out in less than 3 hours. If you're in the Austin area, I'd highly recommend ET plumbing, I guess the name came from Erik Tracey and not an alien abducting a plumbing company.
The whole Alien theme is too cool and I hate to end with a cheesy pun but this experience was out of this world. Joe was was great! He finger out that the very low water pressure in the master bathroom shower was not only a problem with the with a worn out valve stem but also the value in the wall was defective.
He even did a excellent job of repairing the shower wall so that the sheet rock guy will have an easy time. with restoring the surface.
Now the master shower is working better than when we bought the house. It is great! We are repeat customers.
Thanks again, David and Mona My wife scheduled a bid with ET plumbing for gas line installation on our backyard grill. ET was responsive and came out within a few hours.
Unfortunately, she also inadvertently scheduled a competing bid with another company for the same day. That's where the troubles began.
ET arrived first and the competition arrived shortly after (not in our control). Once the other company arrived, ET's employee left our home and phoned Eric in order to report our violation of their company policy.
You read that right. ET's company policy is to abandon bids where competition is present.
No big loss. My wife didn't really like ET's rep in the first place.
However, shortly after ET left the job site, Eric (the business owner) called my wife and left an unprofessional scolding voicemail. We ignored that unprofessional treatment.
But when we woke up this morning we received a zero dollar invoice from Eric with yet another scolding message (attached). The competition that showed up (Plumbing Outfitters) took this in stride.
They were professional, sized up the work quickly, did the job, and got paid that afternoon. No muss no fuss.
ET's company policy is to leave job sites where competition is present and to harass potential customers for seeking multiple bids. This is shady, unprofessional, and unacceptable.
I expect they have this policy because they can't compete fairly with other companies. The competing rep was more knowledgeable and much more helpful than ET's.
How do they expect to stay in business when they shit on customers? "ET" plumbing... where the business owner is so alien he doesn't understand how human customers work.
I can't say strongly enough that you should take your business elsewhere. P.S.
To add to this confusion, ET gave us two timelines for coming to give an estimate. The first one was "tomorrow" followed up with a new time of "in 30 minutes." My wife scheduled the competing bid for the day before ET said they could come out.
We accommodated ETs new timeline, giving them the opportunity to compete. And they scolded us.

Bobby and Joe helped us figure out a drainage line issue in our rental home, and they tried a practical fix before attempting anything super expensive. They were super kind and helpful, and they did a great job explaining the issue and finding a fix.
They also cleaned up after snaking the line, which we really appreciated. I'd be happy to work with them again.
Eric came out to fix several issues in the house we rent that is over 20 years old and has mostly original fixtures. After realizing this he went above and beyond for us to check the fixtures of every bathroom, the water heater, outdoor faucets, etc.
to see if anything needs to be replaced before it breaks! This definitely puts my worrying mind at ease and we will be calling ET plumbing for any issues in the future! I hired ET Plumbing to re-route a washer drain line for my new washer/dryer unit. Eric came out quickly and gave me a free estimate.
Once his team got here to start the job (Bobby and Ace), there was thorough communication all along the way to make sure I knew where things stood. I also appreciated that Eric pulled the permit for the work when other plumbers told me they wouldn't -- or oddly, they'd pull a permit "after the work was completed" [insert side eye].
Today the inspector came out and commented on what a thorough job they did, so the guys came back out to close everything out. Definitely recommend ET Plumbing and would use them again.
Thanks, Eric, Bobby, Ace, Chris and Joe! This is the second time I have used ET Plumbing and had the worst experience ever. Eric was unprofessional and his passive aggressive behavior was beyond understanding.
He could not comprehend that the work that was done for my daughter (which she paid) and the work he did for me were two separate jobs, two separate customers. He conditioned the replacement of a defective part of my daughter's job on receipt of payment from me.
Again, two separate jobs and he would not honor his warranty. I will take every opportunity to let people know of his unprofessional behavior and to not use ET Plumbing.
I am Thankful to have found this company. The price was fair and what was really important to me they did not try to keep adding more things needed or hidden costs.

The owner is a wolf in sheep's clothing who appears so nice and friendly but as soon as you ask questions he gets very irritated. ET plumbing came to assess my job on Friday 2/ 18/23 and promised a phone call with the estimate on Saturday.
The purpose of the Saturday call was to discuss with Eric whether it was more cost efficient to repair the leaking pipes or rip the band aid off and re-pipe the old rusted galvanized pipes currently at the house. That phone call never came, so this morning when the technician arrived I still had questions.
As I attempted to explain to Eric that I need to decide how to move forward he kept cutting me off and accusing me of complaining about the price. If I had been allowed to finish my sentence he would have known that I was looking for his professional guidance on how to move forward with repair vs re-pipe.
I never mentioned the price! After repeated attempts to calm his increasing agitation I told him I would just find another plumber. He then continued the one-sided argument he was directing towards me and I told him at this point I'd rather pay someone else double his price rather than moving forward with his company given his rude behavior.
Throughout, I sincerely tried to salvage the transaction because I didn't want to tell my tenant there would be a further delay in getting his hot water restored. After the call I texted him and asked him for his email address (versus publicly shaming on YELP) so that I could explain what I was trying to say and let him know why he lost my business...it was not the price! I let him know I was disappointed in how I was treated.
I was caught completely off guard after he'd displayed great customer service on Friday. He did not respond with an email address but he let me know in two separate texts that he was disappointed in me and that I lost ET's business also?????? I was not soliciting business from ET, I was soliciting a service to patronize HIS business.
I'm not sure what that statement meant; maybe he shouldn't own a business if he doesn't know the difference between the business and the customer. He has some good reviews (assuming they're real) but God help you if you have questions or catch him on a bad day and fall on his bad side...it's not a pretty sight.
ET is extra-terrific! We've used ET several times and always been happy with the work but this time they provided truly exceptional service. In the middle of Austin's infrastructure meltdown, they got a crew to us despite power outages, downed trees, and traffic chaos.
Bobby and Joe worked for hours to replace our dead water heater and save our floors from flooding. We live in an older house, so the jobs sometimes involve old iron pipe and decades of amateur plumbing, but ET always does the job with professionalism and quality.
It doesn't hurt that they also have the coolest logo and website in the business. Absolutely recommend them.

There are very few things that are worse than stepping in a huge puddle of water whilst wearing a fresh pair of socks. SQUISHHHH I figured out it was a faulty part in the Delta faucet we had and a known issue with this particular model kitchen faucet.
Unfortunately the warranty had expired and we needed to replace it. I bought the new faucet that would be a perfect fit and that would be asteticly pleasing to the eye! I searched for plumbers on Yelp and after reading reviews, I decided to reach out to ET Plumbing.
They called back and we set up an appointment for 2 days later. Eric let me know when he was on his way and arrived on time.
He even took the time to let our fur baby Sir Winston say hello so he wouldn't be upset with the stranger in our house. Eric was quick with the faucet replacement and made sure the work area was clean once he finished.
Great job! I highly recommend these guys for your plumbing needs! My toilet stopped working and after trying multiple things to try to fix it I looked for professional help. The first plumber I called and arranged a appointment and never showed.
ET's on the other hand confirmed they would be there right away. The plumbers were professional and quickly resolved the problem, they even gave me some steps to follow next time I had a issue.
We had a water leak by the meter of the front yard and ET Plumbing was the most prompt and able to slot me in a much earlier appointment than everyone else. I love being notified via text and Christie and Chris were always communicative and kept me abreast.
I eventually met Eric too and they seemed like a friendly, well-oiled operation. I don't look forward to any more plumbing issues in the future but they'll be the one I call if I do! I needed a garbage disposal replaced.
I already knew what was wrong with my old one and knew ai needed a new one. I had multiple businesses tell me that I needed to have them come out, diagnose the issue (for a fee, of course), and then they would replace the disposal.
I wasn't going to play that game. When I contacted ET Please moving, they immediately said they could replace the disposal with a new one they bought for a fixed rate OR could come and do the work with a disposal I bought for a much lower charge.
I really appreciated their transparency and honesty. Not only that, they were able to come out and do the work earlier than anybody else I had contacted.
When they came out, the plumber was courteous and thoughtful. He did a great job in a timely manner.

I had contacted another provider who had a lower price but chose ET because they had a more visible presence that showed me they are an active business. My garbage disposal broke and started leaking yesterday.
This meant no using the sink, no running the dishwasher. I called ET around 4:30pm and they sent someone out at 10:30 am the next day.
They verified it was the garbage disposal, quoted me and fixed it. Very happy with the prompt service.

Took care of everything after split copper pipe after freeze. A+ I hired ET Plumbing to replace a shower head in one my my daughter's bathrooms.
While this was a relatively small job, I was very impressed with Christie & Eric's total professionalism and quick responsiveness, from the initial request for a quote to the final bill payment. Christie initially requested photos of the existing fixture and the desired replacement fixture, which I provided.
When Eric and Joe arrived to do the work, they were well prepared and even had a replacement connector pipe just in case they needed the part (turned out they didn't), which would have saved an extra trip had it been needed, and they were able to complete the job in under an hour. ET really understands the importance of great communication.
I received text messages (my preference) to confirm the appointment as well as one to tell me they were running 30 minutes late. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with every aspect of working with ET Plumbing and will be using them in the future for all of my plumbing work.

My plumber that I used several times before has closed his business so, naturally, it took me months to locate another plumber. I got all kinds of quotes for a kitchen sink swap out, most just ludicrous for a job that would take less than 2 hours, or they didn't want to quote it over the phone, and they wanted to come out and try to charge you a "quote fee".
Umm, no... Eric was referred to me by another plumber and he gave me a very reasonable quote over the phone.
The day of the appointment, they called to let me know they were running a little late, which was perfect for moi, who was having a rough time getting up and clearing the sink/under sink anyway. They were just 15 minutes after the appointment time so that worked out well.
They installed the new sink, re-did all the plumbing--making it a lot tighter and further recessed so I actually have room under there now, did thorough testing for leaks, were very friendly to my dog, cleaned up the whole area and took the old sink and the packaging for the new sink away, all in about an hour and a half! I had some other odds and ends I needed them to do, but they didn't have the parts, so they promise to swing by between jobs next week to do those. Cannot be happier with these guys! They were very responsive and Joe knew exactly how to fix our issue.

I called the original company that had helped us but they had no availability, and we didn't want to go without a working sink for x amount of days. Looking on Yelp I found ET Plumbing and was attracted because of its unique name/aesthetic.
Messaged here on Yelp and got an answer back quickly, with an estimate when I asked and availability the very next day. Our technicians just left and fixed our unit and even pointed out that our garbage disposal was beginning to leak (decided to file a claim with home insurance instead of having the company fixed).
But the men were kind, worked well, and most importantly, fixed the problem. I will definitely keep the company in mind for future problems and recommend them to any of our friends and coworkers.
Recommended to us by our Son, we reached out to ET when a leak was detected at our propane meter. While it did take a couple of days to get someone to us, as it turned out ET could get to us the fastest of the various plumbers we reached out to.
Upon arrival at our home, ET was quick to start the work & promptly addressed the issue. Without asking, they quickly asked what gas devices (water heater and stove top in our home) we had and their location.

But after looking, they said it didn't look like there was a leak and suggested testing the system. We agreed to pay the hourly rate and they did the test and everything was great.
Since we were still well within the hour, we asked them to also look at a pipe in the attic that our home inspection had tagged. They figured out that that was leaking and fixed the problem.

Eric and his team have really helped us a lot - they've installed 3 bathroom sinks (including moving drain lines in the wall), completed a full tub to walk in shower conversion which included moving a drain in our concrete slab and adding 2 valves and 3 shower heads, and also removed and re-installed a new bathtub in another of our bathrooms. ET plumbing is transparent with pricing and treats their customers with respect, taking the time to fully explain what work is required and why.

Eric is professional, courteous, and responsive. We first found ET Plumbing when we were in a bind and needed our new gas grill installed.
After calling several plumbers, we were referred to ET Plumbing by another company. Eric came out, hooked up our grill and essentially saved the day! When it came time to install a kitchen faucet, we called ET Plumbing again and again we were thrilled.
When we found a leak in our bathroom, ET Plumbing to the rescue yet again! The issue was a drain pipe that wasn't properly installed. Eric and Bobby cut a small square under our sink, attached the drain pipe correctly and then patched the hole.
It honestly looks like there was never a hole cut. It is amazing! Next, we needed a new hot water heater and ET Plumbing was there again.
Believe me when I say there is a difference in hot water heaters...and plumbers. Most recently, Eric was out to install a recirculator to get hot water to our master bath quicker.
Okay, this has been life-changing. No more running water as we wait for the hot water to flow.

Just had a great experience with these guys and had to share... I live in a '70s-era house, and the shower diverter in one of my bathrooms finally gave out.
Got all "YouTubed up" to fix it myself, but couldn't even get the dang ol' knob off. Was in a bind 'cause I'm expecting out-of-town company.
My regular plumber couldn't work me in soon enough, so he recommended ET. Twenty-four hours later...problem solved.
Eric and his staff were responsive and communicative before the service call, and he showed up exactly when he said he would. He and his assistant Brian were both friendly and personable.

Top quality service and workmanship. These are the guys you need to call if you need something done right! With a 6 year old grandson who stuffed way too much tp after a poo...we were too clogged for a teensy auger, enzyme and chemical cleaners! To the rescue John came through to save the day (and our toilet)! ET Plumbing replaced our water heater, which was really old and full of sediment.

I called because I had been dumping coffee grinds down the garbage disposal. Oops..didn't realize that was no good.
I thought I would need them to flush out the disposal and was quoted for that over phone. When they got there they fixed it and told me they didn't have to do that and that the charge was much low.

Christie responded right away and she got us scheduled with Eric for the very next day. When he got here it was clear the disposal hadn't been serviced or changed out in 20 years (since before we bought the house).
He identified the issues right away, talked us through the options and was able to replace it and get rid of the problem's source. Eric was super cordial and acted with the utmost safety precautions given the coronavirus issues still abundant.
We felt at ease the whole time. We will call them back for any other plumbing needs we have again in the future.
Thank you ET Plumbing! Our garbage disposal broke on Sunday and you don't realize how much you need something until it's broken right? Eric's team showed up right on time and had it all replaced in less than 30 minutes. Even took out the old and disposed of it.
They also had the best price! I was not expecting to dig into my ER house fund so quickly after buying my house but didn't make a dent in it at all once we ran the transaction. I would totally use them again! They were super fast in their responses! They were able to come in and get the the job done quick.
The customer service was amazing! I highly recommend them for any of yoUr plumbing needs! I can not say enough amazing things about this business!! Eric was great! He's friendly, well versed in the parts needed, as well as solving a problem relatively inexpensively compared to the other two companies who said it was a two day job and was estimated over $1000. (Took them 2 hours and less than 1/4 of the cost.) I will be using ET Plumbing from here on out for any of my plumbing needs! ET did not complete work for me as they were busy, however this review is for their customer service.

2. Due to my location and schedule, ET recommended another plumber with whom they have a relationship and said plumber did a fast and fair priced PRV replacement.
John was the best, he did an awesome job replacing the twisted tube my husband made out of our tub spout, builder glued a threaded kind, that's a no no. Eric was the one who quoted the job, he was super attentive and kind but most of all understanding of our particular situation.

I asked for a quote for drain cleaning, they quoted me a far price. We're on time and reliable, and complete the job with no hiccups.
Can definately recommend them to others! I recently contacted ET Plumbing due to a leaking fiberglass bathtub. Eric responded to my request immediately and then thoroughly explained the removal and replacement process while allowing me to ask any and all questions until I was knowledgeable about the whole procedure.
My conversations with Eric not only made me feel confident in his adeptness but also in his work ethic. However, after much consideration, I switched directions and decided to have the bathtub repaired and refinished (which is outside of Eric's expertise) and although I didn't contract with ET Plumbing, I wanted to share my experience and praise his helpfulness and consideration.

I am an out of state landlord that sometimes need to hire people for repairs on a rental in Austin. I tried these guys after the previous plumber I had retired.
At first it seemed OK - expensive, but OK. I know plumbers are expensive, but $175 to replace a wax ring (It takes me about 10 minutes and costs less than $10) seems excessive.
But, I take care of my renters. I also approved the $395 toilet replacement ($90 toilet from Lowe's) because it had to be done.
It would have been OK and this would have been a 4 or 5 star review, but they HOUNDED me for payment after the toilet replacement. Less than SIX HOURS after they completed the work they called me twice, texted me twice and emailed me all the while making a point that they wanted their payment today! And this is after I paid their first invoice (for the new wax ring) within hours of them sending the invoice - without any need to hound me like they did this time - so they knew I pay my debts.
I don't know what happened, but this is such a horrible experience that I am never using them again. Is this really the type of company you want to use, because it's not one I want to.
I asked ET Plumbing to come out to look at our fireplace, which hadn't been turned on in years, and I couldn't figure out what was stopping it from starting. Within just 30 minutes they had figured out what was wrong and had it roaring again.
I would never have known what the issue was. Very friendly, very professional, and very ready to solve whatever problems were in the way.
5 stars! Eric and team are hands down the best contractor we've used since buying our 1960s house full of questionable DIY. Eric was easy to get a hold of on the phone, took the time to understand what we needed, and gave a very competitive quote.
The team that came out was professional and did the job better than we had hoped. After, we asked about getting a tankless water heater installed and Eric was happy to make a trip down here.
He was extremely thorough in looking at options and again the price was very competitive. Given the high quality, appropriate pricing, and top notch personability we won't use anyone else.

The guy who calls on you is the guy who will do the work! From start to finish, their work is professional and reasonably priced especially compared to the big guys. Shop local and support small business owners who know what they are doing.

A quick troubleshoot showed that our hot water heater had failed on us. We called around town to find someone to help us, but nearly everyone was booked.

Incredibly satisfied. I was installing a bidet that required the hose to attach to t-valve under my wonderful seamless toilet (pain in the *#%*) I gave up and called around.
I was given Eric's name and scheduled an appointment. Eric started by replacing the fill valve because I had stripped the plastic threading....but after an hour of trying to get behind the toilet to install the t-valve he gave up.
Long story short a few days later he calls and said he had a simple fix! He was bound and determined to get this thing connected. Eric came out and within 15-20 min he had the bidet connected! Great guy would totally recommend him and now we can say we have happy tushes!'''.
