Review and analyze now for company Goodman Plumbing and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''Quickly came out to check leaky pipe in basement of city rowhome. Arrived on schedule and communicated well about service time.
Friendly diagnostic technician. Worked with Philadelphia Plumbing Co same morning to snake and unclog main drain from curb.
Fixed problem quickly, professionally and at a great price. Very professional , top notch and highly recommend.
Rip off. Don't call them in an emergency (or ever), they will totally take advantage of you.
Bloated prices, subpar sloppy careless work. Forget this place! I have called Goodman plumbers over the years for excellent service, immediate response time, always had courteous and professional technicians.
Pricy, but I thought they were worth the cost. Then I called for AC work...
I won't call them again for AC work. I had a leak in the wall from a mini-split.
First, I explained everything in great detail to the scheduler prior to arranging the appointment. Second, they sent out a tech who knew nothing about mini-splits.
He struggled for an hour trying to remove the cover. Finally, he gave up and said their expert would come out the next day.
That didn't happen due to an unfortunate reason. Meanwhile, the inside part was hanging off the wall and still dripping inside.
A week went by... they forgot about me.
I called them back the following week asking if the tech was back at work. They said they hired a new mini=split expert.
Great! He came out a few days later. He struggled to get the cover off due to the now bent clasps from the first tech.
Then he said the leak was due to a clogged drain, which runs out the wall down the outside of my house from the 3rd floor. He used an air compressor to blow out the clog, filled it multiple time with bottles of water to test.
It wasn't leaking in the wall. Then he left.
Within minutes after he left I went to the 2nd floor office to work and could hear a loud dripping that wasn't there before. Worried that it was STILL inside my wall, I called him back.
Fortunately, he was still close by.. so he came back..
It was the outside drain - he blew the PVC pipe off the drain hose with the air compressor. But he said NO, NO, NO.
He said it was a cracked drain from being old. He also told me that it usually drains outside without any PVC or downspout covering, that it was fine the way it is now.
Except it's not. The constant sound of the loud drip is very distracting, it's dripping loudly onto my neighbor's roof, AND I HAVE NO WAY OF TELLING IF ANY OF THAT DRIPPING WATER IS IN THE WALL or causing damage to the stucco wall.
I also checked my neighbor's MINI-SPLIT external drain - it is ENCLOSED in a beautiful aluminum down spout. My blown drain is too high up, and I'm too old to do it myself.
So, now I have to hire another contractor to fix the cracked drain he created and install a new covering. I suggest you take photos and VIDEOS of all the external parts prior to service.
YOU WILL NEED proof of any damage. I chose Goodman because of the reviews and I was not disappointed.
Nick actually called a couple hours before he was due to arrive and was pleasant, knowledgeable, and let me watch everything he did whilst answering all my questions along the way. I originally thought I'd attempt my own "homeowner skills," and was so grateful I did not.
(replace shower cartridge) It was a much bigger job than anticipated and there's no way I could've done it. Thank you, Nick, for your amazing patience and great attitude! Highly recommend Goodman Plumbing! A year ago I had a hot water heater installed by another company; they did a terrible job and ultimately cost me thousands of dollars.
This Saturday, the water heater made a sound so explosive it sounded like a bomb. I went downstairs and saw that this explosion actually blew the control panel door off of the water heater.
Concerned that it might literally explode, I called Goodman Plumbing as they had come to the rescue previously when this horribly installed appliance left me without hot water for five days. It took less than five minutes - literally - from the time I made the call to when Sean, one of Goodman's skilled plumbers, made it to my house.
Less than five minutes on a Saturday to respond to a call. He went over everything, made sure the device would be safe and pointed out the dangerous way the water heater had been connected to the main heating source.
He was the third person to do this, so it wasn't about a sale. We agreed that this water heater would remain problematic and never allow me more than a few weeks' peace and that it was better to install another one, which he was prepared to do the very next day, even though it was a Sunday.
He actually came with a team on Monday afternoon, so I could still put in a full day of work. Even an amateur like me can tell how much more workmanship went into the installation - and for less money than the original water heater cost.
Sean made sure I understood everything about how the heater was installed and how to work it. He taught me how to safely turn off the gas if I ever felt there could be a problem.
He explained the process and didn't leave until I understood what had been done. In short, he treated me like a valued customer, and more importantly, a valued person.
Everyone I have met from Goodman Plumbing has been caring, respectful and supremely competent. They have responded quickly to my concerns.
Sean is the latest among this amazing team to demonstrate what real professionalism looks like and I am truly appreciative. When we bought our house, we were warned in the inspection that our furnace - which was older than my partner and I - was on its way out.
While it wasn't an emergency, it was something to kick up a rainy day fund for. Cue this weekend, we started smelling gas.
After an emergency PGW call, our options were to patch the leak, or remove and replace the whole thing. We'd been kicking the can down the road, and it was time.
We've been working through a lot of fun renovations lately. This definitely wasn't a 'fun' expense, but a necessary one, and Goodman did a great job of making the process as painless as possible.
Our new furnace works great, their team was prompt with appointments, on top of communication, and did the work in about 5 hours all while I worked from home. We had been quoted some jaw-dropping amounts from other local companies, and their price was more than fair for all the reasons stated above.
Would recommend if you're in need of HVAC work here in Philly! Very helpful & work was completed in a timely manner. Will keep them in mind for future projects Shane did a great job with install of sink with replacement of shut of valves and new trap.
Service was fast and professional ! This weekend Philadelphia experienced a heat wave with record breaking highs. I have a very old dog with severe health issues who was not doing well during this weather.
I tried contacting numerous emergency HVAC services, but due to the high demand no one was available. I finally got in reach with Goodman Plumbing, and they were offering to come right away.
Our unit is on the roof, and they still offered to come first thing the next day. They were honest and responsive, and seemed empathetic to our situation.
The guys who arrived were quick to get the job done. They located the problem and solved it quickly and effectively.
My realtor, who was an absolute terror during all of this, was arguing with me over the phone and trying to get out of paying for it. They took notice to that, and offered to reduce the price for me.
They made a terrible situation much much better and I would recommend this service to anyone!! I was Extremely Disappointed that I was Charged 300. To replace the flange during a new toilet install.
I did not expect a standard toilet installation to cost me almost 1000. Excellent response time and customer service.
Don't know the quality of the actual maintenance yet. Leaking bathroom sink clogged service on time very professional highly recommend this plumbing repair service I am so glad for these guys.
I had several quotes from others and it was obvious they were trying to get over. Goodman came in saw the problem and said we will fix it right now and they did it for a reasonable price.
My new plumber Would love to review this business. I called to schedule an appointment.
A week later, no one showed. I did get a phone call saying someone was coming out but I waited 30 minutes passed the window time and no one ever came.
Will update if I ever receive a response. Got three quotes to put in a new washer and dryer hookup on my first floor.
Goodman was the lowest price and the work was fantastic. Shawn was a great guy, punctual, and did very good work.
Also walked me through each step of what he was doing and made me feel comfortable by answering all my questions. The reviews are mixed on here but I suspect this may be because of different ownership/management changes? Not sure but I had a great experience.
the contractors were extremely rude. I rent the house so they told me to go buy a house if I wanted to talk to them.
the contractor is out front of my house talking about how he used to sell crack. they yelled and screamed obscenities all day.
they left the house a complete mess. it took them 3 months to come do any work after looking at the problem and told my 85 year old mother they would get to it when they could.
we were told not to flush toilet paper for 3 months. I have never had such a poor experience with a contractor in my entire life.
I am a civil engineer and have worked with contractors for 20 years. I will never use them.
Goodman sent out a team to replace my kitchen faucet. They were on time, polite and knowledgeable.
In addition to getting and installing the specific faucet I requested they reattached my water purifier after getting a special attachment. The price for the job was quite reasonable.
I highly recommend. We have used Goodman Plumbing twice: once for emergency and once for a leak and tub faucet replacement.
Both times I was called back immediately and serviced the next day. Price was fair, service quick, and technicians polite and friendly.
I have had other bad experiences with plumbers and it has made my experiences with Goodman that much more refreshing. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! This company dumped trash in front of my home after doing work somewhere else in my neighborhood.
I called them, because their company info was visible on the vehicle, thanks to my home's cameras. Whoever answered the phone seemed apologetic and I was promised that someone would be by to pick it up, but of course it never happened.
I was forced to deal with the expense of having it removed. Tasteless.
Did complete repairs under kitchen sink. Great work and fair pricing.
Would definitely use them again. We called Goodman when our basement starting flooding on Easter Sunday at 9PM.
Despite shutting off the water to our house, it kept pouring in and we had no idea what was going on. Jim showed up in a mask first thing Monday morning, inspected all of our pipes, and determined that the issue was actually coming from our neighbor.
When our neighbor insisted her basement was dry, Jim went next door, talked to her about our issue, and asked if he could inspect her crawl space... where he subsequently found a huge leak (that had flooded not only our basement but her other neighbor's, too).
When we asked Jim how much we owed him for the visit he said, "There's no charge because there was no work to be done." We saw a Goodman truck on our block a few days later, there to fix our neighbor's pipes. These guys are consummate professionals and we'll certainly be using them for our plumbing needs from now on.
Their ads say they do plumbing, electrical and tile. I wanted a steam shower installed....
A little electric, a little plumbing and tile! "Nope we won't do it. I checked with the boss" he said.
I asked him to ask the boss for a referral. He said "no".
This Company advertise family owned and quality service. He finished by swearing at me and to go Google it for myself!" I returned the courtesy.
When you have this much abuse trying to buy from a Company, can you imagine the problems if they did the work improperly and needed to be fixed! They showed up very quickly when we were hearing odd noises from our pipes. Jim came in a mask and resolved the issue we were having with our toilet flushing.
The price was reasonable. We are really happy with their service.
They guy did an ok job fixing the tub drain. ( wasn't asked what kind of drain we wanted) they had to put an access panel in to get to it .
The guy cut the hole way to big and just balanced the panel on the broken drywall. We called and then Goodmans just sent the same guy out.
He siliconed the panel to the wall and left. Both times he acted like he didn't put a hole in the wall.
Would not recommend, dishonest! I hired Goodman to service an alleged gas leak noted by PGW. After apparently testing my gas lines, Goodman reported multiple leaks and suggested replacing every pipe in my house.
The next day I got a second opinion from another plumber and there were no leaks found. PGW came later that day and resumed service.
There was never a leak at all, just a bad meter reading from PGW! Goodman lied about there ever being a leak and tried to over charge me to redo the gas lines in my entire home. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! These kind of complaints are usually associated with new ownership .
Something happened. And I really hate to post this complaint...But I feel totally taken advantage of.
The repair happened on schedule. But the bill was ridiculous.
Me, being new to Philadelphia. (And only dealing with construction, remodeling type issues) called Goodmans for the 3rd time.
My home is 60 years old. Sooo.
the laundry sink corroded and leaked. Natural occurrence.
Replaced and works fine. BUT...NO ITEMIZED BILL.
AND they charged me $900. for a sink that cost maybe $100.
and a new faucet. Sean was very personable, the sink works.
He arrived at 7:50 AM, finished by 10:30 I will NOT call Goodmans EVER again. I just had my water heater replaced by Goodman Plumbing.
They were the best priced, very professional, very knowledgeable, and very clean in their removal and replacement/installation process. As the technician, George, said to me, "We do everything we can to leave the place in the same clean condition than before we arrived." I appreciate that.
They were timely in their arrival, and called when they were en route to my house. After the installation, George ran through what he did to ensure I was confident in the job competed.
I will most definitely use Goodman Plumbing in the future. I'attached some pictures from today's job they did for me.
Update: Literally the best Plumbing/HVAC company I have ever dealt with for my home. Goodman just installed a new central air system.
Absolutely meticulous work and they go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. They also happen to be best in pricing, but my main drive is service and reliability.
I literally cannot thank Goodman Plumbing and Nick H enough!! They are amazing, quick, kind, professional and know what they're doing! They are experts in all things plumbing! They fixed my shower in the snap of a finger and I really can't recommend and thank them enough. Especially considering it is the middle of a pandemic, I called them yesterday, and literally less than 24 hours later have a working shower again! If you need a plumber call and request Nick because no one in the city is better! We've been long-time customers and generally happy with their service, although I fail to understand why my heating needs repairs every year.
A new (expensive)heater should have done the trick. The guys who come always seem competent, but they call the office to get price quotes, usually resulting in some stated "coupon" or "discount" which results in typically very expensive service.
That said, wait times for service have gone from a day or two to many days, even a week, regardless of the problem. No heat for a week mid-winter while my pleas for a service call have often fallen on deaf ears.
So I tend to be a loyal customer and attempted today to discuss my concerns, met with defensiveness, bad attitude and a snarky "Do you want us to come out or not?" No thanks. Taking my business elsewhere.
I have used Goodman several times. Not only has everyone who has come out been fast, efficient, fair, friendly and explained everything so I could understand.
They also helped with figuring out my unique situation of having my wheelchair and sink pipes fighting. I had a leak in my tub and needed it fixed asap.
I called Goodman plumbing and they had a opening the next day. Frank arrived at the scheduled time and gave me a price quote for the work.
He was in and out within 20 minutes and was done. I was very pleased with his work and will use Goodman plumbing again in the future.
Among the bad experiences I have had with contractors, what happened with Goodman Plumbers is in a category of its own as being an act of pure evil. This happened on September 17, 2018, five months ago, but I have been deliberately waiting to make sure the way the problem was ultimately solved did the trick.
The background is as follows. Two workmen came to install a new washer, and to do so they turned off the house's main water pipe.
Old and much mended, the pipe burst from the pressure, spewing water everywhere until they turned off all the water in the house. It was already early evening and they began calling all the plumbers they knew to see who could come repair the pipe that very evening.
The person who agreed to come (for $175) was Stan from Goodman Plumbers. He said I had the original iron pipes and this meant that a very large section of the pipe would have to be replaced.
The cost? $2000. And he couldn't do the job until the morning, so we'd have no water all night.
He had me over a barrel and he knew it. It was getting late, people lived in the house, and I needed to put a solution in place.
But $2,000 out of the blue? Somehow I found the strength to look him in the face and, to his great surprise, say no. Stan stormed out in a rage.
The washing machine installers found me another plumber, who drove over. He was shocked by how Goodman Plumbers had handled the matter.
He fixed the pipe for $450 with a repair that was far less radical and which, five months later, is working just fine. Called Goodman Plumbing out of Feasterville & the next morning their friendly plumber was at my door.
Diagnosed the problem within seconds; repaired the damage in a timely complete fashion! Accepted my coupon & payment by credit card with no issue. Quick, efficient, knowledgeable & professional Representative of Goidman's Plumbing.
Have used Goodman many times over the years; have recommended them to neighbors, friends & family. Always happy with their services.
Rudest receptionist I've ever encountered. We had an emergency and got a "bulldog" instead of a sympathetic ear.
This business should consider getting someone who understands customer service. Rude, rude rude....
No thank you! They came out for us in a plumbing emergency, and did a great job! This was 2 years ago but they did a great job fixing our shower and bathroom floor. My father had his heater "fixed" last Tuesday.
Because of the unseasonably warm temperatures there was no need to have the heat on for a couple of days. When he turned his heat on the weekend it was not working.
He called them on Monday and they said they could not have anyone come out until Tuesday between 9-12, he called after 12 to inquire because it was past the time they said they would be there and was told they would be there between then and 4. Two young men (different from the original person who " fixed" it on Tuesday) showed up to fix his heat.
The technicians seemed to be inexperienced and were very rude to my 80 year old father, so he asked them to leave. I don't know about anyone looking at this review, but when I pay for something to be done, I expect customer service to be superior no matter what.
So, I called about 30 minutes ago (today, Jan 14, 2020) and talked to a young lady about the situation that my father paid over $500 for a repair that was not done and she said she would have someone else call me back. I received a phone call by a woman who she said her name was Adrian, explained the same thing I previously explained told them about the situation.
They were rude, unprofessional and unwilling to do repair what was clearly NOT fixed to begin with. If an 80 year old man who can barely walk is a threat to you because he's talking to you, then you need to find another line of work..period.
Because I'm posting this a month and a half later... I thought I had posted it.
I don't remember her name but o e of the ladies that I spoke to actually I mention that the lady who I spoke with on the phone actually hung up on me as well. The only good thing I can say is that the man that ended up calling me back because of my complaint, was a bit more professional, but they still did not repair what they had supposedly "fixed" in the first place.
I would not recommend this establishment to anyone, even if they paid me to do so!! We had a water issue in our garage and were reaching out to a few different companies in the area to get quotes and service. Goodman got back to us quickly, came to check it out the same day, and got the leak fixed in a short amount of time.
Roman, the plumber who came, also gave some helpful advice and a referral to a good company to work with on damage that resulted from the leak. Price was pretty reasonable, and the leak has been completely fixed, so we're happy with all of it! After contacting 3 other places with no return phones calls which is very unprofessional by the way, hubby and I contacted Goodman plumbing.
Someone actually answered the phone and came out the same day. Within the hour actually.
There were two guys both named Ed who snaked my back yard drain. They were very nice, very professional, and even gave a tip on how to try and prevent the issue from reoccurring.
I will definitely use them again in the future! Just to be clear, I am not able employee of this company. I'm an actual new customer who was satisfied with the work.
Very disappointed they took advantage of my grandmother who can't hear clearly and charged her money and didn't do any work it was suppose to be a free estimate I wouldn't recommend Goodman Plumbing to no one they are CROOKS ... VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ....
SERVICE SUCKS So, I have to say I have nothing but love for this company. I bought a house that the inspector missed A LOT to say the least on plumbing issues.
I had a few companies come out and give me quotes but this one was for sure the best in terms of response and price. And luckily I had them come out because after I had them quote me on potential fixes...
I had a disaster. My outside pipe broke and I didn't have a main shut off valve that worked 100%.
Tell me about a headache to say the least about a water bill. but the company worked through this and fixed my problem.
Then they came out after and found my main street shut off valve (after being persistent digging up my yard to find it) and now my house is ready to go! now after 2 other jobs, I am hopeful all is fixed. So thankful.
I made an appointment for a free estimate. I had to wait 2 weeks to see them just to come out for an estimate.
On the day they were supposed to be there, I sat around and waited all day, and about 30 minutes before the end of the scheduled time slot, I called to make sure I had the right time, and they said I wasn't even on the schedule. They said they would put my name in with the schedule manager and call me back to reschedule, but they never called.
I went with someone else instead, that actually came out in less than a week, and they were on time, and they didn't waste my time and energy by running me around. Let me just say--I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS but I have to say something about the service I received from this company recently.
I cannot thank Goodman plumbing enough for their services. Earlier this month, I had some smelly back up sewage in my garage.
Now here's the kicker-- I was planning to list my home for sale the following week. In a panic, I called the well known Roto plumber to come out and assess the problem.
Two men came out, did a little snaking of the drain and said they were unable to unclog the drain. He then called a work associate to "send a camera down the drain".
When the second guy came later that day, he simply LOOKED down the drain, said "we have to excavate in a few days" and quoted me $4k-$8k!!!! HE LITERALLY DID NOT TOUCH THE DRAIN AT ALL. He said he could tell by looking at the drain that he would not be able to unclog it Keep in mind, I am supposed to sell my home and move out of state in five days.
I don't have time nor the money to spend on a home that's about to be listed. I called my realtor, discouraged and on the verge of tears, and he recommended Goodman plumbing.
Goodman Plumbing came out the following day and got the problem fixed for a very reasonable amount (an amount that I'd feel comfortable paying three times over if I had too) I am forever grateful to Matt for his services. He was very professional, efficient and very kind.
He got the job done in about an hour by himself! HUGE THANK YOU TO MATT with GOODMAN PLUMBING! Give this man a raise! I will forever recommend this company to my Philadelphia friends. Hands down, the best! Like other reviewers have said, Goodman is really good! Great job installing two toilets and a vanity (that I supplied).
The workers were very helpful, pleasant and efficient too. Goodman also supplied a tiler for a new bathroom floor that we've needed for a very long time.
I picked out the ceramic tile I wanted at Tilerama on Oxford Ave. The (wet bed) flooring job was not easy because nothing in my old house is level or straight.
But, the tiler did an excellent job and we love it. I thought Goodman's pricing was pretty good compared to some others for the work that was done.
Overall, hiring Goodman was an excellent decision for us. Called Goodman to come out after I was unable to connect my new washer due to my water valve shut off valve being "frozen" and my main water valve needing to be replaced so i could install my new washer.
I had George come out the next day and was done within an hour. Reasonable prices and great service.
Really recommend any of their work. So I woke up Saturday morning with no hot water....old water heater dead, finally.
Called my regular plumber--booked solid, couldn't help. Same for the guy he recommended.
A little desperate, I remembered seeing Goodman's trucks around the neighborhood, saw some good Yelp reviews, called them. The receptionist was efficient, said somebody would be by my place in an hour.
Ten minutes later Sean showed up. Long story short, by 11:45 he had squeezed (tight space) a new tank in and hooked it up.
Problem solved. I'd recommend Sean and Goodman any day.
3:45 into the 4:00 hour of the scheduled service window, I called to find out where they were. They said they had tried to call me twenty minutes earlier to confirm(?) the appointment, and because I hadn't picked up, they didn't bother to stop by, they just moved on to their next customer.
No text message. No email.
I asked when they could be back. They said in 4 or 5 days.
In my opinion, their service could have been better. Someone from Goodman comes out to provide an estimate for a leaky bathtub faucet.
After that I show him another problem a leak at a valve that only occurred when turned on but would stop after being turned off. He proceeds to ask for pliers and breaks the bulb and left.
I call the office to tell them and they said I was blaming them my problem with this is 1.My problem was he left without acknowledging he made the problem worse and 2. When I called the office they made every excuse in the book including "he meant well..." as if meaning well is an excuse for cracking a bulb and leaving water running when it was not continuously running previously.
I will never do business with this firm again. Thankfully I found an honest plumber with fair rates goodbye Goodman plumbing I will never recommended you to anyone again.
To bad you don't live up to the "good" in Goodman plumbing. Not a good experience with the technician that came over .
I think his name was Fred . I wasn't home , but my husband told me that we had two leaks and that it will cost one price for the pipe to be fix in back of the bathtub and the faucets needed to be changed .
The job will cost $500. Plus.
I asked the plumber if he could just change the stems because I wanted my handles to stay the same and he told me he couldn't . I thanked him for his time but no thanks and he handed my husband the phone and left abruptly .
When I called another plumber it was a leak from somewhere else and nothing has to be change . I will not call this company for any of my plumbing problems.
Always get more than one estimate. This review is indented for the Goodman store on Castor Ave.
At 9:30AM my water heater exploded. Within an hour Nick from Goodman had called me, taken my model number, retrieved a new heater and was at my front door.
Nick and Jeremy made a stressful situation much more manageable. They kept things light and were extraordinarily efficient and polite.
They even gave me a referral for Elite Water Damage and Restoration services who joined onsite within 20 minutes of my call. By noon my water was running and Nick and Jeremy had cleaned up and were on their way.
Best service experience I've ever had in my home. I highly recommend these guys.
Frank came to my home and state service would be $225.00. I informed him I was quoted $185.00 and he said that he would accept that figure.
Immediately pulled the cap off the chimney and stated cleaning would add $40.00 to the bill ($225.00). Cleaning took about 3 minutes.
It's been very delightful to work with Goodman Plumbing over the years. Today, they sent a technician to come back to fix our garden pipe that had problems from the winter.
Since it was a call back, they did not charge anything for the repair. The technician, Sean, was super friendly and fixed everything.
He also taught us how to prevent any future breaks by draining the pipe in the basement next winter, something we hadn't known. Sean is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.
We will definitely keep using them whenever we have any plumbing problems in the future. Goodman Plumbing installed our new furnace and we couldn't be more happy give these guys a chance they have top notch customer service.
Our home is 100 years old and was challenging to install our new high efficiency unit, they worked well over 10 hours into the evening to get this installed for us so we had heat for the night. No one could have determined the difficulties in store for them which lead them to make an emergency home depot run at 9p to get this done for us.
The guys worked tirelessly from 9a-10p to finish the job. Two weeks after the install we were concerned about some tapping noise coming from the unit one of their guys came back out at 7p (a few short hours after we called) and took a look at this for us for no charge.
It really put us at ease, we will continue to use Goodman going forward you should too! Technician Saiid(sorry if I misspelled it) showed up and was extremely helpful. he assessed the leak issue I had, figured out what next steps I could take & was extremely courteous and understanding through the process of getting it fixed.
He went out of his way to help adjust my shower as well to allow for hot water access, where previously I was taking cold showers. thank you for coming out in the snow to come help in this emergency situation I was dealing with! call them up for well service didnt even send no one to ck how bad is that for business , if i could give them half a star i would because gave me a date for 18 of july and no show truly and highly not recommend!! Jason showed up earlier than the appointment time, and spot the problem right away.
He fixed the furnace with in 10 mins. Very professional and very experienced.
I would recommend their service to friends. We had an appointment for an estimate on some repairs listed from an inspection for the sale of our house.
After being referred and reading the reviews, we thought this was our plumbing solution for not only our current needs with the sale of our house, but also with the new house we are moving to since it is right around the corner. The quoted price to have the estimate done was $85.
They gave us a window from 10am - 2pm to arrive and complete the estimate so my wife took off from work for this. The tech calls at 1:30pm and says he will be an hour late, maybe more.
Since she knew she'd be home today, she told our high schooler she could stay late at school and would pick her up. There was no way to tell if or when they would show up, so we wouldn't be able to use them.
We called another plumber, Joseph De Steffano Jr (out of Souderton), and he gave a quote for the items we needed fixed over the phone, so I guess we found our plumber after all. We've used these guys twice now, and I have nothing but good things to say.
First visit was to diagnose a leak in our garage - fixed quick, and for a very reasonable cost. Then came back to give us an estimate on replacement of our three leaky toilets - performed the work today and again for a very reasonable cost.
Didn't try and sell us the toilets either - actually recommended we buy them ourselves to save some $$. We had been using a very well known plumbing service in the area up until now - but I always felt like they were trying to upsell me.
Goodman did the same work today for less than the other plumber quoted us last year. No frills, just great, reliable service.
Bill was great each time we met him. We will definitely use Goodman again.
They do not do their job properly. Not attentive, unprofessional, rude.
Charged twice for the same issue, taking advantage of the people who has no clue about plumbing. What can I say about this company.
They came out to correct work on two different jobs that two different WELL KNOWN plumbers did at my elderly mother's home. Their fast and courteous and STAR QUALITY SERVICE is A1 in her book.
Bill is very knowledgeable in his craft. We will DEFINITELY be using them again.
GOD BLESS GOODMAN PLUMBING!!!!! A WORK OF ART!!! I was pleased with the service that I received from the plumber. They were fast and informative.
I was quoted a price over the phone and when the work was done I was given a discounted price. My shower had not been working for couple months.
I consulted a few plumbers in the area and none of them could tackle the problem. As recommended by my neighbor, I contacted Goodman for help.
Their technician Roman came and figured out the problem right the way. He ordered the parts for us and got the shower fixed properly.
Roman is very professional and knowledgeable. He answered our questions via text and phone calls very promptly.
I would strongly recommend him for any plumbing work. Called Tuesday and got an appointment for Thursday.
Roman called me with a 40minute expected arrival time. He was on time, clean, and professional (he had to lightly move some furniture and clean up some dripping water).
I will definitely be requesting Roman again! I had a pipe break at 7 PM and they were *quick*. They were over in 5 minutes and the problem was resolved in no time.
Definitely will be using them again. Extremely happy with their service and I would definitely recommend them.
I requested service through their website for my malfunctioning garbage disposal and broken toilet lever. Someone emailed me less than 90 seconds later and we were able to schedule an appointment quickly that fit in my schedule.
They said someone would come between 10am-2pm and they would call beforehand. Chris called at 9:49am and was here just after 10am.
Perfect! He knew what he was doing and was able to fix both issues in less than an hour. Chris was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.
He was very considerate and even offered to take off his shoes since it was rainy and gross out. It was a huge bonus for me that I didn't have to wait around until 2pm(or later) and was quickly able to move on with my day.
I would absolutely contact them again if I have any other plumbing issues! Called Goodman today around 7am for hot water heater repair. The Bradford White that was installed in 2012 was leaking water in my basement.
George arrived about an hour or so later. He is a cool dude.
Courteous, informative and worked fast. I got a new water heater and he'll be coming back on Wednesday to add a valve.
Apparently the water pressure into my house is too fast and that's why the previous one only lasted 5 years. Goodman was a recommendation from a family member and i was not disappointed.
THANK YOU. I am disappointed and I feel like I was taken advantage of.
Against my better judgement, I allowed Goodman plumbing to come by and do work with my husband absent. When flushed, my toilet leaks through the ceiling into the dining room.
We typically deal with independent contractors but Goodman plumbing came immediately. The plumber was nice.
He clearly was receiving his pricing info from someone else. He told me the problem was a wax ring and some thin piece of metal that would hold a bolt in place..
$375!! He did 8 mins of work and flushed the toilet. It still leaked.
He said it's an additional $150 to go in the ceiling and find the real problem. I declined.
They took off $125 so my final cost for a wax ring and bolt holder was $250 & I still have the problem. I've made appointments with two other independent plumbers.
As soon as I said the water was not on the floor of the bathroom but coming through the ceiling, they both indicated that they HAVE to open the ceiling. Both want $50 and will apply that to repair costs.
GET AT LEAST THREE QUOTES PEOPLE!! Goodman plumbing was fast and on time but as the plumber stated, "I'm still fucked!" When we suddenly got water in our basement in the midst of trying to sell our home we panicked. It was 8:30 on Saturday night that I called Goodman with our emergency and the plumber arrived by 11AM Sunday morning.
He quickly and efficiently diagnosed the problem (a clog in our main pipe) and solved it. Thank goodness! I will never understand the reputation these guys have.
I've worked with them twice. Once for a water heater installation that was grossly overpriced.
I needed it in a hurry so I didn't balk. The next time I had them produce an estimate for some other fairly large jobs, fixing a broken pipe, putting in two water lines and gas line.
I waited a week. No estimate.
Waited another week, still no estimate. Contacted the big boss, who promised to get an estimate from the person tasked with it.
That was the last I heard from them. The crowning touch on their amazing professionalism is that they're rude.
I have since found a capable, pleasant and reasonably priced plumber -- East Falls -- and funny story, they recently told me that the water heater connected by Goodman goes to the wrong meter. Cool.
Avoid these chiseling, rude jerks. We had a leak in our shower.
I emailed Goodman and got a response in less than an hour. An appointment was made for the next day (a Sunday) and the plumber contacted us in advance on Sunday to say he was on his way and he arrived right on time.
He came in and examined work that had been done three weeks before and recognized the poor quality of the workmanship. He managed to get the necessary parts from a fellow worker that same day and installed it quickly.
He also replaced a toilet flush system and replaced our shower head all for less than the previous plumber. George was pleasant, respectful and efficient.
I so much appreciate his professionalism and his efforts to serve us well. We our truly grateful for all of his help!! I had two plumbing issues, a leaky toilet and a water heater that started throwing rust water and staining my laundry.
I got the telephone number for Goodman Plumbing from my next-door neighbors. I called an made an appointment, and Maurice was here the next day to asses the issues and give me a price.
He returned on Monday, replaced the water heater, but because of another problem with the toilet, was unable to complete that job that day. He came back with the necessary parts the following day, and the toilet issue was resolved.
The price was a couple of hundred dollars more due to the problem with the toilet, but it was definitely worth it to not have a leak into my kitchen. After the job was completed, Maurice cleaned up the area and made sure everything was back in place.
Goodman Plumbing also handles heating issues, and I will be contacting them again to check my heater and repair a couple of radiators that haven't worked in a couple of years. Again, the price is very reasonable.
I would highly recommend Goodman Plumbing to anyone! Called for an emergency assistance and was told I can expect a technician within an hour. One hour goes by and no technician.
I then call the receptionist and she connects me with one of the plumbers who said it would be about another hour; which I was fine with. Then four hours go by and no word from the plumber and the receptionist can't get a hold of them.
Terrible service and completely unprofessional. These guys are the real deal! They came on time (as promised) and were reasonably priced.
They were so nice, professional and they were even friendly to my dog who barked at them. I am going to use them again and again as they do quality work.
Called this place up for a leak (it wasn't a plumbing emergency) and someone was able to come out the next day. The two guys that came to my house were knowledgeable and friendly and showed me where the leak was coming from and gave me some helpful information on how to look for similar leaks in the future.
Will call again if I ever need another plumber. I had an exterior stack pipe replaced on a 3 story building.
There was an issue afterwards with staining on about 20 ft of brick. The owner hired a Mason to remove the staining as needed.
The owner is concerned about the quality of his work and followed through as promised. How hard is it to find a reliable, honest, and punctual plumber?! I'm glad I came across Goodman Plumbing and wish I had found them sooner.
Usually when I call for plumbing services no one answers the phone, they never call you back or ask for a ridiculous amount of money.. When I called Goodman Plumbing (Friday November 13, 2015) someone immediately answered the phone.
I explained to the women on the phone the issue I was having and she quoted me a price to come out the next day (Saturday). I told her it wasn't an emergency situation and I was able to hold off until Monday which made my quote about $80 cheaper.
They tag on an emergency fee for weekend service so if it's not an emergency have them schedule service during the week. This was a tip from another yelper! My appointment was scheduled for Monday anywhere from 10am-2pm and the plumber would call when he was on his way.
I was expecting to wait around all day.. I received a call around 9:19am from the plumber stating he was on his way.
They were early and started working before 10am which was awesome. Ed and Ed (the plumbers), explained what the real issues was and how they took care of it and also explained what to do to prevent it from happening again.
Both Ed and Ed were extremely knowledgably, and friendly! I was originally quoted $165.00 and received a coupon for $20 off from Ed and ended up paying $145.00. I was also given a 30 warranty which was nice.
I gladly tip them for such great service! If you are in need of a plumber don't hesitate to call Goodman Plumbing, they will answer the phone and come out on time!! Their prices are ridiculous. Firstly I think they are incredibly dishonest.
They always send someone who's good at talking to you and giving detailed explanation of what's needed. Whether what they recommend is needed or not is a whole different ball game.
After all the sweet talking, They hit you with a big service charge. They have ripped me off several times I would recommend going with a smaller Company.
Goodman plumbing has developed a market of customers and now is ripping people off I highly recommend Goodman Plumbing. They are reliable, prompt, and cost effective.
Very professional and have been able to fix every issue big and small. I am very unsatisfied.
I had a heater installed by Goodman and I asked them to show me how to bleed the radiators. I was told to call them and they would come out to do it.
When I called I was told that it would be $165.00 just to bleed the radiators. I didn't expect it to be free but that is ridiculous.
If I could give them less then 1 Star I would. This company is horrible.
They installed a brand new heater 2 years ago and we have had issues since with it. Having this company come back out numerous times and from needing a new chimney liner to having a whole new unit after we were left with no heat what so ever this year.
This was all diagnosed by just removing one panel on the heater. Well obviously there was a warranty for the heater since it was a new unit.
Well over and over ( during the cold in a freezing house) we were told we had to do the chimney liner first in order for the warranty to be valid . Yeah, no! We had another company come out and they were able to diagnose and get us heat right away.
Well here is the good part, Goodman only replaced part of this heater they didn't replace the entire heater as we paid for 2 year ago!!! So with this pieced together system that was done poorly ( with multiple ducts , no filter racks - when this system needs one return duct or it is overworked and obviously filter racks) the system constantly malfunctioned. Within 15 minutes this other company was able to get us heat that stayed on til they were able to come out and fix the unit in entirely with one rerun duct and filter racks.
Do yourself a favor and go with a different company, because Goodman will come out and do crappy job and then try to charge you for things which you don't need after you find out your system isn't working properly. Sean D.
did an amazing job for us. I highly recommend Goodman plumbing.
We had a slow water leak that we didn't notice. Sean connected us right away to a water mitigation company to do the work we needed.
He came back later to install our new faucet and a hose bib connection outside. He does excellent work and is an absolute pleasure.'''.
