The job was an insurance claim so I couldn't commit to the job until the quote was accepted by the insurance adjuster which exceeded the 30-day period of the quote, but they still honored the original quote. Patrick was the contractor who did the job and he is an artist with drywall.
Very professional, very skilled, and very considerate. I had to stop him from cleaning up a mess left by my kids.
The experience and communication was exceptional and I have been referring them to anyone who has asked me for any handyman job. You can't go wrong with them.

We had to have baseboards removed for a termite treatment. We hired AZ Maintenance Service to remove and then replace them.
Glen was the contractor who came out to do the work for us and he did an excellent job. He checked and repaired a faulty light fitting in a ceiling fan for us as well.

I initially found it amusing that their tagline was we fix everything in your home except your relationships. But after trying them out and having great experiences with several of their guys and someone that always answers the phone they really set themselves apart from other Handyman companies I've used.
Bam! This company nailed it! Patrick was awesome! The whole company was so helpful start to finish! 100% hiring these guys again on another property! Completely repaid some water damage and a leaky shower door. Patrick totally did what he said he could do.

I reached out several times, but I did not get any reply. I'm sure they are great, but I did not get to see their work.
They completely refuse to give a quote over email or the phone, but will only tell you in person (even if it's a basic faucet replacement). That way you can't comparison shop for the best deal.
It's manipulative and shady. Mike and his team did an amazing job extending unused floor-space, to make an office for us in our condo.
They also added LED lighting to our home and did an excellent job. On top of that, the team was even able to add a baby-gate, as well as attaching a shelf to a wall for us.
Besides the superb work, everyone was commutative, neat and meticulous. We will not hesitate to use Arizona Maintenance Service in the future! Amazing service and great value.

Okay, so not only did Jesse show up on time (like, the EARLY end of the two hour window I was given), but when I told him I wanted him to do a TOTALLY different job than what I'd called him for, he didn't bat an eye. He fixed 4 doors in just over an hour, charged me what felt like a VERY fair rate, and was respectful, courteous, and COVID-19 aware/safe.
And then, just when I sat down to write this, he knocked at my door to come back in and caulk something he'd forgotten while he was in the throes of door-fixing. He came back.

They removed my shutters to accommodate a new window installation the next day and then replaced them the day after the window was placed. I worked with Jesus who was just a delight with a great personality.

Jesse arrived on time and provided a reasonable estimate for my job of recalibrating my shower cartridges, repairing my shower door and floor molding. I highly recommend them.
I requested a bid to replace 3 shelves in the garage and remove and dispose of some ceiling drywall. They sent the bid for over $600 for the shelving.
Are you kidding? If you're going to gouge somebody make sure they don't know what's involved. I sent a request back requesting what their hourly rate is and if they were going to take the damaged drywall to the dump for the price they quoted.
They didn't specify that detail in their proposal. I never got a response.
Bottom line is they weren't interested in the job so they jacked the price up. Just say that you're not interested.
Now, I'll never call this outfit again. This company and employees have the worst customer service.
Because we have jobs and work, we couldn't meet them for an estimate until after 3. So after getting the attitude from them they schedule an appointment 3 weeks later.
The day comes and of course there is no call and nobody showed up. The next day, 2 hours after I've left for work, a man shows up at the door.
My wife is getting ready to go to work and this person gets his arrogant attitude with her. She tells him he needs to call and talk to me.

So unprofessional and lack of customer service between the owner and one of his employees. I was quoted a 1 week remodel that went into a 3 week process & wasn't even completed.
my bathroom was/is left a mess and the answer was "hire someone else to fix our mess." I was even referred to this company because of their excellent work on a previous remodel they did but NEVER again Arizona Maintenance Service was AWESOME!! John S. came do some work for us and was very personal and knowledgable about many subjects and on his job.

We will definitely call on him again if we need anything done! I called the office and made an appointment for someone to come pour a shower pan. They sent someone out to measure and I scheduled the appointment.
I took a day off from work to be home for the person to come do the work. He was 2 hours late.
He came to the house and looked around and said he needed to go to Home Depot. He then called me from Home Depot to tell me that the pan was not in and that the only size they had was bigger than what I wanted but that was gonna cost $200 more.
I met him at Home Depot where I discovered that my order to have a shower pan poured had somehow been changed to them ordering a pre-fab fiberglass pan. I explained that that was not what I had requested and that we are going to tile the shower therefore I cannot use a prefab pan.
The man went out to his truck and called his office who then said that they could do what I asked but that it would be the following week before they could do it. I explained that was unacceptable as I had someone else coming to hang concrete board the very next day based on my appointment with them to have the pan done.
They finally agreed after quite of bit of arguing that they would do the work on Saturday the way I had originally requested. Now comes Saturday and my appointment was at 8:00.
At 8:30 I get a call from the worker saying that he had overslept but that he would come. 3 hours later he arrived.
Now the pan is in and it seems to be a good. When the tech left he had me sign something saying the work was done and advised I would receive an email w/ a link to pay.
Sure enough, Monday morning I received a link w/ a bill marked "Past Due". I called the Manager John and asked why my invoice was marked past due.
He stated that is just their system. I also asked if he had received my message about the tech being 3 hours last on Saturday and he said yes...
Sorry about that. That was it.
They screwed up my original order; Their tech was 2 hours late the first time; I lost a day of work because they screwed up the ticket and could not do the work they were supposed to do on the day they had it scheduled; rescheduled and the guy was 3 hours late and then I got a past due invoice and the best I could get was a "sorry about that". Be cautious using this company.
The end result was pretty good but getting there was a real headache and they take no responsibilities for their mistakes! I requested a quote for some drywall work. The owner rearranged his schedule so someone could come out and look at it for an estimate.
At first I was impressed that he would do that, but then no show. No call.
No text. If my job isn't important, fine.
Just be up front an either tell me you'll have to put it off to another date, or tactfully tell me you have bigger fish to fry. Not impressed.

I called John at Arizona Maintenance Service last week to get an estimate to have my back fence painted and a stucco repair on my roof. John scheduled Patrick to come to my home and give an estimate a few days later.
Patrick arrived as scheduled and carefully evaluated the two projects explaining what would be done and how the work would be performed. He was extremely knowledgeable, confident in what he was explaining, and made me very comfortable that had the expertise to do the work.
The job was scheduled for the following week (today, 10/22/2020) and Patrick was on time and immediately began to do the work. It quickly became obvious that Patrick is very experienced and knows exactly what he is doing.
His professionalism, attitude, and the energetic way he approached the work was exceptional. He answered all of my many questions without hesitation and, after the job was completed, walked me through each part of the work to ensure that I was totally satisfied - which I was! Arizona Maintenance Service is a well run company and Patrick, in particular, is an exceedingly talented and very experienced craftsman.
The high ratings and reviews the company enjoys are well deserved. I will be using them, and specifically Patrick, in the future for home projects I cannot do myself.

John Surakus is the best handy man in the valley! He fixed everything in my house perfectly and efficiently and at a great price. He fixed everything while my wife was working at home and she said she had a blast having john over.
He's the best 10/10! We had tv's a pictures to hang in a new home. Jesse came and got some of the old tv's off the wall and then said he needed different wall mounts for 2 of the tv's I told him I would go get them and he said no I can.
He never mentioned that there is a 20% markup and that we would pay hourly while he was gone for 2 hours, I guess getting lunch. On the invoice we received had just a grand total of $950.00 for 6 hours of work.

Work was clean. I asked Patrick to replace my doggie door flaps and replace my doorbell.
He said the doorbell was a process of elimination and was going to be expensive - okay that's plausible. But he said he couldn't get the old flaps off of the doggie door without disassembling the frame, which was going to be pricey.
I know you don't have to take the frame apart to replace the flaps. I've replaced those exact flaps on another door before.
You take the screws out and you pull the flap down. Maybe trying to take me for a ride? He left and I did the work myself, while holding my 4mo old baby.
Don't waste your time with these guys. We had several touch up jobs to complete after a larger remodeling project and John and Jesse helped us get it all done! John was available right away to provide a quote - he was knowledgeable, friendly, and easy going - no pushy sales to make you feel like they want to do more than you need.
I like that they charge by the hour rather than per item so its not a nickel and dime approach. Jesse showed up right on time - the quality of work was great and it was done in the amount of time they quoted.
We will have them back for the next project! John S came to our home and took care of our list of needed maintenance items. He worked methodically through the list and did an excellent job with each of the items.
We will gladly refer John and Arizona Maintenance Service in the future! Our kitchen sink had dropped, and I had been told that by two plumbers that didn't really offer a solution. John came in and figured out how to put braces in the cabinet to secure the sink without having to remove the granite.

Having 12 foot ceilings makes it necessary to hire someone with a tall ladder to change bulbs. That was accomplished.
But moving all the furniture to accommodate the ladder made it necessary to put it back together again. Not done! And very expensive for a few minutes of work.
And arrived late to boot. Would never recommend this company.

acted like a big shot the moment he walked in, stating "I'm $125 an hour!", which he is not (as he is an EMPLOYEE), and this rate is what HIS EMPLOYER charges. As to the purpose of the consult, John S.
falsely claimed that only two companies in the entire valley are able to trim solid core doors down to be installed, a claim that was later refuted by other handymen which I've consulted, one of which is currently installing them. John S.
suddenly went into a full-on temper tantrum in my home when a gentleman (who happened to be at my home that day working on a project) asked him two basic questions about providing an estimate for their work. John huffed and puffed and yelled "why am I being interrogated!?," and stormed out of my house yelling (and walked through a room he was not given permission to go into, so he could get to the door without walking past the other man).
I, nor the two other guests I had present in my home at the time, have ever seen such a childish spectacle from a service person with such a fragile ego. I wonder if there's any nepotism going on in this company that allows John S.
to get away with his childish behavior in customer's homes?? I left 3 voicemails asking for a call from John S.'s boss, noting in the last one that I would post the matter in online reviews if he doesn't call back to discuss John's behavior. If his boss decides to call me and to right this situation, I will consider removing this online review.
Eric was on time. He removed some drywall and installed a double door.
He was courteous and did a great job with clean up. The job came in on budget and he even finished sooner than expected! Would highly recommend Eric and this company! This is the forth time I've had the pleasure of utilizing Arizona Maintenance Service.

They scheduled appointment to come out with a 2 hour window. After about 30 minutes, they called to say they were running late by 1-2 hours.
I asked if they could show up at the end of 2 hours because I had to leave and come back. They told me no problem.

My advice is call day before appointment and remind them, other than that company was readonable, easy to work with and they did a good job repairing my wooden fence. Repair man also offered me advice on how to maintain the wood for years to come.

We got the estimate done, Patrick did seem nice, he took the measurements of the doors we needed to swap out, had a plan, and we scheduled it for later in the week. The day of service I guess Patrick was out of town, so they sent some other guy.
Part of the estimate was to remove an old mattress which the new guy said he could not do, then he spent 2 hrs at home depot when at the time of the estimate they had the measurements of the doors to fix. Mind you this is not a difficult job, just 2 pre-fab doors needed to be cut and hung, and a hole in the wall to fix.
I could do it myself if I had time. After the extended home depot trip, he tries to do one of the doors, apparently not able to do it, and leaves.
Leaving with one messed up new door, one new door, the hole in the wall did not get repaired, he decided this simple job was too difficult and left, all the while having a horrible attitude from the beginning. All this was done while my wife had to deal with this incompetent "handyman" while I was at work.
Update: once I got home I got to see the mess first hand. The one thing he actually did attempt to fix was a drawer, fell apart the moment I touched it, so I got the 2 part resin out and did it right, not the wood glue he used.
Second update: The Handy man was running too late so we asked to reschedule to which the lady on the other end stated they would not be able to do this job after we wasted 3 days of our lives waiting for these people to do this SIMPLE job... pathetic.'''.
