Jay was honest and let me know his team was very busy and could not make it out right away. However, he shared some referrals to other service providers that could get to my property next day to evaluate the issues.
He also let me know if it was determined the unit needed to be replaced to call him back and he would work with me on great price and timeline to replace the unit asap. I did just that, the service company was able to get my 23 year old unit up and running for 2-3 weeks but said that due to the refrigerant leak my AC unit will require replacement.
I called Jay back the next day and let him know I needed a new unit and within 24 hours he had a quote and said to let him know when I needed the unit replaced. I scheduled it for 2 weeks later and his team was in and out in under 7 hours with a crane.
Both he and his team continuously communicated every step and sent pictures of the completed project along with taking care of registration of the new product for me. This was one of the best experiences I have experienced since moving to AZ 3 years ago with any type of contractor.

The crew came out to assess my AC problem and the prognosis was to repair a leak on a 16yr old system at roughly half the cost of a new one or to replace. After weighing my options, getting a few price quotes from competing businesses, I opted for total replacement.
I didn't want to end up with a fully functioning 16 year old AC, when a new one was within within a reasonable cost difference and I wouldn't have to worry about more major repairs within the upcoming couple of years. I made the decision to replace and they were out within a couple of business days craning a new AC unit to the third floor roof of my condo in central phoenix, installing a new air handler, blower and connecting everything together.
There were a few hiccups along the way during installation, mostly due to the old design of the system they were replacing was reversed from the current design, the installers ended up taking the fan, coils and wiring out of the new air handler housing and retro fitting them to fit into the old space. It was a tight fit and the alternative was cutting into beams and a bunch of extra repair work.
After installation of the new unit, there were more issues with my thermostat, it just did not want to work with the new AC, after a couple hours of testing, rewiring, retesting, rinse and repeat, we put a new thermostat, my AC was up, running and blowing cold air once again. After enjoying cold air once again for a few days, I had a complaint at just how loud the new fan was.
I called them up once again and they were back out to tune down the speed of my fan, it's sound level is now back to about what the old one was. I can't believe at just how much time and effort this AC unit took them, over all I am happy with the service they provided on top of the new AC unit I am now enjoying on a daily basis! Great service! We will use again when needed. We recently underwent an extensive kitchen remodel and were looking for someone we could trust to sell and install a massive propane tank and all the plumbing.
It seemed like it would be a challenging job and the tank placement would be tricky. This was a huge project and I would accept nothing but the best, so I set out to find the best in their field and interviewed 5 companies with top ratings.
After finding J on Yelp with his fantastic reviews I called and setup an appointment. J showed up on time, provided a wealth of knowledge around complex installations and permits, and worked with me at length to brainstorm the best way to attack the job.
He did some research, found exactly what we needed, lined everything up and communicated with me exactly when he said he would. He and his team also showed up exactly when they said they would.
This is practically unheard of with most contractors. I found J and Patrick to be more like partners than contractors; rare and fantastic.
We ran into some challenges on the project, not with J's portion, but with the range and then with the company that filled the propane. Was having cooling issues in part of my house that we purchased last year kitchen/ family room and my daughters room. They came out quoted me what needed to be done I said lets do it.
They came out and was right on time and got to work. Added 2 returns and 2 new vents and replaced and fixed all the leaking and wrongs that were previously there.
Before my Ac needed to be on 75 with blinds all closed and constantly running with fans blowing to the warmer side of the house just to try to keep the house Cool and couldn't keep up with outside temps only in 90's Now with the proper installed ventilation 78 and its Perfect all the time I have noticed less electric bill and quieter Ac inside and definitely the Ac is not working as hard as before even being over 100* all week. Also as for my daughters and hot side of the house is now cool and much better even with blinds open.
They also fixed the annoying knocking in the walls from water pressure being to high added a part and cleaned up my front plumbing (even planned plumbing for water softener that we would like to install in the future)and haven't had any knocks or problems.
